  • What happened with the music?

  • Hi, i hope you are still checking this sometime, i want to buy some of your art! I'm serious. It is awesome, Can you make replica or copies of it?

  • where is the music of the video? that was so nice with the instrumental

  • There's a few inaccuracies, but overall, this stuff is scary good..

  • you really got close to my own imagination. love molly @ 1:25

  • Very very good.

  • Wow, the city and bar look almost exactly as I imagined it. The color and the mood is perfect! I see your portrayed the "rooms" at Cheap Hotel as being rectangular, I thought they were ovular in shape? Incredible work.

  • When I first saw this there was an awesome track playing in the background. Can you tell me what it was?

  • I just posted on another vid how I'd hate to see this made in a movie. I take that back. If they rotoscoped it like A Scanner Darkly or just plain animated it in a way that the finished project had the same look and feel as this vid, I'd be happy.

  • very good, i would have liked to see your version of Angelo or even Lupus Yonderboy...any Modern really

  • Just how I imagined it when I read it amazing, but with more people in the bar.

  • Great work, too bad that I was hoping to see some Villa Straylight interiors...

  • how long did it take you to draw all that?

    I love it!

  • This makes me wish that Neuromancer was made into an animated movie

  • Chiba City looks like I imagined it, but much much better. I also liked Molly. Great job. By the way, I 've heard that Anakim Jr. will play Case, is that true? I hope not.

  • wow, some of the drawings are just like I imagined the book in my head...

  • Great work, especially those Molly Million's "glasses" :) She look way cooler than Gibson imagined it ;)

  • I like this video better than the one with the dj krush song over it.

    :)

As I posted on that page, I like your pics. Some are different than I imagined them, of course. Although you did get the stacks just the way I pictured it.

My only suggestion is to be faithful to the source as far as molly's shades extending into her cheekbones instead of just mirrored eyeballs like that awful graphic novel.

But thats just a preference. Great stuff!

BTW, I'd rather an anime than a movie.

  • your haracters rnt balanced correctly look at carlos haunte's work nic stuff though :)

  • u got the influence from few games, its good becasue there were good games ;)

  • why are all the actors rumoured for casting as Case white? Case is Japanese. At least get someone thats asian amirite?

  • who said case is japanese? at the beginning of the novel case seems to be a frequent client of the chat, where nobody talks japanese... i think that h lives in japan, but he is not asiatic...

  • that's right, its was a bar frequented by expatriats.

  • Comment removed

  • He's from the bama sprawl looking for a cure in japan. Not japanese.

  • Thanks for posting, it's nice.

  • I just read the Neuromancer script (it's on Drew's script-o-rama) and share the sentiment I can't believe it hasn't been made yet ... It's probably long been tried but always killed, and would probably be called derivative, ironically! But it still needs to be made. I can see how your art fits certain scenes. Good work.

  • That script was okay. The password being "love" was kinda stupid.

But thats mean of you to say that this needs to be made. What if something horribly predictable like a brittany spears video director directs it?!

They might even change case's name to "cage"!

  • Isn't the four most predictable passwords supposed to be "Love", "Secret", "Sex" and "God" according to "Hackers"?

  • VERY BEAUTIFUL!!

Are your images on youtube only? Why you don't put your sketches without Flash?

  • VERY BEAUTIFUL!!

are your images on youtube only? Because you don't put your sketches without flash?

  • Great concept work. As an engineer, I too expect my early concepts to be tweaked and refined as I work with a production team. Ignore the negativity above. YOU HAVE TALENT.

  • This is a Design CONCEPT I dont see you putting together any fofiko I like the work here keep up with it elbastio

  • Fortunately we know your opinion is shit anyways. thanks.

  • Nice work.

I can't believe that any movies based on Gibsons cyberpunk novels have been made yet! Or, Neal Stephesons and Bruce Sterlings for that matter. It would be damn hard to beat what Ridley Scott did in Blade Runner though. There somthin like 8 movies based on Phillip K. Dick novels and 3 more in the works!

  • Johnny Mnemonic and New Rose Hotel have both been done badly.

  • Neither of those were novels. Both were short stories. Plus, it's suicide to try a movie adaptation of New Rose Hotel -- the worth of that story largely derives from the spare and non-descriptive style.

  • That was a pretty bad movie, although still better than johnny mnemonic!

(just for walken and argentos tits)

  • Comment removed

  • You mean 7 novels based on pkd's word done badly, with 3 more in the works.

(Please god if you a loving god, do not let them make this into a movie. Not in america.)

  • 7, 8, whatever...point is we need good sci-fi movies, majority of PKD's were done badly and Mr. Dick didn't make as much as a penny from all of these movies based on his novels and/or short stories.

And whoever thinks Blade Runner was a bad movie should probably just stick to watching sci-fi with Ewoks and Klingons. Blade Runner was ahead of it's time and is still considered the best sci-fi movie ever made to date...top 5 at least.

  • Indeed Bladerunner is one of the best sci fi movies out there... but the movie could have been even much better if they had sticked to Dick's book.

  • the release date is set for 2011, seriously, it's already listed on imdb. Sorry if I just shook your faith :P

  • It's coming 2011, apparently

  • solid stuff on both the environments and the objects/guns etc. great work.

  • Awesome visuals. I've seen many of these places before... in my head... while reading Neuromancer.

I like the look you created, it's not too gritty (which a lot of visual cyberpunk seems to want to do and it just looks childish & like shit).

  • Dude, some one posted this video after you did. Check it out in the related videos.

  • Awsome!! great concepts :) many similar to my imagined ones :D heh :DD

it could be a great project to create CG film of Neuromancer :D

  • nice!

  • Thats very good for a design school project. You should consider a career in computer games.

  • Hi again, actually you should contact Gibson show him your work and talk about a new graphic novel, I'd certainly buy it. ...I'm not kidding.

  • Awesome awesome work very accurate and elegant. Is this a school thing or is it for a real movie? I wish there was a Neuromancer movie on the making with you as the concept designer.

  • hey there, thanks. That project was my final exam so to say, and i´m thinkin about realizing this Movie one way or another. I´m on it :)

  • That's the spirit, if you need some help with CG environments I am an expert in 3D, and at some point of my learning process I represented some of the Neuromancer locations in 3D, not with the outstanding results of your work but I'll be more than glad to build some of your concepts. Just for fun :D

  • amazing job. wow the only artistic visualization ive seen from this wonderful book. keep it comin'.

  • You must remember: One of the key things to the Cyberpunk universe: Fast And Dirty. For instance, the fight arena wasnt quite chaotic enough, it should be hazy, smoke-filled with barely a decent shot at the projected fighters in the ring. Its the way the story progresses in the headless running-chicken manner that you must capture. Or else all will be lost.

  • you're very right.. .althought I love the artwork in this video.. .it's too slick, and doesnt have this dirty and fast touch which is definitely found in the book.

  • Not bad, but a few flaws.

Chiba City and the arcade looks too clean. It should be full with junk, paper on the floor.

Also, the technology looks too advanced. I know it's set in the future, but in the books, everything was a bit used, bit retroscifi.

  • Beautiful! I hope for a movie version of Neuromancer since I read the book in 1990 (guess where my nickname comes from?). You did a very nice characterization. There is also a guy who could partially fit the description of the one I named myself after, but some details differ... he does have a forest of microsoft behind his ear, but it's the right one, and it doesn't seem pointed and furry. The writing could be "Lupus Yonderboy"... is that him or just a coincidence? Great job, anyway.

  • yeah, yonderboy is in there, once with the back of his head and the one with the see-through windbreaker...

  • beautiful. i'd see that movie :)

  • great images... what software do you use? keep making more....

  • mostly photoshop actually. i didn´t have the time to get used to painter, which should actually be better for straight illustration purposes...

  • nice stuff! chapeau!

  • haha, the only visualisation i have is in my head. i have no artistic ability at all

  • Wow. I like Your visuals very much. Is possibility to see them as images in better quality? Deviantart?

  • i think your visualisations are very different from mine but saying that i think it is a superb interpretation. The scenery for each setting both internal and external is fantastic and I love the way you convey the harshness of the whole world the story takes place in

  • well, let me see yours, now that you saw mine :)

  • Great stuff. I always pictured Ratz as The Collector (Frank Thring) from Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome.

  • Molly doesn't wear sunglasses.... 1/5 stars.

  • Fantastic! It's impressive

  • great! i like neuromancer and your designs are really catching the mood!

  • I Can insert a music on this video? i think that a music of Dj Krush would be wonderfull

  • Hey.... niceeeee

  • Wow, I really dug the Freeside images.. That was such a cool setting, your rendering is very close to what I pictured in my head.

  • If someone ever decides to make Neuromancer the movie, ypu are the man for the scens, you got skills and talent, I read Neuromancer, Count Zero and Mona Lisa Override about 10 times, I could actualy see each part of the book, you did great job there!

  • someone needs to make neuromancer the film and you need to be on the staff :)

panzerKO there is a neuromancer game on pc, but it's old.

  • WIICCCKKKKKEEEED. alex

  • glad you finally came to see it :)

  • i really ment my idea, but my english is not so precise. I wanted to say the things neuromancer evocates on me. To me is a very very fine book with sophisticated ideas not like any conventional science fiction, not like matrix or any superheroes movie or comic like movie, i imagine something more advanced with hi tech electronic music and very stylish concepts more like cunningham, moebius, syd mead....

Your work is so good but we are talking about neuromancer ! the masterpiece !

  • it's cool but i have a more sophisticated and elegant concept of neuromancer, maybe more like syd mead's work or chris cunningham's( bjork ultrasophisticated robots video )

But that's not bad... some good ideas... and a photo of my town's musseum "Reina Sofia" !!!! hahaa

Man gibson is truly advanced conceptualist and his work diserves the finest of the finest look....

  • glad you liked it despite the fact you recognized that montage. i had only 2 month to finish this as far as possible.

Did you say you had your own concept, or just your idea of it? i´d really like to see your work...

  • Some really awesome stuff, loved the book and equally love these concepts. You certainly use colour and light to it's best :D

  • This is awesome. I just watched this with "Everything in its Right Place (Hybrid Remix)". Very nice together!

  • This is some very good stuff!

I recently read the "Sprawl"-Triology again and I'm still flashed ;-). I'm eager to see a Neuromancer movie some day.

  • that's a damn good book...and I quite like your work, man.

I can recognize almost all the scenes...

anyone know if there are any animes, games or movies out there based on Neuromancer?

  • wow this is cool

  • Wow. This is some amazing work. I'm a huge Neuromancer fan and of all the concept work I've seen, this is the best. Congrats.
