This game was great for the large sprites, easy to use interface, & the cookie-cutter character types that were transferred over from the first Lufia. It's a good way to get new comers into RPG's. Sadly though, the true turnbased RPG's & even Final Fantasy have evolved past the 8 & 16 bit classics us old school players remember.
I weep at the death of the true RPG as we remember it.
Why didn't you use Wave Motion? Hell, why doesn't anyone who posts a video of these last four battles use Wave Motion? It's fun smacking around Sinistrals for 3000 a pop with a regular attack.
@UmbreonMessiah, well, for starters, the storyline is hackneyed in cliche. The characters have very little in the way of personality, and there are no cool, new, or creative abilities to use in this game. This game is what I would call a "boilerplate RPG".
The fact that you just called one of the best SNES RPGs hackneyed kinda makes it seem like you're missing the point.
The only way I think one can come to this conclusion is to not have played the game. For its time, each character is SURPRISINGLY well-developed, save for Artea, but nobody likes him anyway. It's another SNES RPG defined more by its combat than its storyline, but even the story is still very good. Convoluted and stretched out, yes, but still "good".
...something wrong with Valor? Guy only got healed for 250...
I love the game, love the music...the only thing that annoys me is that other than Gades 1st appearance and the Tarantula, it's a bit too easy...someone ought to make a "Hardtype" for it.
Daos is really gay in this game compared to the first. Actually I find all the sinstrals boring in this game. It's the regualar bosses which make it cool.
Metallica isn't BAD, per se. But it has become a cliche for people who think they like metal, but then always just refer to Metallica due to the availability of the band. Sorry if I offended you by dissing your emotional investment.
Ah, well if you come to another dilemma like that, lemme know, I'm pretty good at finding songs to fit into places and my annoyingly extensive music collection would be able to deliver.

You're gonna have to say something more substantial to justify THAT.

Red Jelly will deal 80 dmg.
Have fun.

Someone DID make a hardtype, but it only covers bosses--for instance, the sinistrals have 60,000 HP, not 10,000.

There's nothing wrong with actually using the theme.. it sure beats playing some stupid Metallica or Linkin Park song instead.. haha.

They used to be metal, before Load/Reload and St. Anger. Perhaps the new album will hopefully redeem them.

I love this song and everything, but I was kinda hoping the final boss would have a different boss theme... ah well.
Good job on another series well completed.

I had thought about changing it, but I couldn't find or think of anything that fit.
