  • Some day i hope to make it across the pacific and learn one of the chinese arts like this.

  • you'll find good teachers in Europe as well

  • does anyone know why sword forms were developed in tai chi systems?

  • To kill people.

  • Ah, this comment was a reply to the question why were sword forms developed in tai chi but ended up at the top of the list.

  • @jonyjonyy Because Taiji is first and foremost a martial art, from a time where Swordsmanship was the highest display of skill. Every body mechanic leads into weapons training.

  • This is a beautiful rendition of the sword set. Where is Master Mak teaching?

  • Thank you for your encouragement! Sifu Mak is teaching in Hong Kong.

  • Does Sifu Mak have a website? Or any contact info? I sure would like to visit him or take some lessons from him next time I visit HK again.

  • Is it the WU 136-moves sword form?

  • This version is 85 moves. GM Wu Tunan had published books for those routines when he was young.

  • That's a lot of moves. how long did it take to learn? a year?

  • Hi! If you have Taiji Sword experience before, you may remember the frame around 15-25 hours lesson. Then you have to practice everyday until you got all form well.

  • I like the form and the music...very beautiful and relaxing.

Is there a two person form?

  • Beautiful !

  • Thanks you! We hope all Wu's players enjoy this traditional routine!

  • A thousand thanks! I'm so happy! Wu was the first style I learnt and I always enjoy to practice it. But nobody could even show a sword form to me... Beautiful! Congratulations!

  • Our Traditional Wu's Taiji Weapon routine was learnt from HK Wu Kung Yi's system. This Gan Kun Jian is also same as Wu Tu Nan's Taiji Jian Form.

  • Sifu Mak, I really enjoyed watching your sword form.

  • Thanks! I will post more Taiji Routine that performing by Sifu Edward Mak later.
