When you consider that 2000 excellently-schooled Japanese engineers worked on this vehicle for 4 years, there is no way GM can produce a hybrid or electric that is in this car's league. Our US schools suck, our work-ethic sucks, we sustained decades or retrograde republican damage and we worship Forest Gump and just hate smart people. It will take two generations and a whole lot of luck and hard work to even catch up to Japan and Europe.
That's not entirely true. There are many fine Asian engineers working in the US at GM, and Toyota's Prius has a lot of fine American engineers working on it as well.
i agree....i love fords and always will wont even ride in a non ford car...but i love the environment so i am going to buy the new one....and whats cool here in california you can get a sticker that you put on your full hybrid car that allows you to travel in carpool lane with just you in the car...i think thats a cool thing for those who drive hybrids..
I agree, as far as I am concerned the volt is dead. There is no way GM can get out of the hole they are in now. New study suggests that the volt may not be cost effective at all with its current engine.

When will Gm make anything as good as this? First got to get rid of republican philosophy.

GM is a lost cause...a mental midget. All of the hype about the Volt is a joke. Bad management and ideas die painfully hard it seems.
