Hate to say it, but i think you may be a little to heavy for the spoke count on your rims. I highly recommend you get something with a heavier spoke count.

if its got two brakes and a freewheel, its a single speed, if you have a flip flop hub and flip it to a fixed cog, then its fixed

i really wanna convert my old centurion road bike to a fixie. Hey jin, I'd be happy to help, and answer any of your questions. I've got a project of my own, seems you have an old 10 speed racer too. The simplest way to convert it, if your bike is complete is to buy a wheelset with a track hub(located on rear wheel, connects to chain, allows for fixed gear) and you're good to go. Pm me and I'll give you a link to a complete wheelset, wheels tires tubes and a rear hub for $130, I know it's expensive but it's the cheapest out there, I'm getting it too!

Fixed gear means as long as the wheels are spinning the pedals are moving. With a freewheel you dont always have to pedal,you can just coast.Cant do that with a fixed.

single-speed and fixed-gear both have one gear. It's like what Aaron said, you can coast on a single-speed. for a fixie, you pedal forward, back wheel moves forward, you pedal backwards, back wheel moves backwards. you stop pedaling, back wheel stops moving.
