I spent a lot of time at Venice Beach about 5 years ago. That guy at the very end, use to sing this chant about the Korean War in a reggae accent. The last time I saw him, he sounded sick. Then suddenly I stopped seeing him there. Hope he's alright.
i remember hearing this song for the first time on the radio in 05. they played it three or four times that night and had people call in with their reactions.
my friends and i dubbed it "the song that changed the world."
true story, i was drunk in washington D.C. at a friends party. i went out for some camles and when i got to the store there was this homless guy trying to buy a hoodie, he was 3 bucks short. after i paid i gave him the money for the hoodie and some for food. he stood up and asked who was. i told him my first name he says
"no your not, your jesues and i love you!"
he gave the biggest warmest and smelliest hug i have ever had.
this song hits the most hardest shit how fucked up people are and how fucked up the government is the make weed illegal but they let oxycottons and xanax out on the street
this is fantastic everything is right what he says what a homeless guy asks for money what u think his gunna spend it on? he cant save up to get a house or an apartment he has nothing to live for so why not give him som money for some alchol and drugs we spend money on that aswell so no point in judging
there are many homemade video versions of this song and this one is at the top of the list because the visuals actually keep up with the words...well played
everything this guy says is right, not just the marijuana stuff, but the facts about the USA too i mean come on, dont you think if there wer less fast food restiurants people would be more healthy?
or if so, it's not about esteem. Girl graduated from my school, known for a rigorous course, high GPA, and decided to try stripping for fun. She loves her job.

This always makes me cry when it hits the chorus, not many have this sort of empathy with regard to the homeless situation.

its true. but for some people healthy food is too expensive. its ridiculous. its cheaper to make death between 2 baps, then something healthy.
