@learningfreeride IDK if paris hangars fir on caliber plates but I would personally say no, a 44* plate matched with a 195 hangar wouldn't be very responsive for freeride. But its all personal preference so if you want to try it go ahead.
Do the paris trucks turn well? if i got a pair of paris 180s with venom cone road side and a barrel board side, do you think that would be awesome for some reallyy sharp turns and carving?
@jaaammeesss some paris 180s and some venom SHR barrels would be awesome for hard carving. tons of rebound. just set your road side bushing up 1 or 2 duros softer then usual
@ridehard9716 they slide like a tractor. they are not smooth at all, compared to a pair of flipped bear 8/52 for example. speed check are way too. it's just my opinion and personnaly I would not buy them. P.S the problem is not my wheel, I got abec 11 freerides centerset and they slide like butter. thank if I helped you.
What's up man. Great review. So I have a Sector9 Carvin' Niner Pintail and am planing on changing EVERYTHING on it. I ride mostly small hills but am planing on hitting bigger things in the future. I way around 230. So I plan on getting these Paris 195 but I will be changing the pivot cups, or would you recommend just swapping out the base plates for Randal 42s. I think I'm going to run Otang Purple 4Presidents 83a with a set of bones reds. For bushings, I'm gona use 90a barrels RS
@settah17 well paris 195s on 42 plates feels pretty good for DH when your learning, very fluid and stable, not as twitchy as other trucks can be when learning to DH. but I don't like 195s anymore, they are just to wide, I prefer 175mm on 42* plates. I rock regular randal 42s for DH now. But as I would say go for it they are good trucks and fun. You bushings sounds good. the wheels aren't bad but check out S9 raceforms, or classic thane abec11 zigs, IMO they just preform better.
Bear truck or Paris truck for carving, and small hill, crusing, not all the road is in good condition so wat should i do? get bigger wheel? or bigger truck? wat should i get?
@MsWoverine I would go with paris 180s and some 80a 75mm wheels, like lime bigzigs (classic or reflex)
but just look around for wheels, if a lot of the roads your riding aren't the best remember soft wheels will help absorb vibrations making for a smoother ride on ruff roads
@PERRONmedia Thanks a lot. Er. if i take paris 180s can i get gumball or orangtang stimulas? not sure abt their measurement. can they absorb vibration and make smoother ride? Ur help really make my day :)
man im getting a new deck a landyachtz switchblade and i already have the paris 195 trucks with 75mm otangs ...do u think ill get wheel bite (i keep my trucks stock tight)
I just got an Original board like a month ago. It's a pintail 40. So far i love it, but my s8 trucks that i ordered is braking. I'm thinking of getting these trucks but the only thing I'm concerned about, are wheel bites. My board is clear from getting wheel bite if the trucks are 200mm. If I get these, how often do you think I'll get the deadly bites?
@maxiboiful depends on how big your wheels are and how loose you like your trucks. paris trucks turn amazingly but they don't turn as sharp as orginal trucks do. but you should be safe from wheel bite. Just mess around with your bushings and washers until you find something you like. trust me its worth it
Hay, I have a... Let's just say work shop custom board 10in wide 42in long (I made it my self) and I run hills all the time. Would those trucks be good for my board set up?
@Skigday sure, IDK what your board looks like but paris 195s work well for decks 10" or wider or drop through decks to IMO. I like them a lot for all around riding
hey dude I have an Arbor waterman board and I wanted to get some orangtangs wheels but I realised what with the paris 180 I will get just as much wheelbite as with the stock gullwings (am i wrong maybe?) So I wondered wether it's ok to put the wider 195 trucks on the board or it will make no difference? Also, will the truck size make a difference to the turning radius? I'm not much of a pro yet so i need some help thx a lot in advance
@timoxomit wider trucks (i.e. paris 195s) will give you a bit more wheel clearance, but yes your turning radius will get a bit bigger as well. wheel size comes into play as well, your board is a top mount so I wouldn't buy wheels bigger then 70mm. Paris 195s would work on your board, but some paris 180s, on a small 1/8" or 1/4" riser with 70mm wheels would be pretty sweet for carving. Don't forget that bushings play a huge part in how your board rides as well.
Hey, I have a landyachtz switchblade and i was wondering if Paris 195s or 180s would be better. I have sabres and i get wheelbite even top mounted so im going to trade them for paris's...?
@LadiesMan1681 actually you will probably get just as much WB with paris trucks because the way paris trucks work, well they shorten your wheel base. I would stick with randal or bear trucks, remember that landy owns bear trucks and there boards are designed to work best with them.
@KansasCityishome I think they are. but you might want something else like a paris/randal 180, or a caliber 50* truck. a bit more responsive and quick compared to a 195.
@PERRONmedia hey man, i just got my demonseed...and i have randal 180s on it....i hear these are ok. im using my d seed for freeriding...i am also looking at the 50 degree calibers 180mm...what do you think?
if u get khiro replacement pivot cups it takes cae of that prob. but u have to change them when its new or the old 1s wont come out. i have them on my 180s and they are way less twichy than my pair with stock cups
i would have to saw bears are alot better for dh you dont get any cup slop on them and they seem alot more stable and i can ride the 52 flipped at 47 degrees comfortable at 50 mph i ride 5 days a week at maryhill and ride mountain rodes on the weekends i have monkies on my sector 9 roxxane but the best trucks are bear hybrids 40degrees up front and 30 in the back i have had them at 67 mph and they hold tru
@Endlessdonut97 no its a public use road and semis drive it evreyday almost all day if u get there really early at first light there is almost no traffic and if you live on a farm you dont have anyfrinds that longboard and sorry i spend my money on mysetups not a go pro

im getting 42* randal plates and paris 195s for DH and im thinking venom eliminator boardside but not sure if i should go 93a green or 97a pink... what do you think i should do?
@PERRONmedia yeah that was my first thought 93a elims BS and 90a barrel RS but wasnt sure on how restrictive the elims were, ive never used them before... Thanx!
@Thagusha im 170 and i liked a red elim boardside with a yellow elin roadside on randals with a bellyracer. barrels felt sloppy till i used paris hangers.
@sk8absence I love 195s on my d-seed, me and my friend run the same set up on our d-seed for freeride. I have never downhilled on my D-seed but I do prefer 195s for DH on my other boards. and IMO paris BS are kinda twitchy at speeds, I like using randal BPs because the pivot feels better to me.
But if there holding up for you then there good.
Plus 195s feel great on drop decks, or almost any board that 10" wide or wider.
@JLZfilms I have two sets of them, I weigh 240 pounds and my 8 months old set it still strait. Paris beefed up the build of these compared to 180s. So in my experience no they don't
Hey do the paris 195 on a rayne nemesis turn really sharp with the right bushing set up or is there a delay in turn? Also is there a noticable difference in turning on the 195 vs the 180? Thanks
@pathofpain69 I have 195s on my d-seed now, and there awesome. with the stock bushings its awesome for freeride! at least for someone around 200 pounds+
but use some small shock pads, on the paris baseplates the paris logo stick out and when you drop it through it can cause damage to your board.

@joyofsk83 42* plates makes DH much easier, you feel more stable, your confindence goes up, and because of the lean they have they are responsive at speed but still stable. I really only use 42 plates for actual DH I use paris 195s for general riding, like freeride light DH like 35mph max. and the 50* plates will be more responsive at a lower speed. and as for paris or randal I would go randals just because in my experience paris 180s bend really easy. but they 195s are way more beefy and strong

@ItalianGamer360 I had 195s on a nemesis and it was still really responsive.
But there will be some difference from a 180 hangar and a 195mm hangar.
Personally 195s feel better on a nemmy then 180s and if you use a cone bushing road side or a softer barrel it should keep it responsive.

@joyofsk83 some yellow 85a venom barrels all around would probably be good.
and if you want a little more turn and dive get some orange 80a venoms roadside.

@joyofsk83 If I were you, I would get:
paris 195s for general DH, riding, and freeride.
and randal 42s for DH. they make a decent everyday truck to because they are low, and with soft bushings they will turn a lot.
also paris 195s come stock with good bushings.
randals don't.
