  • HAHAHA that trailer is bad ass! XD

    Tempted you buy it. :3

  • @edzlover Is now for free! We just uploaded it cuz we can finally make more cash off ads then sales!

  • aw i was hopeing that was on you tube :(

  • FINALLY!!! Some one who understands that directions and instructions aren't enough, teaching technique is the key! I grow so tired of people showing you WHAT to do instead of HOW to do. You are capturing the essence of artistic talent. I bow to you! And I'm not being overly sarcastic (mostly drunk XP) Telling someone what to do creates wannabes and 'deformities', guiding one further into crafting can do nothing but further the progress of creativity. Keep up the good work!

  • Not worth the time! Or money. You can find PLENTY of free tutorials as well as free information on the fursuit LJ community and ALL over the internet...and many of the tutorials are by much better artists with a prettier end product than this.

  • Nice job on all your stuff, don't let a stupid troll get to you.

  • ...not that despise making ppl pay for a detaild tutorial, but not everyone has a paypal account. and after 2 years it would seen fair 2 let ppl see it 4 free. and finnaly, someone could buy it and then put it up anyways. so what im saying is that its been out for two years.so by posting the video yourself you save all of us time, and money.

  • @THEARBITER1236 It's true, that's why PayPal allows you to use a credit or debit card. The sales of this video are and the blueprints are what give me the cash to keep making free videos. Like, I wrecked maybe, 40 bucks of polymer before figuring out just how long to heat polycarbonate without oven heating. ~No body~ heat forms polycarbonate without oven drying it, but I know every extra step someone has to do reduces the chance they'll be successful.

  • pt. 2 So, now I can integrate polymer "glass replacement" materials into projects. But, in order to do a video on it, I need to buy new polycarbonate, which would be another 40 bucks. So, I need to sell 6 videos to get enough polymer to ~start~ a video on polycarbonate. Then, I need to find common polycarbonate products and transfer the improved process to them. The final project: $15 using grocery store supplies. To get to that point it's $150 in supplies and many hours experimenting.

  • puhhuhuhurlescent xD

  • Just to stop anyone wasting money; The video isn't that good, not worth the money. You can get better tutorials for free on Fursuit on LiveJournal. Plus the end product looks better

  • Ooh! End product?? You don't have any of those posted on your channel! Can you link to yours??

  • I have a wip of a fursuit head using an easier cheaper method I found for free on youtube.

I just don't see why people should have to pay for tutorials that they can easily find online for free.

  • @amethystducky So, now that it's been four months, you've probably got that end product that looks better. Can we see? I've seen the excellent jaw action of your wolf in progress full body video, but it's got a mascot head look as opposed to a living "creature" look. I left your comments up to see whether or not your end product looks better because I appreciate expertise, and I want to see whether your comments were valid.

  • @gryphern

    I figured out why jewtube wasn't letting me comment;

This is a papermache monster bird I made using free tutorials; tinyurl/343mbyq

The talk jaw was good ( I didn't make any videos though) and it was made fast.

Not talk-jaw but complete papermache mask, first bodysuit all made with free tutorials; tinyurl/33hzbpp I plan on using foam on an updated head.

Then my Wantholf a commission for someone; watch?v=MlN22Uij8rI using a youtube tutorial.

Add the correct codes to tinyurls.

  • @amethystducky idk man, $7 bucks is not that bad for a tut if it goes into decent detail. People spend more to eat at a restaurant so I think it is a fair deal.

  • hahaha I really enjoy your videos

  • Keep up the good work , i'm right there with ya with the economic costumes, working on my own out of car sponges xD x

  • Err, search "How to make fursuit" on youtube. You'll get the same sucess searching that.

  • Sort of! for example, one of the top video links about making eyes uses nylon resin. But, that video never tells you that unless you seal the resin with a product you CAN'T buy at the craft stores (online and hobby store only) it will remain sticky and develop a linty surface texture, ruining the eye. One must be critical, very critical, about sources in order to produce a successful result.

  • @gryphern

I believe Beetle/Beatlecat did in her livejournal tutorial on resin eyes.

  • this is definitly worth it!

  • If you want to get tricky you can buy a sewing patten and make a head piece through construction, or you can tuck a flap of fabric under the elastic.

  • You put fabric on the back of the mask.

  • my dad just bought this for me on digital download!

  • Does this video cover how make the gloves and hunch for the werewolf costume?

  • Naw, just the head-- the hunch is easy though, stuff something to the back of a shirt and glue it there. If you want tears with fur, tear open the shirt and glue fake sure to the inside of the tear.

I bought those gloves: super action werewolf gloves.

  • I paid for this video, it's definitely worth the $7!!

I'd like to have seen a little more footage of you putting on hair, trimming the hair, etc, but it was still very informative!

  • By any chance does your video go into detail of how you crafted the teeth for the wolf mask?

  • Yeah, I show how to work with polymer clay (conditioning, shaping, baking, attaching to the mask) as well as using references to create anatomically correct teeth.

  • Snarky! Uses a blow torch!

  • Okay I just downloaded the book I'm thinking about buying the video.

  • The video is a much harder core version of the "make a werewolf mask" video I already have posted--check that one ou first if you haven't already.

  • Just wondering does this also include the building of the stilts or just the mask?

  • Just the mask, you can download the complete how-to book for the stilts for free from that video's page (or you can buy a print copy if you so desire.)

  • This is a separate jaw from the head. If you wanna do them connected, one way is to grab a skin-tight insulating head covering, one of those stretchy ninja ones from a sports store, and sew the foam and elastic onto it. That way you don't have to assemble it, but you still get a maximum articulation of the lower jaw by having it cling to your chin. There's a couple videos around Youtube of similar make to what I described.

  • hello, am in my moms youtube and i am wondering do u do it and i tell u what i want and u make it for the pirace if so me

  • I do show how to do it in the video that is for sale, but I have another video that shows ho to make an easier mask, and you don't have to buy that one. If you go over the video "make an articulated werewolf mask" with your mom she could tell you if it's a project that she would buy the supplies for. In the video replies you can see what other people's masks have looked like.

  • i laughed at the "and it will explain all the crap no one else tells you"

  • Watched most your videos today, I have a project that's been sitting on the backburner due to snags that it seems like you may have already solved. I'm downloading the video now. Thanks for sharing your awesome costuming.

  • this ad is fricken funny!! nice!

  • pearl--lescent

  • Seven silver swans swim silently seaward

Seven silver swans swim silently seaward

Shven silvar sans swim silently theaward!

  • Im downloading the tutorial vid now

  • Good! Doing it on your own may be tough the first time through, and you may even decide you don't like my designs! But you;ll have developed a skill set and a way of thinking that you will always be able to use and rely on for any future project.

  • Right on, Im so hiped that i was telling everyone at my work. I think ill have fun doing this

  • I will pay 50 if you can make ot 4 me, is it possible?

  • Bought it =) you guys are definitely worth investing 7$ in!

  • Thanks, let us know what you think--brainstorming for our next big video thingy, while we get settled in a new area. All the sales cover supply costs of folks who don't like a commission I've done so they don't pay for it or whatever.

  • Cool I will probably get it. Thank You :)

  • bought this video yesterday and started and i am almost done with my mask . great video just what i needed for Halloween

  • that looks very complicated... good job, its a good mask.

  • cute puppy :)

  • Im glads i on your subscripion now. cause i need to lern how to make a fursuit. So i dont fill so left out , when i goto furcons.

  • Downloading the video right now. Might not get a mask done in time for the costume party I've been invited to on Halloween, then again, there's always next year.

  • I can't wait to get it. I have to but can't wait though lmao.

  • Lookit that! I have exactly 7.66 in my paypal! I am going to PURCHASE your video because I am in love with your costume creation and I want to support your cause. Even if I am a starving art student who needs money, I need this video more. D8> So, how do I do this? Seven bucks to your email? I clicked that first link, is that where I do it? I don't want to accidentally pay the wrong person for the wrong thing...

  • In the link "Mathpoet" will be at the top, that's Ben's email address (he's a Mathematician!) When you click the arrow for "details" it'll say "How To Make A Beast Mask. Item PLDZ-1"

When you finish the Paypal window you will be given a link for downloading. The link is active for 48 hours, but if something goes wrong I just give you another one, or we send you the file through another service, like megauploads.

The physical DVD goes on sale at ShockerFest Film Festival, Oct. 3, Modesto, CA!

  • That's sweet! I might consider buying someday. :)

  • That's really cool. I wish I could use paypal but I don't have the patience to make an account lol.

  • Wow, I did not see that coming. ;p

I'm definitely going to check this out once I get a Paypal account lined up.

  • Your glue gun is super clean!

  • That was funny and cool. If I had the money I would buy it just to add to the collection of strange cool thing. Hell I'm sure I would learn a thing or three as well.

  • Yeah, $7 can mean a lot when your project's not being funded by anybody. I had so many questions from professional costumers for plays, low budget Indy movies, I decided to make a detailed resource rather than having the same hour long phone conversations over and over!

  • well when I have $7 extra buck in paypal, I'm going to need to get it
