  • That music freaked me out!

  • Giger channeled his 'inspiration' from the demonic. That is why it is so grotesque and evil. Satan has control of this world until Jesus Christ returns. Satan wants to darken people's minds with his evilness. Satan is also doing this in pop music. Many pop artists have channeled their music from the demonic. Click the link in my profile for the evidence.

  • he is the most interesting artist in the world

  • i love this guys artwork

  • Silent Hill needs to consult Giger.

  • @muzapstar

The results would be absolutely mindblowing.

  • @muzapstar That would be SUCH an amazing combo.

  • What type/ brand of airbrush does he use? I know if you are as talented as Giger it doesn't really matter what type you use, but I've always wondered.

  • I would say, if you are denied the artistic release of your darkest dreams, you bottle them up and release them some other way. H.R. Giger does it through art, many musicians do it through art, many writers do it through art. Fantasy is the one of the greatest capabilities of humanity. We don't need to kill, rape, cause suffering. The brightest ones express themselves through other means. Participation is expression too, viewing art, watching movies, playing video games, it's called catharsis.

  • @Simpson654 this is absolutely true, in fact, in some of Giger's art books he mentions the art as being a kind of realms where "aggressions are let losse, and intemperance and perversion are in order for the day"-in other words, the art is where such terrible feelings are left sparing the good for real life. awesome art. I think that Giger is underrated as a surrealist because of his commercial involvement with films.

  • man has a duelistic nature: good and evil. the dark side has 2 b let loose often. but everyone releases it in their own way. giger releases it harmlessly thru his airbrush paintings. perhaps giger's biomechanoids, baphomet paintings, and other works w/ sexual overtones... reflect our own [secret] thoughts

  • MUSIC IS PERFECT!

  • Did this guy do the album cover art for Brain Salad Surgery?

  • @WhistlersBrother

    He did, indeed!

  • @ParadoxIncarnate Thanks for confirming that! I thought it looked uncannily familiar. Really unique style.

  • what the fuck is going on with the background music?

it's definitely spine-chilling and unnerving (although no match for Giger's artwork ) if anyone's got a clue what genre it is or who made that psycho shit please enlighten me

I want fucking cd's of that genre by the dozen in my library

Just reading Vertigo comics or shit and hearing to that mind boggling hellish motherfucker

  • @WTAWWR08

I have no idea who the background music is by.

The only thing kinda like it in my collection is a double-CD by the tattooist Paul Booth called "Inspirational Hymns".

  • @DiaboloVF

It sounds almost like Ethnicolor by Jean-Michel Jarre but with special edits for the film.

  • @WTAWWR08 i was kinda wondering if it was celtic frost....

  • @WTAWWR08 it seems like they layered together a few different intros from Jean Michel Jarre songs (off the 'Zoolook' album) to make the soundtrack

  • I am also an artists, most of the stuff i do is for death meatl and grindcore bands so most of my work is utterly brutal and disgusting, i have succeeded in making someone vomit upon seeing a drawing of mine, But i am actually a pretty nice guy, in fact i try to avoid conflict whenever i possibly can, this seems like good evidence that perhaps Giger is a nice guy after all

  • @GoreGrindingTerror hey man I'm doing a death metal project just wondering if I could check out some of your designs If they are good we may negotiate a price. I can show ya some of the tracks that I've done aswell

  • @AlexG1972 That's interesting. Flaubert said that to write I like a lion you need to live like a lamb. I'm wondering if it's true for artists as well. Cronenburg, Lynch - you see interviews with them and they could be the guy next door. Lynch sounds like Ned Flanders.

  • H.R. Giger Paintings are like "Where's Waldo?" but with penises. And the answer is everywhere.

  • Its hard to rhyme a, word like vagina.

  • "please go to change this."

    amazing.

  • Genius...fucking genius!! love this man

  • He must have gotten dosed with Albert Hoffman's first batch of LSD pretty young.

  • H.R. Giger is the master of gothic art.

  • hm, the background-music sounds like something from jean michel jarre, but darker?

  • Cool

  • fear guilt anxiety thats what i feel, art turns into obssesion of the mind i believe even when you are just getting started into art

  • He is a living architect of the Great Beyond. An artist of the forbidden. His talent is almost God-like. Genius. Someone should write a book on his life and art.

  • "Womens make me often suffering so much..."

    I hear ya, Hans... I hear ya...Amen to that!-LOL

  • Giger is other world

  • The man is a genius of vision and energy.

  • get rejected too much and women all look like Giger's art

  • hell yeah

  • I supose all artist suffer from some sort of obsession....anxiety.....or they wouldnt push the boundries of what we percive as Art....maybe Giger is leaving us a legacy to challenge us or even enlighten us!

Life is about taking risks....or we have no life at all....do we?

  • Wonderful art and expression...

  • best biomechanics artist

  • Thanks for adding! I like Giger's work for years, It fit's very good to Black/Doom/Deathmetal and Ambiant music....Facinating, Beautyfull, Twisted,SereneDarkness...Greetings from the Netherlands.

  • if anyone living knows what hell looks like its this man!

  • i heard he was fucked up in the head but its just freaky and scary

  • 'Probably the best occult artist' I agree with this, his work is exceptional.

  • I think his works beautiful, it doesnt seem that dark to me................

  • I have a feeling he's probably a pretty nice guy. A lot of people who create really dark stuff are actually fairly gentle.

  • I really doubt he is a nice guy deep down inside.Open your eyes, his art goes a-lot further than just being "dark"...definately one of my favorite artist`s though.

  • Well, I've heard that, during the filming of Alien, his mother was unwell, and, consequently, he spent a great deal of his time with her.

He definitely has a nice side.

  • You can have that opinion if you choose.

What would YOU prefer he create?

Artists Do Not conform & compromise their integrity to appease those who prejudge.

What is your perception of a Mr. Nice guy?

His art is his own, what is "further than just being dark?" mean?

Misinterpretation of art and philosophy has created NOTHING but war and hate.

    He hides nothing.

Occult science may be "dark" as you say,to only those who allow society to dictate their entire perception of reality.

  • Chill the fuck out man!I was just saying what I think of his art.I dont know him and neither do you so stfu!

  • I am totally chill-

I'm also "just saying what I think of his art" as well as responding to the constant criticisms he faces.

To doubt he is even a nice guy, based solely upon what he may create with paint,is VERY bizarre to me when so many in this world create literal destruction with everything but paint yet are admired as heros.......

  • Wow you're so deeeep...

  • 1thesandmancan1 : we all have a dark side

  • @wookie72

I agree. I think it's because such people express the disturbing things that are a part of everyone, instead of holding them in and letting them eat away at them, like many people do.

  • Es un genio. El diseño de Alien es excelente.

  • brilliant and imaginative man!

  • A visionary artist who draws out images from Heaven, Hell or maybe another dimension and puts them onto canvas like captured demons!

  • he's just awesome , his imagination îs just breathtaking, the shapes , the ideas, just awesome.

by the way does anyone knows theodor severin kittelsen ? maybe you like him, he's totally different to hansruedi giger but he makes some awesome and morbid works too :) you can check my theodor kittelsen tribute

  • what a cool vid

  • giger is a man of complex dark beauty

  • Beautiful. Great man. Legend.

  • he still listens to his mom? his artwork is great though.

  • Absolutely stunning artwork. I've been a fan of his unknowingly ever since I saw the ELP's Brain Salad Surgery album cover and saw the movie Alien.

  • i love his art!

  • The original ALIEN design really struck a deep cord of terror with me when I was a kid in the late 70's. It's almost like the ALIEN design is real and natural, almost a little too scary. It's fascinating.

  • Yeah, a lot of designs for aliens you see in film and TV look like designs, not real. Geiger's Alien looks as if it could exist somewhere out there.

  • I'm not disturbed, I'm amazed at his art. It's werid and scary, but awsome.

  • there are no words in the english or any other vocabulary to describe Giger's work. Got his Necronomicon a few years ago, Blew my mind away is an understatement, no matter how many times i go through it it is outstanding. Brill bloke, pure raw talent...genius more like :)

  • looking at toher artists Mr.Giger has a styl unquely his own i know they say all artists hav ther own styl but giger defines his styl as his own(i dont know if that makes sens but it does to me)

  • giger is the best....scary, disturbing, evil...filthy...cold.....awesome¡¡¡¡

    so dude how much?

  • my heart and soullllllll!!!

i just bought a Giger art book that was pretty expensive, and found out, when I came home, that it had been autographed by DALI!!!!!! actually!!!!

    my two gods coming together!!!!

  • !!!

back in the early 90s Giger signed a bunch of his books with Dali's signiture. they're worth lots.

  • ah! ...so is it him or Dali? haha!! because it says "hommage".

...so is it Giger's hommage to Dali? fuck... I have to go look at it again, it's on a pedestal in my living room. <3

  • Necronomicon 1 , you don't seriously think its a real autograph???????????

  • I just got a 2008 giger calender that I never thought were made but are, he is just too amazing, his imagination of cold, dark, metal and sexual like landscapes and beings are not just outstanding but unlike anything I ever see.

  • Doing that affects the integrity of what you want to accomplish.

  • I believe that self expression, no matter what context, is the most important thing and one should not work to change one's idea of self expression.

  • Don't forget his work appears in the movies "Alien" and "Species". It's sad even his mother was only semi-supportive of him. When I want to paint something morbid or semi-morbid I feel this same kind of pressure from my wife, mother, and some peers not to paint it or change it, however I don't.

  • His work appears on a lot of album covers, one of the best of these is "How The Gods Kill" by Danzig. It features the wonderful "The Master and Margeritha" it is the perfect accompaniment to this "Black Mass". A definitive Danzig album and a killer Giger cover.

  • Giger is God

  • I Like the Music, anybody knows this Song?

  • Giger por siempre!!

    Master!!

  • He is genius!

  • Thanks for posting. Its cool. Giger forever!

  • This man is my hero thank you son much for posting this video i adore it :)
