I think the fact that Bella is weak is because the Vampires she comes up against are impossible to defeat where as Elena's Vampires are easier to kill with the wood and stuff. Of course, I personally hate Bella's personality though so I can't be the one to judge.

I love Elena to death but it always annoys me how she finds out something, runs away in her anger, and then shows up at the Salvatore boarding house, instead of just talking. Course, a tea party would not have been NEARLY as entertaining!!!!!

well, we all have our ways to deal with things. normally mens do run away in anger to be alone and show up later. and to be honest, if she would stay and just listen, things would be way to easy and not really entertain the mainstream viewer.

I like that she actually gets scared shitless when he tells her what he is, unlike pothead Bella who thinks it's just wonderful. I haven't read any of these books (Twilight or VD), but I saw the first Twilight with my sister since she begged me and MAN, that was wretched and Bella is unbelievable as a character. Elena's more of a real person. I know I'd have flipped the fuck out if I found out that the guy I was into might be a killer.

@EyeHateRemakes123 lol well in the book Elena was very bold and independant and she wasn't this whiny, scaredy cat in here. That's mainly what I hate about this, cos they changed it so much from the book to try and copy as much of twilight and true blood as possible. :(

The last part was even more heartbreaking. I hate it but I think it's a good thing though. That gives Elena some more time to think things over. At least she didn't turn out like Bella. LOL
