Simone Beaufoy is not new about these exploit.
This movie is amazing but it looks like the famous Full Monty in far 1997.
Similar lines: bad conditions of life(steelworkers fired and without money=lifestile of poor indian people), an attempt of redemption (a strip=a possible victory ina famous show), outcome unexpected(strip turned fine=victory at the show), final amazing performance(final funny strip=final amazing dance).

What you're describing is the basic outline of most films, but just assigning examples from Beaufoy's films. A lot of stories are the same when you get down to the bare ideas behind them.
