  • @wisgliebau so true. but then again it is a magic land. lol!

  • When they put on performances of this now, do they still use the appalling stereotypes of "Indians" saying "ugga-wugga" and stuff like that? How do they get around it?

  • @ferociousgumby Can't you just enjoy it without looking for a reason to be offended?

  • sorry, but no boy could ever be a father

  • Put snow on during song. cool

  • Wendy was so annoying..

  • I watched this all the time as a kid... But this is the first time that I realized the set was supposed to be differentiating the Lost Boys living underground and the above-ground scenery. Strangeness.

  • im 15 and i remeber when i was 6 watching this!! o thoes were the days <3

  • I like it better when Peter and Wendy sing "Distant Melody" together..

  • Distant Melody is one of my favorite songs of all time, especially with Mary Martin singing it.

  • We all just need to slow down in life and just smoke a peace pipe lmao look what it did for them. Imagine what it can do for YOU!

  • Ugg-a-Wugg was always my favorite song from this show.

  • Mary Martin is one of the greatest legends of Musical Theatre. It's so wonderful to see how talented she was. Her lullaby made me cry.

  • a bubble blower peace pipe, heck ya!!

  • "Lets smoke a peace pipe" YES

  • heres your slippers FATHER heres your pipe FATHER heres your pillow DADDY! I LOVE TOOTLES!

  • I love "Distant Melody." It shows how Peter, though he outwardly is glad he's a little boy and doesn't have a mother to tell him what to do, is inwardly empty and longs for the time when his mother comforted him. It's almost heartbreaking.

  • Thats not true!! i love peter more than tiger lily although she is a fine dancer.

  • Wendy and Peter sitting underneath a bunch of trees. S.i.n.g.i.n.g. haha. This brings back soooo many memories. :) Tiger Lily forever!!!

  • @GeneKellylover1 not true peter and wendy are better together

  • I SOOOOOOO wanted this underground treehouse thingy when I was a kid.

  • I used to always think they were saying Quebecois... When I was really little

  • For those who do not know, Mary Martin's son grew up and lived in a Neverland called Dallas. His role as J. R. Ewing made him more famous than playing Capt. Nelson of I dream of Jennie.

  • "You're soo strange. "There's something she wants to be to me but it's not my mother." Sad, for there's no such term as "girlfriend" in the language of Neverland.

  • i love peter pan there are like 3 diffrent ones.

  • @beefrd Me too! Peter is so good at the dancing! He is very active.

  • yes....pale, blonde tiger lily is definetly a redskin...

  • Peter's Lullaby

  • Why they called lost boys

  • @etb1244

because theyre lost and fell out of their cradle when the nurse wasnt looking so they got sent to neverland.

  • Friends

  • no volume I can't hear anything

  • I love how Peter and Tiger Lily smoke weed before the song. They probably did that before every other song they did too off camera XD

  • I would be scared as shit if Indians came into my house screaming their heads off like 0:00 to 0:09

  • HAHAHA you silly ass

  • So I thought the reasoning of the lost boys was that they didn't want to grow up, yet Peter is smoking a pipe, reading the paper, and pretending to be old.

  • @TreesOfBaylor

It's a laugh for children to play that they're adults. It's the prospect of becoming one for real, and never going back, that scares them into going to Neverland.

  • With the children close by...mother

    -gigglesnort-

  • Robin williams was a good pan lol

  • The lullaby is so pretty.

  • That no hands pole slide got me in so much trouble when I was little. The first week of kindergarten I got stuck to a pole and it took 3 monitors to get my legs untangled.

  • Best song of the whole play is that Indian one at the beginning - most fun. =)

  • my dance company had put on peter pan a few years ago and one of the numbers was the "ugg-a-wah" and i never knew where the song was from...now i do :)

  • I want me some peace pipe!

  • peace pipe is weed!!

  • this my farvoti part

  • this my f

  • Who would've thought chanting about agua=water could be so much fun.

  • no, they are saying "ugg-a-wah", which is the name of the song.

  • DRUGSSSS

  • As a small child, I always vowed to stay up past this scene to see the end of the movie.

This song always put me out... I could never do it.

    Such fond memories....

  • Peter Pan... he sounds oddly like a female... lol.

  • That's because he is? o_o

  • Note the lol at the end of the comment. Ussually lol insenuates sarcasm. Yes, I know Peter Pan is played by a girl. He almost always is.

  • @Boonedaba i dont like that :$

  • Don't like what? It's true. In nearly every stage version, Peter Pan is played by a female.

  • @Boonedaba It's a tradition. ^^ Along with Hook and Mr. Darling to be the same person. ^^

  • Great scene! awesome film!! Thanks for posting

  • I love the lullaby. It's so beautiful.

  • this was my favorite scene when i was younger. i luv tiger lily.

  • omg im an indian, it was SOOO MUCH FUN!!! (:

  • well, peter, girls do mature faste then boys, so while she has the mentalit of 12? and he and she are both 12 he is mentally 9? maybe kinda?

  • omg this is so EPIC. i remembered loving that pole when i was a kid because everyone dancing/slid down on it and it was so magical. i love this version so much. memories. !!!!

  • Aww... that was so cute how he laid his head down on her after...

  • I love how all the boys are in nightgowns. heehee

  • tiger lily can dance better than peter

  • @pinkerton3gg I was thinking the exact same thing.

  • @pinkerton3gg not true!!

  • @pinkerton3gg I disagree!

  • @pinkerton3gg tiger lily is supposed to dance better than peter.

  • I love "Distant Melody". Glad I'm not the only one that wanted to play Peter.

  • my camp put on a play and i was in the choir (the girl who played peter pan didnt know how to sing) and we sang this song and it was my favorite.

  • i love how the little boy doesn't know whose hand to shake LOL

  • lol keep your eye on him the whole dance xD it's funny

  • I love this song so much

  • i'm peter pan in my play!!¨yay

  • I really wanna play peter...but the woman directing at my school typecasts like no other. So since I'm the only girl auditioning who's not white, the best part I could get would be tiger lily. she's still awesome though!

  • i wonder whats in the peace pipe?

  • in this version it's just a bubble stuff pipe xD It could be dish soap for all we know xD

  • when I got to play Tootles, this scene was my favorite.

  • I tried to do the no hands thing, but it didn't quite work and had to use two. Ah, the good old days.

  • hey i tried that once with no hands, but uh lets just say i had to get stitches

  • mary martin died exactly a month after i was born=[...it was actually my due date...this is my fav. EVERYTHING!!! movie [all of 'em] book musical the whole bit. it has been my dream since i was like 5 to play peter pan in some big production =] sometimes i think it was some sort of sign, im supposed to do something big like this.

  • I loved this movie when I was little! And then I was in the play when I was in 7th grade, and I loved it. (I was one of the twins)

Distant Melody is soo pretty it makes me cry everytime.

  • I was in this play in 5th grade. I was a random lost kid. One of our Peters was played by a boy. Distant Melody sounded weird in a deep.

  • wow distant melody is such a pretty song

  • @QueenWebster And it's a sad scene, too! The Cathy Rigby version played up more of the complex, almost tragic side of the story.

  • @iamnowchristine Yes, she did, and she did it beautifully.

  • My, she was nearly 50 when this was filmed...makes me want to reconsider auditioning for that part...

  • I was in a version of Peter Pan when I was in high school. I played Wendy ^^ Random fact.

I love this movie. This is my childhood right here.

  • The first song would've been awesome in the Disney version(better than "What Makes the Redskin Red" in my opinion:P)

  • This song sounds like it was written for Hope and Crosby in a "Road" movie. Ha. Ha

  • aww the littlest boy keeps looking at the others b/c he's not sure what to do

  • It is kinda cute... ^.^

  • Tink said "You silly ass" again

  • that's what she says in the book, that's why she says it all the time. They wrote it into the script for Hook, too. The movie Hook, I mean.

  • ha ha i did too. but i hit my head on suttin then fell off and i luv that lullabye ... its cute

  • love this song!

  • pow wow. thats my favorite part.

  • I tried sliding down a pole that way when I was little.

    ..fell rrright off.
