Benjamin Franklin did not invent them! He invented bifocals. They were in fact invented somewhere around the 8th-12th century. There are numerous historical references proving the existance of lenses prior to Franklin's birth.

I do hope by ten /glasses/ you mean ten /cups/, as in 8 ounces, or you are overdoing it.

These days the general rule of thumb in sports, is considered to be half your body weight in ounces. Given 10 cups = 80oz,that would mean if you are around 160lbs it would be right. Whereas if you are closer to 140lb, it would be 9, etc.
