I truly thought if raja bell was to start as the 2 guard and Iverson as the point guard, they would of had a better shot of winning. Iverson had matured as a player and trusted his teammates. He was prepared to take the role of being a combo guard.
Larry Brown helped A.I a lot, but A.I also helped Larry Brown around the league with an awesome winning record. I heard Aaron Mckie stating "This is the first for the coach."
@invincible20, LB was never his coach in High School, and he was amazing with his raw talents. In retrospect, would MJ and Kobe have their rings if not for Phil Jackson's enormous knowledge about the game? I'm not disputing your statement, but I believe that most of these superstars need a legendary coach to win championships- not all the time, but most of the time.
not that their bad players but man that team had nuthin a t the time but ai and some defense cause most of those guys were old or young too young that no one had hear about them and they hadnt done anything yet big nasty is a perfect example brian skinner i mean come on makes you respect allen as a great player had no team to pass to thats why his assists werent that great but man he could score over any body while being doubled and having 8 to 10 eyes on him at all times and being banged up
wow i forgot eric snow man how the hell did he do that man that bucks sixers series was something else boy it was special yet no one talks about it and not enough people talk about raptors sixers carter vs ai much either i mean you had cassel ray allen big dog i think michael redd was on that team not starting vs ai aaron mckie mutombo wow i just noticed what a not fair fight for the sixers that was no offense whatsoever i mean you had guys like raja bell eric snow a.c. green john salmons
Best little man in NBA History! Sorry Isiah, if A.I. had teammates as great as yours, he would have been a champion! Anyway, A.I. is still a champion in the hearts of his fans! =)))
@jan279 yeah but isaih had to sacrifice his game at times for the team he had to work on his defesne and passign more he i would say is 1a and the answer 1b for the best little man 6'3 and under player ever
Carter missed that shot because he wasn´t focus, he went to receive his degree to north carolina the same day of this game and just arrived 2 hours before it started.
What an amazing documentary about a guy who needed the right coach to show his true ability w/o larry brown its been hard for allen not every coach knows how to get the most out of their players

man... AI deserved the 2001 championship.
he made that almost all by himself, without caring about his own health... that's one of the reasons why he is my favourite player ever!
