  • Terminator 2 and Offspring smash - This dark side of oz is bullsh*t, it doesnt even sync up

  • when the angels come for me, i imagine this is what it will sound like. Same sound as when i came into this world even though i'm 46

  • This song changes the whole mood of the film instantly. It feels like death.

  • I've been clean for 4 1/2 years. I think the coincidence is enhanced with mind altering drugs...hopefully I will never know. Otherwise I don't get it. By themselves they are the best of both.

  • @sobernow11 You are not SOBER enough.

  • @ajstory brilliant...just fucking brilliant

  • watching this while tornado sirens are going off outside... they blend really well!

  • the cha-ching to color at the end is amazing =)

  • it's the definition of coincidence.

  • yes, this is a coincidence

  • I grabbed my guitar to play the chords, but the wind took it. Dam air guitars.

  • lol @ 4:45. I grabbed my guitar and started playing the bassline xD

  • Video and song, NO COMMENT.... <3

  • I *love* the mix of this song.... it's just so unique. It sounds like you're hearing it down a tunnel.

  • i think it fits great for this song

  • I wonder where those chickens are today...

  • This is great. Very beautiful. Love the Floyd :)

  • Perchè la morte non è altro che uno strano e lunghissimo sogno...bellissimo video!

  • a los dos idiotas que no les gusto este video son unos hijos de puta .. ellos no saben nada de música moderna... que se metan sus gustos musicales bien en el orto...

SOS UN GENIO MAN ;) .. ME ENCANTA ESTE VIDEO....

    GENIO !

  • I fucking love this

  • if this is a coincidence, then its the BIGGEST coincidence in the history of mankind

  • the vocals give me chills, especially when dorothys yelling to get into the basement. and WoO is always my favorite movie!

  • The whole Dark Side of the Rainbow I wasn't really impressed by....except for this sequence. This really makes TWOO look really dark and depressing. Just stunning.

  • Way cool!

  • it's really amazing how the track fits the movie

  • at 2.22 its just shear heart break. that single moment is what makes it such a devastating tune

  • So much emotion, what a moving piece.

  • freaking perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Don't get wtf im supposed to be looking at! haha

  • @jessicapretty10 the computer screen.

  • @Aimitolcic gee, thanks... lol (:

  • Bravo! Kewl! Very enjoyable! Cheers!!!

  • I don't see it.

  • thank you for the goosebumps

  • Youre supposed to start the music after the 3rd roar of the MGM lion, but this is great to share!

  • What a load of old bollocks. Who needs 'video' to Darkside? If you need visuals to this album, you shouldn't be listening because you AREN'T but are watching, which in turn means you aren't stoned enough. Class dismissed.

  • I don't really believe in this sync stuff, but ever since I watched this a few years ago I thought this song went beautifully with this scene.

  • This video revealed the secret... :-O

The key is on 2:24... (climax) But don´t tell nobody!

  • What a brilliant piece of film making and the song goes w/o saying.

  • Whenever I hear this song, I think of this part of the movie, or vice versa. Hell, I think of this song when ever there's a storm!

  • Epic

  • this is PERFECT. holy crap.

  • Great Sync! This is the best one I have found on YouTube of this scene! I spent a LONG time replacing one of the audio tracks on the newest Oz DVD with The Dark Side of the Moon audio and yours is pretty much dead on... good job.

  • for most of the movie, it's just common coincidence...but this scene with this song...dude it's weird...

  • Fantastic idea!!!

    Best song in history!!!

  • Yes i love Dark side of the rainbow and alice on the wall check out the new sync out though give it a look dark side of nemo

Search dark side of nemo or click my name for preview thankyou , it's not finding nemo ..

  • yes, brings tears to my eyes. Incredible how they flow together so well. thanks for posting

  • so beautiful i cried.

  • GREAT!!!

  • bellissimo bravo!!

    to melt away....

  • wonderfull...incredible

  • Coincidence or not,it's very weirdly charming!!!*****

  • Play this one in my funeral.

  • Maybe the synchronization has something to with aural equivalent of the Golden ratio, which is favoured by all types of artists, perhaps? Not sure how to go about testing the theory. I know the ratio is important in freemasonary.

  • Maybe they used that later when they built The Wall.

Just kidding. Sounds like an interesting theory, but I have no doubt that DSOTM was intentionally written as an alternate soundtrack to Wizard Of Oz. Pink Floyd had already written a legitimate soundtrack for the film More in '69, four years earlier.

Why couldn't they use the structure of an existing film to create their own music? Contrary to popular belief, structure is useful in song writing. Genius is 1% inspiration & 99% perspiration.

  • But keep in mind getting a print of Wizard of Oz back then would not have been very easy. It was not as easy as walking down to Blockbuster. Could they have done it? Sure. But it would have been very time consuming and cumbersome. I'm not sure why Pink Floyd wouldn't have just admitted it by now if it were the case.

  • TV studios have used video tape systems since the 50s. Wizard of Oz was maybe the most widely rebroadcast film in history. It first aired in "56 & has been airing ever since. It is not hard to conceive how PF could have acquired a copy & playback equipment. Film prints were even more common. The film was re-released theatrically in '49, '55 & "60 in countless movie houses. Also, PF did spend a very long time in the studio recording these songs. And, if they admit to it, it kills the mystique.

  • this is my favorite song

  • it kind of seems like anytime you mute a show or a movie and listen to music itll kind of go with the music, real creepy. it's amazing. we are all one dude

  • Pink Floyd keyboard player and founder member Richard Wright has died, aged 65, from cancer.

Wright, known as Rick earlier in his career, wrote The Great Gig In The Sky and Us And Them from the 1973's album The Dark Side Of The Moon, which stayed in the US album chart for more than a decade.

Gilmour said: "He was such a lovely, gentle, genuine man and will be missed terribly by so many who loved him."

    Rest In Peace

  • @fukkuf Its been said Richard Wright wrote this one for Nick Mason after Nick got over his fear of death. Dont know if its true. Interesting though.

  • try playing the band's next album - "Wish You Were Here" after Dark Side of the Moon" is over, click channel for a teaser/spoiler/trailer/example : above...

  • excellent song, excellent video, well put together the drugs done the trick LOL XX

  • What great images to sound! Very cool, thank you for this

  • great!!!!!

  • this is freakin awesome but this is the only song that works.

  • Great Job, Awesome, thanks for taking the time to share this with everyone, your timing is perfect!

  • Awesome. I remember trying this. Pink Floyd is my favourite band, yay. I do NOT think, however, that Pink Floyd made it sync on purpose, and that is because it does NOT sync much more than it does sync, people just don't realize it because it doesn't stand out

  • Okay, who else would've hit it back then? I know I would've.

  • rolleyes

  • Oh how I long to find another concious being who sees the "deeper meaning" that has become so evident to me in all this - I would like to say "I live in hope" but I have no hope left now.

  • Different!!!!

  • che viaggione :)

  • you're going to believe what you want to believe, personally i think its trip. Maybe everyone else just isn't high enough?

  • I've watched old looney tunes cartoons where all the farm animals are bobbing up and down to swing music, with the sound off and my tunes on that synced together far better than this hooey. Too much acid, people!

  • define too much acid...you seem experienced watchin cartoons synced to music

  • Too much acid;definition: treminology. The act of thinking something is visible, or occuring, when, indeed it isn't, caused by severe brain damage brought on by the usage of far too many halucinigenics,i.e.,lysergic acid, in one's lifetime. There you go! Now, go turn on the old cartoons, put on any rock CD, and see it happen. No drugs needed!

  • stalemate1 hit the nail right on the head - I'm, for once, speechless.

  • Truly, One of the best Sound clips added to The Wizard Of oz, I have EVER!!!EVER!! seen and heard!! BRAVO!!!BRAVO!!!

  • I honestly do not believe the album was made to correspond to the Wizard of Oz, BUT when I watch this part, it just blows my mind. Her voice is amazing and the way her singing is represents what Dorothys body language is saying. I Love This Song!

  • Two beautiful Classics coming together in percise unison!! Amazing, truly amazing... the person who found this out should be mentioned highly. Just who was it??

  • was DSOTM started right after the third roar from the MGM lion at the begining?

  • I've been meaning to sync myself so I could respond accuratly but havent yet. As far as I know it is at the beginnig.

  • @fukkuf 3rd lions roar.

  • @hardyboy100 i heard it was the second

  • @hardyboy100 4 years later...Yeah third roar...

  • @hardyboy100 Four years later: the third roar...

  • thank you. gonna post his myself. Best bit of the film by far. Really eerie.

  • Very very beautiful :)

  • nice job

  • Just to clarify I didn't sync myself. This is just my favorite segment. Thanks for the comment.

  • Thank you Tube. Dorothy and Pink Floyd. The Wizard of the Moon and the Dark Side of Oz.

  • Thank you for your comment.
