last night i had a dream. I dreamed that i was floating in the air my yard ...OMG!! Exactly like this movie...the only difference was in my house...just this and the music "Comfotably Numb" and was st was all so light, so sweet, so smooth and unforgettable. Flying is a delight! Very very happy!
I've been clean for 4 1/2 years. I think the coincidence is enhanced with mind altering drugs...hopefully I will never know. Otherwise I don't get it. By themselves they are the best of both.
a los dos idiotas que no les gusto este video son unos hijos de puta .. ellos no saben nada de música moderna... que se metan sus gustos musicales bien en el orto...
The whole Dark Side of the Rainbow I wasn't really impressed by....except for this sequence. This really makes TWOO look really dark and depressing. Just stunning.
What a load of old bollocks. Who needs 'video' to Darkside? If you need visuals to this album, you shouldn't be listening because you AREN'T but are watching, which in turn means you aren't stoned enough. Class dismissed.
Great Sync! This is the best one I have found on YouTube of this scene! I spent a LONG time replacing one of the audio tracks on the newest Oz DVD with The Dark Side of the Moon audio and yours is pretty much dead on... good job.
Maybe the synchronization has something to with aural equivalent of the Golden ratio, which is favoured by all types of artists, perhaps? Not sure how to go about testing the theory. I know the ratio is important in freemasonary.
Maybe they used that later when they built The Wall.
Just kidding. Sounds like an interesting theory, but I have no doubt that DSOTM was intentionally written as an alternate soundtrack to Wizard Of Oz. Pink Floyd had already written a legitimate soundtrack for the film More in '69, four years earlier.
Why couldn't they use the structure of an existing film to create their own music? Contrary to popular belief, structure is useful in song writing. Genius is 1% inspiration & 99% perspiration.
But keep in mind getting a print of Wizard of Oz back then would not have been very easy. It was not as easy as walking down to Blockbuster. Could they have done it? Sure. But it would have been very time consuming and cumbersome. I'm not sure why Pink Floyd wouldn't have just admitted it by now if it were the case.
TV studios have used video tape systems since the 50s. Wizard of Oz was maybe the most widely rebroadcast film in history. It first aired in "56 & has been airing ever since. It is not hard to conceive how PF could have acquired a copy & playback equipment. Film prints were even more common. The film was re-released theatrically in '49, '55 & "60 in countless movie houses. Also, PF did spend a very long time in the studio recording these songs. And, if they admit to it, it kills the mystique.
it kind of seems like anytime you mute a show or a movie and listen to music itll kind of go with the music, real creepy. it's amazing. we are all one dude
Pink Floyd keyboard player and founder member Richard Wright has died, aged 65, from cancer.
Wright, known as Rick earlier in his career, wrote The Great Gig In The Sky and Us And Them from the 1973's album The Dark Side Of The Moon, which stayed in the US album chart for more than a decade.
Gilmour said: "He was such a lovely, gentle, genuine man and will be missed terribly by so many who loved him."

Awesome. I remember trying this. Pink Floyd is my favourite band, yay. I do NOT think, however, that Pink Floyd made it sync on purpose, and that is because it does NOT sync much more than it does sync, people just don't realize it because it doesn't stand out
Oh how I long to find another concious being who sees the "deeper meaning" that has become so evident to me in all this - I would like to say "I live in hope" but I have no hope left now.
I've watched old looney tunes cartoons where all the farm animals are bobbing up and down to swing music, with the sound off and my tunes on that synced together far better than this hooey. Too much acid, people!
Too much acid;definition: treminology. The act of thinking something is visible, or occuring, when, indeed it isn't, caused by severe brain damage brought on by the usage of far too many halucinigenics,i.e.,lysergic acid, in one's lifetime. There you go! Now, go turn on the old cartoons, put on any rock CD, and see it happen. No drugs needed!
I honestly do not believe the album was made to correspond to the Wizard of Oz, BUT when I watch this part, it just blows my mind. Her voice is amazing and the way her singing is represents what Dorothys body language is saying. I Love This Song!
Two beautiful Classics coming together in percise unison!! Amazing, truly amazing... the person who found this out should be mentioned highly. Just who was it??
AWESOME !!!!! The clip is very good too
