An interesting idea. I just heard about "blue energy" from RNW's Earthbeat. And, the electrochemical gradient is something you learn in Physical Chemistry classes. Are there competing processes like adsorbtion which might foul the membranes?
only 7%, systems have been rejected as innefficient for only promising to fulfill 15% of global energy needs. what the powers that be neglect to consider, if this 7% is linked with the 15 % from windpower and whatever from solar power, and focusing on these types of energy will inevitably improve and extend. we have to come up with some protection against these vested interests who are willing to devestate the planet for THEIR short-term gain.
