The US military can not be defeated on the battle field, the only way they (we) can loose is if the cowards in Washington fuck it up, get behind the troops and we will win this war, for your children's sake
Just like how over 50,000 deaths of American miltary in Viet Nam won the war there! It's a civil war being waged...we can NEVER win this war if we stay through the life times of our grandchildren we STILL will not WIN. This part of the world is MORE unstable with us there that it was before we arrived!
You guys are shameless. Instead of honoring our young and their heroism, you denigrate them and use them as cheap tool for your propaganda video. Furthermore, the video intrudes on families during their moment of private grief and anguish.
"We are on the verge of a global transformation. All we need is the right major crisis and the nations will accept the New World Order. " David Rockefeller
"Wars are seldom caused by spontaneous hatreds between people, for peoples in general are too ignorant of one another to have grievances and too indifferent to what goes on beyond their borders to plan conquests. They must be urged to the slaughter by politicians who know how to alarm them."
"It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives. "
You Honestly thingk Protesting can stop a war? NO! it can't. Don't you learn from history? It just breeds a liberal generation of pot smoking hippies... War makes to much monety to be stoped by protesters...
Uhhh... Vietnam... Women's Suffrage.. Civil Rights.. But you're right though, we shouldn't protest. I mean, Hitler was the man! He just said that everyone who presented a different viewpoint was crazy, and probably smoking pot. Remember, that though the US government isn't always 100% perfect, the power of the government rests on the shoulders of the people.
Thats not exactly what i'm saying... I'm sayign it can't stop a war... It didn't stop Vietnam... And leaving with finishing the "Job" Will go down as a failure in history... And all those little boys and girls Who died will have been in vein...
This whole - "die in vein" - thing is illogical. It's based on emotion instead of analysis based on fact. We're waging a war using traditional tactics when our 'enemy' is not. To be blunt, it doesn't matter how many have died ---- the relevant question is whether the war is effective. And that of course, is debatable.
The problem with the US policy is simple. There are only 2 real outcomes/options remaining.
1. Pull out and don't look back
2. Mobilize the entire country to full war production and military call up. Go to Iraq, Afgahnistan or wherever the next target is and kill anyone who resists. Simple - thats war.
The US has tried the current tactic used in iraq and Afghainistan, in a little place called Vietnam.....that didn't go to good did it now?
I'm not saying Protesting doesn't get things done, it does, but not protesting war. YOu can't stop a leak with a cotton swab... I'm not tring to be a an ass here... But it's providing jobs for people... Infantry, communications etc...
"You Honestly thingk Protesting can stop a war? NO! it can't. Don't you learn from history?"
Protesting in the 1960s prevented US use of nuclear weapons in Indochina. Withdrawal from Vietnam was hastened by mutiny in the armed forces. How's that for a history lesson?
Strikes in Germany ended World War One. Worldwide condemnation ended the Anglo-French invasion of Egypt in 1956 in less than a week. Plenty more history where that came from.
I'm not interested in someone else's false cause. I'd kill & die for my kids, my family but I don't believe I would ever do that for an incompetent ruler who doesn't even have the right reasons for this war.
jpgorgon ... Would you die for your brothers and fellow countrymen? If so, do not forget our 3,000+ brothers who died on 9/11. We are fighting a global war on terrorism to secure our safety from the butchers of Islam.
To conclude, part of me wants to simply wipe us all off this Earth and get a clean slate again but I know we'll just go back to the usual nonsense driven by greed, avarice and stupidity.
The next best alternative is to simply allow charity to begin at home. Be good, do right.
3) If you want to make a difference, come back here and help your fellow man. There's enough poverty, apathy and pain here for quite a few Iraq tours without the bullets and incendiary (unless you're dealing with gangs).
Blame the Brits for dividing up the Middle East using such straight lines without accounting for the people living there. *laugh* In recent days, it did appear that there were more proactive operations by US troops but were these cases of an itch being scratched or proper surgery to excise a tumor?
2) Yes, there's always going to be war. Especially when you have 2 blind and stupid groups using religious and tribal differences to keep this stupid war going...this is something they have to sort out. You say this will result in genocide? Probably. But seeing that US troops are not actually preventing the ongoing bloodshed makes me wonder if it's just a game of delay and relay.
I've been in the Army (Signals) but not in Iraq. I know what's its like to be indoctrinated to give your life for your fellow soldier, your family and for your country. I've also spoken with non-American troops (British officers, etc) who seem alot more aware of, and therefore less affected, by the hype of being in combat. That means they're more aware of the stupid situation we're all in.

Search the video on youtube "Dick Cheney '94: Invading Baghdad Would Create Quagmire", as you will see Cheney saying the same thing most everyone is now.
There's no lie, just misleading teachers and professors who misrepresent the real meaning of Thomas Jeffersons patriotism through dissent statements. Our worst enemies are within our borders and they will soon have to face the consequences of their actions. Taking responsibility is going to be equal, even for the fascist liberals.
Wow, I hope I never have to face you in a spelling bee.LOL I shouldn't poke fun, it is very possible that you are mentally retarded and managed to get a hold of your moms laptop.:o What a fucko! Damn, being a little crybaby pussy must suck.
Don't disgrace what our soldiers have died for and civilians caught in the fire to build sympathy for your ambitions to pull out of the war in Iraq. You don't know what war is about or what the cost of it. You can not begin to appreciate this. Yes, people die in war and innocent ones will be caught in the fight, but if we pulled out now we would lose more people then in 20 years of being there.
You bring shame and death to this country. You would make our soldiers death meaningless.
I am under the impression that any manner of the use of Freedom of Speech in this country can never shame the country. At the very least, this video shows how wonderful this country is, that we are allowed to express such thoughts without being persecuted. At most, this video is a heartful reminder of the consequences of war.
You can't support America without supporting her right to do this. That's making our troops die for nothing.
No, suicide is dishonorable act and you asking me to end mine would contradict you loving lives of people. You say you love life and don't want the soldiers to die. Do you know what chaos and genocide that will happen if we pull out now? Do you know how many lives will be lost and more to come? Do you how many kids will grow up to take lives away in there? Terrorism will never end. Let's not let it spread.
Hey, I wasn't trying to tell you to kill yourself, that just came out the wrong way. I'm just sick and tired of seeing people fight over this war in every way. As far as terrorism goes, I do not believe it exists. This war in Iraq especially represents how poorly we Americans know our own history. If we truly had a problem with Sadam than we should have never put him in power in the first place. The only way to stop terrorism is to stop training terrorist.
Terrorism exist man throughout the entire world. Israel suffers from it the most, Russia fought a a war with them for over 15 years, and Iran supports and trains alot of them *It's a way for them to participate in fighting without taking responsibility*. Terrorism is very real and they exist everywhere and including here. In fact I know some that been in trained for terrorism but they got away from it.
ava, nice vid im joining and my close friends are soldiers and i have to say that if we pull out now we will leave those ppl to butcher each other... if we pull out now millions will be slaughtered... i am becoming a soldier to protect my country and those who can protect them selves.. if we leave they wont have anyone to protect them
Ava, you are a treasure. I have three young daughters all near your age, and the passion of your generation to speak truth to power, is a value that is truly American.
Our Commander-in-Chief continues to butcher those under his command, using the logic of achieving a victory that like in Vietnam is not definable, much less achievable.
Iraq is so much worse than Nam because we know better; I am from the Vietnam generation and have more "experience" than I need.
very nice great video im not going to an internet fight about the constitution but i will say this ( what this video says to me is BRING OUR BOYS HOME NOW) let them fight for us and not a civil war for someone else
great viedo i feel for both sides of inicient ppl but we must remember our troops had no choice but to go our president called upon them to serve and remember he was not the only one who approved this war. we do need to end this thing. just seems to me that things are getting closer to the end. sad sad.
I am so proud of you Ava. You know more about freedom and the Constitution than all the brainwashed chickenhawk zombies who attack you. This country was founded with three seperate, but equal, branches of government. The founders feared concentration of powers within one branch, especailly the executive. George W. Bush has damaged our country and defamed the Constitution.
Great job Ava...the men behind the curtain are finally being exposed. If this administration was really intent on protecting the American people, they wouldn't have exposed a counter-intelligence unit that monitored the proliferation of WMD's. With Valerie Plame's operation out of the way, Halliburton can continue to sell nuclear components to Iran. How convenient for the Dick. War is a racket.
Great Grandad Vess was gassed in France in 1918. Uncle George Fought under Patton 1943-45, Once he quietly told me that he was responsible for the death of at least 80 Germans.
Did we kill Vietnamese for your freedom? Are you killing Iraqis for mine?
I respect and honor your oath Sir, but you are an American first, and millions have paid with all they had, for your freedom and right to think for yourself, do so.
That speak you talk about is not free it costs. Hundreds of thousands of lives in all the wars till today so people so ignorent people can say stupid shit. Free speech is not a right it is a privilege.
You are incorrect. It is one of the Rights guaranteed in the Constitution. It is an Inalienable Right. That is it cannot be separated or abridged except by the Amendment process. Further Saddam Hussein never threatened our Nation much less our Right to Free Speech. However, the Bush Regime does.
you are incorrect the constitution is just paper with words on it. The Army, Marines Corps, Navy, and the Air Force. Make sure asses like you have the privilage to talk . And only if you fight for free speak such as the armed forces do the you can say it
I fought in this stupid fucking war. The armed forces swear to protect the constitution. I'm offended you would discard it. the constitution guarantees the rights of every citizen, I think you need a civics lesson.
Biased! Everyone wants to comment on how or what needs to be done over there. It is the few within this country that have the courage and resolve to pledge an Oath to defend your right of freedom of speech.
...dont u think, that if iraq has weapons of mass destruction, WHY THE FUCK ARENT THEY USING THEM WHEN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA IS ATACKING THEIR ASSES, keeps me up at night, maybe their planning to save 'em for some special occasion...other then the U.S. ....wonder who is bigger then the U.S.
You need to have made the title clearer, I almost didn't know what you were talking about. I will send this to my daughter who is a student at American U in D.C.... maybe she can pass it on...
Wars + sanctions killed well over a million Iraqi's just to get rid of a ruthless dictator we helped put into power and kept in power. The CIA put Saddam in an apartment overlooking the office of the president so he could monitor him to arrange his assassination to put the Ba'th party in power.
President George Bush. I bet his father cries every night that he named the kid George Jr. Worst president and White House staff ever. Period. This guys makes Ghengis Kahn look like a Freanch street mime...that's Mime, not mine.
no connection between Iraq and the war on terror..why are we there? We need to re-examine the 9/11 attacks and ask this administration more about what it knew before and find out the extent to which they were involved. There is a lot of information pointing to a government cover-up and that plans for the wars existed before 9/11.
Unfortunately that is another RW truthiness. It sounds like the truth but it's not the reality. They are going to try and strike us here whether we leave or not. The delay in attacking America is only because it is a more isolated paranoid target.
I imagine they are working on a plan. The support cells are already here. They just need to import some disaffected youth willing to give their life for the cause. As long as we are in Iraq, we are created them.
That "Iraqi insurgent problem" as you put it didn't exist before we needlessly invaded Iraq based on a pack of lies. We need to redeploy out of Iraq NOW and let the Iraqi's sort it out. Iraqi insurgents are Iraqis fighting against each other. We have no business being in the middle of that, even though we created it. Iraq is NOT some central front of a so-called war on terror. Terrorism is a "tactic". You can't make war on a tactic
Or the blame will be pointed towards blowback of the last 4 years of Bush/Cheney Middle east foreign policy. If they bomb us after we pull out, why wouldn't they still try to suicide bomb us if we are there another 4 years?
we already have had domestic bombers in US, Anti-abortion zelots. Right-wing militia Oklahoma city bombing. If there are attacks in the us after we pull out of iraq my money is on state terrorism, they won't be suicide bombers. But the blame will be placed on Middle easterners....
Sorry, Goebbels would be VERY proud of the propaganda put out by the Bush Admin. Perhaps you still believe the lies about Iraq's WMDs; Saddam's ties to both al-Qaeda AND the Sept. 11th attacks. You apparently haven't paid any attention to The Downing Street Memo or the fact that the invasion of Iraq was for oil. Remember Operation Iraqi Liberation aka OIL? The American people were lied to, the troops were lied to. BTW, where's Osama/Usama, you know the guy they went into Afghanistan after?
I agree it must end but I will NOT protest against my country or its soldiers, I want them home to but there are better ways of doing it... Its just a shame no one knows how
no one is protesting the soldiers or the country. they are protesting the war and people in the oval office that continue to lie about a war that thousands are dying in.
don't confuse the war with the warrior.
Support our troops.. bring them home and demand the truth!
Yes! how VERY sad indeed that the delusional, twisted, deceitful ideologies in power for the last 5000 years have not been able to stop creating the pain and suffering which is so easily subscribed to and supported by those who live and die in fear, and have nothing better to do but fault a young person with vision, who is leading the way forward toward peace.
One is both the mirror and the reflection, seek not to give energy, but to return*light.
i*do not call or label "you" anything, this is your*way of being, your*reality, physically and mentally, your*evil, the pain and suffering is that of fear, that one chooses such a path is their dream. Putting labels and ideologies onto*me is your choice of the fear you desire to see, the suffering you desire to feel.
"If those in charge of our society - politicians, corporate executives, and owners of press and television - can dominate our ideas, they will be secure in their power. They will not need soldiers patrolling the streets. We will control ourselves."
Howard Zinn, historian and author
"During times of universal deceit, telling the truth is revolutionary."
Read*Me as you choose, yet, Again, i*do not say you fear anything, i state you choose to see the fear, suffering and pain you desire to promote, that one may see emotions and chaos in man as evil is their own choice, that one may "believe" such things are beyond ones control is the path they choose to accept, to follow that of others, and the past. Do*Not attempt to place your box over*me, for it is of your own creation, not*mine, and will serve no purpose to seeing or knowing the truth.

Common people don't want war. It is the leaders who determine the policy,
and it is always a simple matter to drag people along whether it is a democracy,
or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no
voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders.
Simply tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack
of patriotism and exposing the country to danger.

Effective at what? Stabilising Iraq? - no. Extending democracy? - no. Defeating Bin Laden? - no. Preventing civil war? - no. Sinking the economy, breaking the US army, devastating Iraq, increasing Bin Ladenist terrorism, earning global contempt? - yes.

You can't support America without supporting her right to do this. That's making our troops die for nothing.
xand0r 5 years ago
You disgrace more than this country and our soldiers by supporting this war. You disgrace life. If you do not appreciate life, than end yours.
Jashinowa 5 years ago
No, suicide is dishonorable act and you asking me to end mine would contradict you loving lives of people. You say you love life and don't want the soldiers to die. Do you know what chaos and genocide that will happen if we pull out now? Do you know how many lives will be lost and more to come? Do you how many kids will grow up to take lives away in there? Terrorism will never end. Let's not let it spread.
russianteam 5 years ago
Hey, I wasn't trying to tell you to kill yourself, that just came out the wrong way. I'm just sick and tired of seeing people fight over this war in every way. As far as terrorism goes, I do not believe it exists. This war in Iraq especially represents how poorly we Americans know our own history. If we truly had a problem with Sadam than we should have never put him in power in the first place. The only way to stop terrorism is to stop training terrorist.
Jashinowa 4 years ago
Terrorism exist man throughout the entire world. Israel suffers from it the most, Russia fought a a war with them for over 15 years, and Iran supports and trains alot of them *It's a way for them to participate in fighting without taking responsibility*. Terrorism is very real and they exist everywhere and including here. In fact I know some that been in trained for terrorism but they got away from it.

ava, nice vid im joining and my close friends are soldiers and i have to say that if we pull out now we will leave those ppl to butcher each other... if we pull out now millions will be slaughtered... i am becoming a soldier to protect my country and those who can protect them selves.. if we leave they wont have anyone to protect them
Irishinvasion07 5 years ago
Ava, you are a treasure. I have three young daughters all near your age, and the passion of your generation to speak truth to power, is a value that is truly American.
TrumanNeuman 5 years ago
Our Commander-in-Chief continues to butcher those under his command, using the logic of achieving a victory that like in Vietnam is not definable, much less achievable.
Iraq is so much worse than Nam because we know better; I am from the Vietnam generation and have more "experience" than I need.

great viedo i feel for both sides of inicient ppl but we must remember our troops had no choice but to go our president called upon them to serve and remember he was not the only one who approved this war. we do need to end this thing. just seems to me that things are getting closer to the end. sad sad.
hinderlj 5 years ago

Did we kill Vietnamese for your freedom? Are you killing Iraqis for mine?
I respect and honor your oath Sir, but you are an American first, and millions have paid with all they had, for your freedom and right to think for yourself, do so.
You are in Iraq on a false mission.

So I guess war really is peace now? I don't need anyone to take an oath to defend my freedom of speech. I'll just speak.

in certain countries they'd just execute you for speaking out. enjoy your freedom people with balls gave it to you
billd88 5 years ago
...and we will continue to enjoy it by speaking our minds.
Feuerkrieger 5 years ago
That speak you talk about is not free it costs. Hundreds of thousands of lives in all the wars till today so people so ignorent people can say stupid shit. Free speech is not a right it is a privilege.
nappy0312 5 years ago
You are incorrect. It is one of the Rights guaranteed in the Constitution. It is an Inalienable Right. That is it cannot be separated or abridged except by the Amendment process. Further Saddam Hussein never threatened our Nation much less our Right to Free Speech. However, the Bush Regime does.
Peacetoyouandyours 5 years ago
you are incorrect the constitution is just paper with words on it. The Army, Marines Corps, Navy, and the Air Force. Make sure asses like you have the privilage to talk . And only if you fight for free speak such as the armed forces do the you can say it
is a right.
nappy0312 5 years ago
I fought in this stupid fucking war. The armed forces swear to protect the constitution. I'm offended you would discard it. the constitution guarantees the rights of every citizen, I think you need a civics lesson.

Biased! Everyone wants to comment on how or what needs to be done over there. It is the few within this country that have the courage and resolve to pledge an Oath to defend your right of freedom of speech.

Wars + sanctions killed well over a million Iraqi's just to get rid of a ruthless dictator we helped put into power and kept in power. The CIA put Saddam in an apartment overlooking the office of the president so he could monitor him to arrange his assassination to put the Ba'th party in power.

no connection between Iraq and the war on terror..why are we there? We need to re-examine the 9/11 attacks and ask this administration more about what it knew before and find out the extent to which they were involved. There is a lot of information pointing to a government cover-up and that plans for the wars existed before 9/11.

xXbraveheartXx 5 years ago
Unfortunately that is another RW truthiness. It sounds like the truth but it's not the reality. They are going to try and strike us here whether we leave or not. The delay in attacking America is only because it is a more isolated paranoid target.
I imagine they are working on a plan. The support cells are already here. They just need to import some disaffected youth willing to give their life for the cause. As long as we are in Iraq, we are created them.
gnuorder 5 years ago

TDanza8 5 years ago
we already have had domestic bombers in US, Anti-abortion zelots.

Aw yes, another delusioned youth.
How very sad.
Ava is so desperatly looking for answers to the pain
and suffering in this world that she will place the
blame on anyone and will follow any twisted, deceitfull
ideology that comes her way.
TheAntiV 5 years ago
Yes! how VERY sad indeed that the delusional, twisted, deceitful ideologies in power for the last 5000 years have not been able to stop creating the pain and suffering which is so easily subscribed to and supported by those who live and die in fear, and have nothing better to do but fault a young person with vision, who is leading the way forward toward peace.
One is both the mirror and the reflection, seek not to give energy, but to return*light.

Aw, yes another another sickening morsel of our
degrading generation; a part of the growing collective
that seeks total "freedom" only to learn that there is
one slavery they can never be freed from: themselves.
"In this world, is mans destiny controlled by some
transcendental entity or law? One thing is for certain
is that man has no control. Even over his own will."
TheAntiV 5 years ago
Do you really think that this so-called "generational
revolution" is new. Please. This pathetic growing youth
movement is just another repetition of past history.
Followers of an anarchy based ideology, in which its
followers beleive they can "set things right." I've
read through history about similar movements; claiming
to be agaist some invisible tyranny, only to become
tyrants themselves.
TheAntiV 5 years ago
So don't call me delusional for I have come to terms
about the pain and suffering that this world brings on
its inhabitants. Reality in a very destructive force,
both physically and mentally, and as long as there is
evil in this world blood will be spilled, mourning will
continue, and great sacrifices will be made. All man
can do is dream, and maybe one day the pain will stop.
TheAntiV 5 years ago
i*do not call or label "you" anything, this is your*way of being, your*reality, physically and mentally, your*evil, the pain and suffering is that of fear, that one chooses such a path is their dream. Putting labels and ideologies onto*me is your choice of the fear you desire to see, the suffering you desire to feel.
Ty*rants are often those who do just that.

Fear? Do you really believe that I fear the pain and
suffering of this world and I chose this path that lays
before my feet. I do not fear for fear is the spawner
of chaotic emotions. Emotions are a symbol of chaotic
forces that inhabit our mind, for man is chaotic and
evil by nature. It is foolish for some one to fear
death, pain, and suffering, for each will no dought
occur in life and are beyond our control.
TheAntiV 5 years ago
Yes, change in inevitable, but is not meant to be
weilded by one man or a group, for change is another
universal constant outside of mans control. If man
tries to change the world in his ideal, dream-like
utopia that we all strive for, that dream will no doubt
become a nightmare.
TheAntiV 5 years ago
I did not chose to see suffering and fear, why would I?
Its how we cope with the fear, the pain, and suffering
afterwards that matters, and like all the evils in the
world fear tries to control and manipulate your
emotions, seeking to urge us in our natural state:
chaos and rage.
