This looks really dangerous, he needs to stick his but out more so he can get that 30 degree angle with his gaffs, huggin the tree could cause a slip and you dont want that, another flaw i noticed is that he is not climbing the high side of the tree.........Safety First bros
with a hard shell tree like I understand a palm can be, I would consider a double wrap for climbing and a second flip line tie in before doing any work. Safety, Safety, Safety..
what kind of shoes are those? I'm curious where would you get those wrap up strings from, and also the one you swing around the tree as you climb? And the shoes? Great video and thank you for the idea. It's lovely. Can't wait to see my neighborhood from the top of the palm (I need to remove lots of dried leaves). :)
once you come climb with advance on maui......their best climber cut 100 coconut palms in 1 day between 20 and 75 foot at grand wailea hotel u wiil be a good palm trimmer they bang out 1oos of palms with up to 8 climbers its like raining coconuts ground crews eat rubbish all day

I prefer to use a bucket lift here in Sarasota Fl. Much safer and more healthy for the tree.

Great way to give palms disease by spiking them all the time. You should be using a tree climber that does not harm the palms.
