I bought this snare for $300 even at my local music shop. It was tuned pretty well already, but I did some fine tuning, and it's one of the best snares I have ever played on.
Hello Shane, I'd like to get some help here. I'm looking for a snare drum that is going to produce crisp, sensitive ghost notes and unrivaled crack from rimshots. Also, I can't stand dry snare drums. I want something that is just going to sing, sing, and sing some more. I'm thinking that a smaller drum, around 14 X 5.5, is going to work best for me, but I'm not quite sure. Any drums you'd recommend for this sound?
@FRIESENZA It's aluminum... And does it matter what it's made of? I personally prefer the Udrum Cherry Bomb, the only reason I was comparing was because of the name. I know they are two completely different snares.

Thanks for the video. I really like the sound of the drum. Only difference is it comes off kinda cheap compared to the other option I may go with which is a mapex Birds Eye Black Panther or a Pearl 6.5x14 free floating snare.
I really want the Pearl, and these alternatives just keep making me want it more. I'm not bashing, I just can't make up my mind!
They discountinued the Chris Adler Signature Black Panther Snare, so this is probably the next best I'm planning on getting... But I really wanted that Chris Adler Snare...
Hey , Nice video. I was wanting to buy a new snare for myself , And I'm a metal drummer , I like cutting loud snares.. Like the chris adler signature. I love it , But its been discontinued , So I have second thoughts in my mind for it. Can you suggest me some snares ? And whether should I just go with the chris adler one or not ?
@Love4Drums1 Dude, if you haven't already bought a new snare, I would recommend this, it's the best snare, personally, that i've ever played, it cuts straight through any other instruments live, but not so much that it overpowers them. In all it's a brilliant snare and, again, if you haven't gone for the Chris Adler I would highly recommend this one, not only for the near perfect sound, but for the sheer build quality, this one'll last you for years :)

This is my favourite sounding snare of the new Panthers I've heard so far. Blaster is also quite nice.
