SUSAN......LA MUJER MAS GUAPA DEL MUNDO......LA MEJOR DE LAS ACTRICES........Y LA MAS SENSUAL DE LAS MUJERES...........LA ESTETICA y la inteligencia echa realidad ........arrebatadoraaaaaaaaaaa totallllllllll....dramatica como ninguna.............
I just finished watching this movie and brother, for this whole scene I had a tear in my eye. I'm not a big Susan Hayward fan but her affection for the troops was so beautiful. The scenes with Robert Wagner were also especially touching.
Many, MANY Thanks for sharing this with me. I love and miss Susan Hayward! I almost forgot how beautiful she was...thank you! (trying to swallow the lump in my throat)
This is tremendous; thank you for posting it. Every American should watch this and try to remember and reclaim what we've lost since our "Greatest Generation".
I noticed Susan Hayward is in this. I just bought some of her movies off of lovingtheclassics. If you are interested google it (lovingtheclassics) and you will find her actual movies and more.
With great respect, appreciation and admiration for Susan Hayward's magnificent performance in this, my all-time favorite film, I am moved -even more deeply- by the Froman voice and the Froman story. Let's keep their memories alive!
Miss Hayward was a great combination of sexy allure and great acting ability. A real Movie Star! Susan Hayward was nominated for this film and justly so. In all the great Susan received 5 nominations from her peers and won for her tour de force in I Want To Live where to my recollection she remains the only star to ever receive a curtain call after her acceptance speech; she was called back on stage to thunderous applause.
RIP to a great actress, a great beauty, a great star.
God bless you for this posting. A movie I will never forget. This part of the movie especially with all the wounded soldiers and I think of all our service men/women fighting for our country in the middle east right now. This is one of Hollywood's best movies, but I feel it is underrated, unfortunately. Thanks again.
As a 53 yr. old youngster, I recall seeing this movie 40 years ago. It has a major impact on my life: the reality of war, the commitment of the entertainment industry towards the war efforts, and the amazing inspiration and strength of Jane Froman and the skilled acting abilities of Susan Hayward. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing this special clip from a movie that has made a difference in my life.
They sure dont make movies like that anymore. You really felt as if you knew these actors, they really projected a warmth which you dont get anymore frm modern movies. Even the photography combined with the brilliance of the technicolor is outstanding. Each time you see it, it is like revisiting an old friend.
One of Susan Hayward's most memorable Movies....I don't know many of my generation that didn't see this Movie at the Theatre and again on TV probably several times....Susan was without question one of the greatest oldtime Movie STARS when the Studios had the "Star Making System" .....Bob, Palm Springs, Ca. USA
The film that turned me onto movie musicals, Susan Hayward, Jane Froman & a life long obsession with the mystery of "Ghost Singers" to the only billed Non-Ghost voice Gogi Grant in the Helen Morgan Story.
Sad 20th Century Fox wasn't as good at saving their music elements as MGM as there's such a wealth of material like this that won't ever be on cd. The record release lacked the energy of the tracks used in the film. This medley epecially suffers in the Capitol version.
No, THANK YOU for posting. If people knew how true this scene and most of the movie was and what Jane Froman went through to entertain the troops of WWII while by comparison there is next to nothing done by celebrities who are far from crippled and sickeningly blessed with so much for so little they'd not pay a nickel for a CD, DVD and especially a movie ticket.
No their too busy working on new tax shelters
In my 40s and these things make me feel like a cranky old man.
Jane Froman is incredible. . . . anyone not familiar with her voice is missing out!

I'm portuguese and I know very well the place, (Tagus River),where Jane Froman plane crashes.
I was born in 1958, but I appreciate very much these movies and I understand what you feel.
