  • USELESS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Cool video! I know nothing about hypnosis, but I'd love to learn. What do you mean when you say you asked him questions that contained 'trance words'?

I kinda know you have to get them to a certain tranced-out state ( I can even recognise when I'm in this state sometimes! e.g if I stare into a lake)

But, what can you say/are there specific words you can say to get someone into a trance?

    Very impressive!

    Hi riverojanuary07,

During my initial conversation with hime I asked questions about his long work day and how he felt after he got home, why he did then etc.

I determined 2 things from his reponses.

    1. His level of English

    2. How he responed to terms like relax, sleep and similar themes.

Hypnosis is like a F1 racing car. There's a lot of potential under the hood so take the time learn to do it ethically.

    Hi Boss7977,

  • subtitulen the conversation please

  • i think it works better if you tell him to imagine magnets on the palms of his hands instead of "imagine something pulling your hands together."

  • Salaam

    Hi Jakeyandhisbass,

I determined earlier that he did not understand the word magnet. So I used words and phrases that I thought would work with him.

  • oh. well then, good work

Hi Reez: Based on your questions, my sincere advice would be to make an investment to learn hypnosis properly. Beyond the pushing of hands down or other forms of inductions there is/are Ethics... Which absolutely should not be overlooked.

If you are above 18 (Perhaps older in Malaysia) you may be able to study with a certified trainer.

    All the best!

    Salaam

    Hi p1i2j3a4i5,

No, I am not Malaysian. In the "more info." section, I mentioned how his English understanding was calibrated.

The best way to find a good subject to hypnotise is to go out and "Just Do It!"

There are 27million+- wonderful people here to choose from.

    Salaam

  • i tried to do the arm drop method or the hand pressing down method but never succeed. pls give me a few tips.. also do you say the command sleep then remove tour hand or at the same time? where r u frm? thanx

  • Salaam

Hi Reez, If one technique does not work out with the subject move on to another technique.

A couple of things to remember:

    1. Expectation; expect the person to be hypnotised.

2.You should not do a technique and at the same time be someone watching someone being hypnotized. You should be in the moment with them.

The sleep command is pronounced/said at the same time you suddenly drop your hands.

You may want to do a verbal induction first followed by the arm drop. Salaam

  • can you please tell an example of verbal induction? tq so much =)

  • hye muneer.. i reez frm kl.. love the video.. how old is the boy? 16 or 15? jawab yer tq>>

  • Salaam

Hi Reez; I am not sure of his age, but he is out of school.

  • Oh, and btw, did you read Ant's book??

  • Walaikum Salaam.

Thanks for your comments. I was fortunate in this case/video to have my friend there to operate the camera phone. Usually, I do hypnosis at the spur of the moment; at the Mall, poolside, social function on a bus et cetera.

Still, I will try to come up with a way to video future encounters.

Yes, Ant's book is a really good buy!(Salaam/peace)

  • What is hypnosis? I have this crude understanding that it "controls" people. But something tells me it's not quite like that. Once some one has entered hypnosis how do they get out? And could they stay in hypnotized for ever?

  • Your inner voice is correct. No one can "control" you under hypnosis. Therefore; it is highly unlikely you would do something that is against your core beliefs.

After the hypnosis session is over;the hypnotist should bring the client out of hypnosis.

One would not stay hypnotized forever. Even if the hypnostist did not bring the subject out; s/he would come out of hypnosis naturally.

  • Cont.

When learning or doing hypnosis; always keep ethics in mind!

My first rule that I use in consulting:

"To thy client do no harm"

  • Oh ok, so it's just an indused sleep? (spelled that wrong probably)

  • It's not like the sleep one experiences during the middle of the night or day.

Under hypnosis one can still hear, communicate and respond.

What the hypnotist is doing is bypassing the critical factor in order to effect a positive change in the client.

There are several definitions of "hypnosis" on the web. Find the one that feels comfortable, resonates and clicks with you.

  • Ok, thanks. This all seems weird to me because up until a little while ago it just seemed like movie stuff. Since I haven't seen it first hand or experienced it it's all strange.

  • Salam Aleikum.

I liked that. I'm Waiting to see more from your work.

My advice to you is to do a powerful hypnotic phenomena in order to test your work better. you apparently put him in somnambulistic trace, but you ought to prove it. Do name amnesia, become invisible etc.

  • Muneer, nice job! I can hear that your patter is developing. You wrote me and asked for my input. Here it is:

--This video is an example of direct, overt hypnosis. Although you might not have told him he's being hypnotized, you're using overt methods (as opposed to indirect/covert/converstational)

--You're using fractionation well. Good job.

--Watch your volunteer closely; you could have established a medium to deep trance quite early at 00:50 (he was responding quite well to you).

  • Keep up the good work! I really like your patter. I think if you explore fractionation more and carefully watch your volunteer, you'll streamline your induction and make it quite faster and even more effective.

I'm looking forward to seeing more from you! Cheers.

  • Thank you for the encouragement KC; I greatly value your input and suggestions.

I look forward to participating in one of your future courses. Salaam!(peace)

  • I love it Muneer, Thanks for posting!

  • Thanks Nathan;I'm happy that you like it.
