  • Venerable Great Leader is most Pleased.

  • he plays very good because if he dosent he will be shot

  • They wear their uniforms 24/7 in case the U.S. decides to attack the concert...

  • Too much head bobbing and exaggerated emotions, but very good playing.

  • "if he messes up, press this red button"

  • คนไทยยกมือขึ้น

  • it´s strange, to become a musican in nordkorea you have to enter the army

  • @Zadamino Мдаааа.... Тупые американцы не догадываются о том, что в армии у людей может быть хобби и они могут участвовать в самодеятельности

  • @OloloStalin ne govori....tupii blya

  • great people Koreans!!!

  • he got executed after the performance because he made one half mistake.

  • id rather the government give 5 year olds guitars and force them to learn the works of classical composers as opposed to the government here where we... well... let 5 year olds watch hannah montana... and justin bieber...

  • @Guitarplaya668 Except the 'force' them to learn means if they don't they kill them and their families.

  • @Guitarplaya668

yeahh...as a parent I rather encourage my child to playing classical music all by my self.

  • Military music?

  • I hate to say it but he looks like Jackie chan

  • It starts with a slow part that could have been in a Final Fantasy game. But then...

  • Hope he was born in South Korea!

  • why aren't these North Korean instruments?

  • Better playing guitar than a gun !

  • the crowd is not impressed D:

  • Shit! soldiers everywhere in that country D:

  • sounds like final fantasy style music XD good shit :) good shit :)

  • amazing

  • A real moment of meaning and truth for someone bond in one on of the most ensnaring and deadly controlling regimes and cults of personalities in our history...his fingers might belong to the DPRK, but between the frets somewhere lies a few grains of freedom...right around 4:15

  • @sanspeurpipes There is not freedom of expression in the artists. One pianist who escaped the DPRK was caught playing 'capitalist' music and had to leave the country for fear of being killed. What ever he expresses is engineered. Its a country where the arts are used to paint the country in a positive light. One of their most famous actors is a US soldier who defected to the country.

  • I think a musician who puts a military uniform gives a message of aggressiveness, that it is not him but the North Korean army which is performing. Just to remind us they have enough nuclear missiles to blow up South Korea and the rest of the world. I don't think South Korea and the rest of the world is interested in this king of confrontation, but it is how they educate their children in North-Korea.

  • GREAT !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • How awful.....

I truly feel sorry for you.

You've lost the ability to enjoy music.

For you it's become political.......I'm so sorry for you.

  • @Bra23we12 You weren't replying to anyone. Might want to try again.

  • he play this song for her girlfriend live in south korea...

  • @aremieroll1990 no way, he plays for the great leader !

  • This is, really, something very good: the song tune is beautiful, but the guitarist is even better: —excellent!

Both players are a perfect match.

Thank you, DPRK soldiers, for showing us that, you care as much about entertaining people, as you care about defending your Country!

  • I give u the great concert halls of Jim Jong il Bitches stand and clap before u get nuked

  • Kill Jung Ill Kim ! . He is a devil !.

  • it sounds beautiful... i dont care from which country this is, i simply enjoy good music

  • there's something eerily deep about this.

  • they have roland in north korea? ? ? WHAT?

  • is this a son of kimirsen?

  • are anyone in north korea use that suit?? even in performance?

  • I'm surprised that they are allowed to play guitars... specially lovely songs... U NO PLAY, U KILL

  • in n korea guitar plays you

  • It would suck if you fuck up then....... *cough*execution*cough*

  • In North Korea people also know how to play guitar :)

  • Oh, I get it! They give the five year olds adult sized guitars and the adults...yeah! Brilliant!

  • @patrickcon1 do you know anything about guitars?

  • @patrickcon1 Its North Korea haha

  • @patrickcon1 its not a five year old guitar, bigger and smaller guitars make a very different noise!

  • @patrickcon1 fuckin' LOL

  • He play very well but the music is not very good.

  • @MrGuitarcat agree

  • @MrGuitarcat I am not sure what you mean about the music. I feel that he played with great passion and shows the world that N Korea is not full of Jim Jongs and I am sure one day we will be friends and at peace. Votre jeu est également très bon

  • @RyersonRobert I don't know what thinking about a soldier who play music. Is it for peace ?

  • @MrGuitarcat Well it is not for war is it. I thought that people play notes not because they in themselves have a meaning but that music in general implies a meaning, otherwise you could not play in such a compassionate way. Therefor if this soldier can play in a compassionate way one would hope that he can be the same towards other people given the chance. Too many negative comments are thrown at the people of N Korea and we in fact know very little.

  • @RyersonRobert I'm agree with you. In one hand, this man play music because he feel a passion for it. In a second hand, music (independently of the musician ) he play a music for a cause. I don't know if it's music is the tool of propaganda. I'm french and the story of my land recall how a music can serve a political system. French national anthem is an exemple, and musicians in the Napoleonians war campaigns an other. So, i doubt always when i see military music.

  • @MrGuitarcat He is so technical...No HEART though. In everything you do there should be a spirit ...a heart for it is that convey the feelings. But one who has no love or haven't experienced love will not be able to show it. He is very atteactive.. What a waste of talent to be under a tyrannical regime.

  • what is the name of this song

  • @MrGuitarcat it's classic in term of korean classic song...

  • @MrGuitarcat I disagree... The music is quite beautiful actually!

  • I would play good music like that too if I lived in the same shitty ass country.

  • is he wearing paul stanleys left boot?

  • So what is the intention of this video? We are seeing enough violence in OUR movies, OUR TVs, OUR internet, and in the games that OUR kids are playing...This is a great breather. Enjoy!

  • Don't be fooled. This is just bread to throw to the people there.

The place is ruled by a strict dictatorship and they probably live in a deep shit, as everybody knows communism only works for the ruling minor fraction os the population.

As beautiful the song and/or the performance might be, be aware of the intention and what's behind it.

  • @castello669 LOL..

no wonder germans hate brazil so much !!

  • fantastic!

  • Whew!

  • que chino tan ridículo, como suben eso...que feo, que grotesco..

  • @MIXTURO22 No sabes leer pendejo? Dice NORTH KOREAN! No CHINO!!!!!! Estupido, you failed at Geografia!

  • @MIXTURO22

Es no chino. El es Coreano. Tonto!

  • Thanks for seconding my novice understanding of music.. Haven't the foggiest idea of what the guy's rank is, looks like an officer level, but looks can be deceiving. 'Cause of your comment, I'm almost forced to enjoy third time, but still enjoying it, refreshing.

  • Wow~ second time is even better to listen. Harmonics combination, percussion, tremolo, etc. genuinely enjoying his music.. My applause on his performance.

  • @Goldenbell001 I second that - whats this guy's rank though?

  • Music speaks universial language!
