Many people don't believe that Goths can be Christian. Of course they can! In fact, I am one of them. It is actually really fun to educate other Christians about the Gothic subculture and how it isn't an opposition against God. There are many Goths who are Wiccans, Sadists, or just Atheists, but there is also a large number of Goths that are either Christian or Catholic as well. The subculture you partake in does not determine the religion you choose.

I hate it when people diss Goth in general. And people have this weird cliche view of it that its all black lipstick, cutting yourself and suicide. That's NOT true. Goth is not ALL glamourized suffering. It can interperted in many ways and can be quite pleasent if you let it be. This is Emilie Autumn's interpertation of it and look she has pink hair, wears white combat boots and is inspired by shakespearean literature. So fuck that.

@DaniReyes8 Actually, if you read EA's book, she is very goth and celebrates it. I personally consider myself goth and dress similarly to EA, complete with Victorian clothing, steampunk accents, and lack of black lipstick. :)

Sort of like how a five year old can draw a realistic picture of her and her mother, but it really just be a scribble. If aiming for realism, its a bad drawing, unarguably, but Im sure it means the world to the mother and the daughter, and thats the art of it. The question of Is it good art? can just be rephrased as Do you like it? or How do you feel about it?
I also believe that good music is music that shows strong technical proficiency. So I believe that "good" music isn't an opinion and liking good music shows good taste. However, good art is a complete opinion. This is because art is purely the ideas and feelings we get behind the music, and since those individual things vary for everyone, it makes good art subjective.
Also, you can't just "classify" her fans. I am a huge fan of Autumn, but I can agree that some of her fans are total are sheep, just like any group, club or subculture has sheep, and some of them are annoying. But that doesn't make all her fans that way.
As much as I love her, some of the fans are slowly defaming her unintentionally (same goes for every musician). By havng a weird and unhealthy obsession with a musician it desecrates the person they're worshipping with their annoying fandom (Peter Steele of Type O Negative strongly believes this) and they're only insulting themselves as a fan by taking the music far too seriously.
I love the music I listen to but people who dedicate their lives to bands with shrines and tattoos need to shush.

I understand where you're coming from, but I still agree with LttlDutchGirl.
People, especially women I've noticed, tend to seem to be mean and cruel when they've been through a lot. Even myself, a lot of people tell me that I'm very stand-offish. Lots of people are actually afraid of me until they get to know me.
But, if you watch the most recent interview, she does seem a lot more calmer. :D

She's just a though person because she had to deal with lots of stuff when growing up. I dont blaim her, not everyone loves everything so much. Some people are also living in a bubble, why not hate those also? She speaks her mind, doesn't care what others think and to many she speaks the truth that no one else dares to speak. She's not cruel, nor mean. She just doesnt care about certain things and she brings her opinion in a harder way than most people do.

Also, just like me, why should she keep those unharmed little souls from the harshness of the world? I know some ignorant people that are that way just because of the fact that they only have been babied, cannot do shit for themselves, cannot understand feeling from other (nor care) and live in a bubble. If aiming for realism, its a bad drawing, unarguably, but Im sure it means the world to the mother and the daughter, and thats the art of it. The question of Is it good art? can just be rephrased as Do you like it? or How do you feel about it?

I also believe that good music is music that shows strong technical proficiency. So I believe that "good" music isn't an opinion and liking good music shows good taste. However, good art is a complete opinion. This is because art is purely the ideas and feelings we get behind the music, and since those individual things vary for everyone, it makes good art subjective.

As much as I love her, some of the fans are slowly defaming her unintentionally (same goes for every musician). By havng a weird and unhealthy obsession with a musician it desecrates the person they're worshipping with their annoying fandom (Peter Steele of Type O Negative strongly believes this) and they're only insulting themselves as a fan by taking the music far too seriously.
I love the music I listen to but people who dedicate their lives to bands with shrines and tattoos need to shush.
