  • This is stupid

  • Great job on the video. Loved watching it!

  • wow...just wow so epic. wish i was there to comfort Lucifer when he was cast out of heaven like that

  • if somebody know where i can download the film "paradise lost" by John Milton ...Please write me e-mail kari_dineva@abv.bg

  • @karidineva the movie for paradise lost isn't out yet. I hear rumors on the internet the movie is coming out sometime in 2013

  • The pictures of Gustave Dorè are amazing!

  • The poets motives for the poem are stil hotly contested, but most widely accept that he was portraying a god who is not all good and a satan who is not all evil

  • @Babs44sun Er...really? That's certainly not the impression the poem gives me.

  • @Stardweller1 well, if you are alluding to the interpretation of the traditonal god good and satan evil, i think personally its a lot more complex than that.

  • @Babs44sun Well, yeah, it wasn't exactly all-around simple, but Satan still struck me very much as the bad guy, or at least the antagonist. Milton was at least clear that he wasn't "good."

  • @Stardweller1 Many argue that Milton set out to condemn Lucifer/Satan (depending on whether you refer to him by his pre- or postlapsarian state), but was enthralled and captured by the tragic heroism of the character. You can't help but see that Lucifer is portrayed as conflicted, but at the same time resolute, and both needlessly arrogant as well as righteously proud.

  • Amazing story . One of my favorite old literatures.

  • haha.. in the description it says Featuring original music by Matt Peterson (solo piano, from "The Paradise Suite"; available at iTunes store). Also featuring music by Craig Armstrong ("Escape") and John Debney (from "The Passion Of The Christ" soundtrack)

    :p

  • epic orchestral! :p

  • what type or genre of music would this be placed under?

  • @YoseMiteEmery Thrash Goth Schlok Rumplety Chilled House Deth Metal

  • @YoseMiteEmery epic

  • @mrsinister03 lol... awesome!

    but really, any idea? lol

  • @YoseMiteEmery Orchestral?

  • My AP English Lit. class is reading the entirety of Paradise Lost, and I have just fallen in love with. It is such a masterpiece. This video complements the text so well. The use of artwork and music is so appropriate. I love how part II even goes beyond into Paradise Regained and the actual Crucifixion story. Great work, major props :D

  • @tylerofdenmark you red this in class? wouldn't that kind of fall under the category of church in school? idk it kind of is, and it kind of isnt

  • @17rockiesrule Yeah we did. Because Milton puts his personal spin on everything, it is still considered a work of "fiction." Being a Christian myself, it made the experience even better. As long as the teachers aren't preaching in class, it's legal! lol

  • @17rockiesrule not church in school. Its not like they are preaching it . its an English epic poem, but that's just one genre in literature.

  • @17rockiesrule this is one of the greatest works ever written, it belongs in school. ave satana

  • I would love to show this to my class. Is there a download link?!

  • To all on earth born by the very truth of lucifer, unite and join arms for the wrath that cometh be not that of the heavens but of us left in the land of the very third cast down, be it a salute to my brethren see you in the fields of war and may we rejoice and reclaim for all eternity that which is rightfuly ours.

  • @G5ive1 The Dragon lives to be cast down again with the beasts and the remainder of his host by the Almighty and his Heavenly Host. Damned are those that follow in the footsteps of the Serpent and his ilk. Their time of salvation has come to an end. Though they live to play the didactic counterpart to the children of God, they serve no other purpose but to be cast aside or destroyed by the Righteous and His hand. may God have mercy on you all; whatever that is left to be deserved...

  • @Gu1tarGuy18 Learn! We are all energy good and bad alike. Fact energy cannot be created nor destroyed, we have already been cast down to rock and brimstone (Earth) in its earlier form you are the trespasser for your claim is to return to the highest, yet you should wonder why do you scwandle and dwell amongst those cast down maybe you to have been cast down and are a living testament of such punishment!! The difference is your desire to submit and gain redemption as to our exceptance of reality

  • THIS is the best way to read epics!

  • Long is the way And hard, that out of Hell leads up to light...

  • To the maker(of the video, not God),

first of all congratulations on two fantastic pieces of work.

Secondly, what programme did you use to create tese wonderful videos?

    Regards,

    John

  • its so wierd how paintings like that from the rennaisance are so disturbing

  • Amazing...my class had to read parts of Paradise Lost and my professor suggested us to watch your video...I totally love it! Beautiful!

  • Can't believe there's no audio. The background music was the best. What's the name of the piece? It suits the video perfectly.

  • @yokokanno25 Escape by Craig Armstrong

  • What was the audio?

  • I like the music who's the composer. and where did you get the pictures from are they in the book

  • It depends on what kind of book you have, some of the portraits won't be in there. But if you want only the pictures, there's a book for it; it's called Dore's Illustrations for "Paradise Lost" by Gustave Dore

  • Fantastic!

  • I would like to know who made this music too

  • What is the name of the music being played? Who was it composed by?

  • Thank you for this post, its a real masterpiece!

  • what music is this? great video, goes perfectly with the music.

  • WOW!! A perfect mix of verses music and pictures john milton would be proud

  • Fantastic work. And you included some of my favourite verses:

    Him the Almighty Power

Hurled headlong flaming from th'ethereal sky

With hideous ruin and combustion down To bottomless perdition

  • This, coupled with Part II, constitutes a powerful and moving piece of work. Who'd have thought one could do justice to Milton's masterpiece in just 12 minutes!
