I for one have a lot of chips riding on you, John, as you go against the flow of the music industry. Understand that your genuineness is your strength - for good and ill. For good, in that it makes you impervious to a lot of the temptations of other artists in the limelight. For ill, in that genuineness will be a temptation for you to shirk off real issues (in this case, doing patient theology with the Church rather than appealing to the purity of your emotion). Peace to you and tBI.com
Excellent questions, and John is a very transparent guy. I love his words on the art of his music and the theology in it. And you can never please everyone and why would you want to anyway?
