this whole thing was done in 3D Max. I used the camera match (which is a pain in the butt...) I use outside software for camera matching now. But for the reflection on the table, you have to make a "matte/shadow" material and apply it to the surface so shadows, reflections, etc will show, but the object itself is invisible.

what did you use for compositing? Afer effects? And how did you make that reflection on the table :)
