  • Wonderfull music !

  • Che palle

  • By the way, you can always check out triple_w zarah-leander_dot de for more info. Enjoy!

  • You are welcome, indeed, she is most famous for her songs from that era, however she recorded some great songs later in life like 'Einmal kommt die Liebe' or 'Ein Mann für mich - The man I love'. She still gave a lot of concerts in Germany and other countries, in my country, Belgium, she remained very popular and her songs are still played. Also her post war films were also released over here.

  • Thnaks for posting this song, however Zarah Leander starred in Axel an der Himmelstür in Vienna and never in Berlin, since her partner in the operetta was Max Hansen, a jewish actor and therefore banned in Germany. Zarah left Berlin after her last film "Damals" was completed and oly came back for its premiere in March 1943.

  • Still, even on a big stage it would very well have been possible to render a more sensitive interpretation, which she sadly doesn't.

  • Just as I thought, this has more grandeur (an aspect impressive in this version), yet I prefer Ordonówna's more intimate tenderness in the video you've just posted.
