just saw this movie today. This was one of the weirdest scenes I've ever layed eyes upon. It was tragic yet beautiful. It looked like a sex scene, but they were tearing each other apart. However if we look at the variables here, such a the dream sequence, the fatal head injury, and the fact that his best friend paid off his organ bills, I would think that the ending wasn't so bad, if anything it was good because 1, he did NOT die (most important) and 2, he is able to live out the rest of his life happy.
