  • @wilt778 We agree

  • very clear, easy step by step guide. thanks for the video

  • @pdaparts isn't the iphone 4 and touch 4 's LCD and digitizer fused together too

  • @CASmemberSIXpents Yes and Yes

  • Wow he basically took the whole iPhone apart. Anyways last year I dropped my iPhone 2G and the screen stoped working it didn't crack but the top apps froze so I was forced to buy a new screen and the guy at the phone store fixed it and I was happy but it cost me $150 and that was alot

  • @Hassboy1990 Hence why you should have ordered the part from DirectFix com and repaired it yourself and saved a lot of money.

  • Let's see u put it back together

  • @treytrey12three No problem. we already did put it back together back in 2007 when we did the video. in fact the unit is still on my desk and works perfect.

  • how in the world does a digitizer break?

  • @game2heart Drop the phone of the ground or put it in your back pocket.. forget and sit down on it etc etc...

  • hi there, I think there are three components to be taken into account,

    1. The glass

    2. Digitizer

    3. LCD,

I have the glass and digitizer replacement glued together already, is it possible to replace just 1 & 2, looks like my LCD is just fine ? what do you think?

  • @Wadigzon First the Glass and Digitizer are the same part. Then there is the LCD. The LCD and Digitizer/Glass are all fused together at the factory and can not be replaced separately. You have to replace the complete screen even if you only broke 1 of those 2 parts. Goto DirectFix com and look at IP-2085

  • @pdaparts thanks for replying dude .. that's indeed valuable info.

  • cheers

  • lol after u removed the frame it looked like an iphone 4

  • @levygonz that gives me an idea.

  • @Mauro4life It is a FREE video just follow the steps in reverse.

  • I bought Lcd and Digitizer seperatley is there a way to put them together? glue or something? :(

  • @dreadspark On the iPhone 2G it is close to impossible to separate or put together the glass and the lcd so you must purchase the complete screen. Take a look at IP-2085 at DirectFix com. We never sell just the touch panel or just the lcd for the iPhone 2G.

  • ok when you pry off the antenna cabel do you glue it back on soilder ????

  • @DisturbedThePast Just hot glue it back on.

  • thanks for posting, I don't wanna open mine but was always interested wht is it like the inside of the phone.

  • Omg iPhone 3G and 3GS are sooo much easier to repair :/

  • crap i bought a 3g digitizer instead of the 2g, is there any major significance?

  • @SebastianG13 YES. The 3G will not work in the 2G unit and the 2G will not work in the 3G unit.

  • is this similar difficulty to the iphone 3g?, and also is the digitizer included in a new complete screen?

  • @KcKreicar No the iPhone 3G is easier to repair. Yes when you purchase the complete screen from DirectFix com we include the LCD and Touch Panel together. Look at part number IP-2085

  • this is weird to watch because it almost seems like old tech. compared to the iphone 4 tear down. haha

  • ok and now put it back together again!!!!

  • @blorchdude4 Take a look at DirectFix com and search part number XX1521

  • what glue do you recommend to use?

  • @mike82y If you are referring to to the white antenna cable you can use a dab of hot glue to hold it down or in place.

  • umm at the end you didnt take the glass from the lcd do you have a tutorial for that or can you tell me hoe to do it

  • @SlickKidDownDaBlock You are correct because on the iPhone 2G it is close to impossible to separate the glass from the lcd.

  • Thank you so much. I've just finish opening my Iphone and I take off my broken LCD and I'm gonna buy new one. Thank you again :D .
