The car has a 6 PSI POWERDYNE supercharger. It is mounted right in front of the water pump on the LT1. It is belt driven, not gear driven so it has no whine and it also requires no oil from the engine to flow through it.

@darkendless3 That depends what your looking for. A turbo charger will give your car more horsepower but takes a while to kick in because it is driven by the exhaust gases from your car.. A supercharger sounds nicer and begins to work as soon as you start the car because it is belt driven. personally i would get the supercharger.

if you replace the opti spark system early on or are one of the few lucky ones to not have a failing unit, on average they can easily pull between 250,000-300,000miles as my dads 96 impala now has 331,000 miles and nothing has been rebuilt yet, fingers crossed haha

The Supercharger is in the gasoline tank, It forces the gas into the engine at about 6 PSI.

In this car the supercharger can "win" about 100 more horsepower. It all depends on how high the boost is. The boost in this car was about 5 PSI. I could not make more boost because i did not have a inter cooler and the compression ratio is 10.5 to 1.

I now have a Jaguar Vanden Plas. I needed a 4 door car for work. The Jaguar has a 300 HP DOHC 4.0 Liter all aluminum engine with variable valve timing and 10.75 to 1 compression ratio. It has a 5 speed automatic. The only negative is it weights over 4,000 LBS. It has tons of real wood and leather inside, even sheep's wool floor mats and power everything. I really love my Jaguar. I will make a video soon and post it on youtube.

Well, the Car was supercharged when i bought it. the supercharger can be installed with the engine in the car. However it does require fabrication to the engine bay. The fans for the radiator need to be cut down and the air pump needs needs to be moved. The supercharger in this car was professionally installed.

Have you had this on a dyno? I just bought a 94 z28 with a powerdyne supercharger, headers, exhaust, chip, granatelli mass air flow sensor, fuel pump, and regulator...i havent dynoes mine yet...only downfall-its an auto :( ill be fixing that here in the next few months, along with an engine swap, and either a procharger, or vortech s/c :) anyways, get back to me!
