Generally, Ganns work was to do with cycles in the market. Gann studied many charts that went back centuries working out which cycles were important (eg. The year of ascension). Another example is the 1x1 squaring of time and price. It was a combination of these tools and his knowledge of cycles that he was able to predict market activity as accurately as he did.
