In effect, Carter partially "nationalized" private businesses (in this case, banks) and turned them into public charities MANDATED to provide for the "needs" of poor. (Huh? Where the hell did Jimmy & Co. get the authority to seize private property?)

We didn't complain because we didn't care about "greedy bankers."
