  • What's Compressor? Never heard of it. I use Vegas.

  • @GanEdenAustralia It's the first thing that comes up when you google it...

  • @ctkfilms Still never heard of it.

  • @GanEdenAustralia Compressor is a component of Final Cut Studio. Since you're using Vegas, I assume you're on a Windows machine. Final Cut Studio is Mac only. Sorry!

  • I dont know much about these but when you say 29.97i do you mean 60i ? Can I use this method to convert 29.97p to 24p ?

  • @MrCrgl Yes, 60i doesn't mean 60 FPS, it actually means 60 fields per second, or 29.97 interlaced frames. I think you meant to ask whether you can use this to convert 60i to 24p—no, you can't. This is only for footage that was shot at 24P but had extra frames added to it so that it would fit onto 60i media such as DV tape.

  • @ctkfilms I recorded 60i on Atomos straight out of the Canon 5D, and reverse telecine brings it back down to 24p

  • Thanks for this easy, straightforward tutorial! This is the best.
