  • Those are more future in laws! The best parents i have EVER met. 4 beautiful children. The happiest, most perfect family you would ever meet. I hope that when me and Nunny move into this phase in our lives we will be half the parents they are.

  • Thank you so much for sharing this. I'm at 37 weeks and looking for inspiration for a natural birth and sat in tears and joy watching your story. Love the verse and song you included! Thanks for sharing it!!

  • What an amazing story. I have just sat in tears watching this. Well done and congratulations for getting the birth you wanted and a health baby boy xx

  • very beautifull story!! God Bless U all........ God is good!!

  • SEI UNA GRANDE!!!!! Anche io dopo 2 cesarei ho fatto il mio meraviglioso parto naturale...Complimenti

  • Love to revisit your story and your triumph whenever I am waiting on a VBAC mama to birth --- this is my muli-media affirmation!!!

  • wow! what a story and testament! Thank you for sharing, and encouraging other moms that God designed their bodies to be able to do this!

  • I'm hoping/praying to have a VBA3C I'm so glad I found this. How did you find a midwife that would do this? that's my problem right now :-(

  • hey, i don't believe in god at all and i had two beautiful homebirths; one unassisted and no hospital births. i don't tink god has anything to do with it. women's bodies, if not interfered with, KNOW how to birth.

  • I am attempting to VBAC after 3, and wanted to tell you thank you for your inspiration. For letting me know that it can be done... All 3 of my sections were unnecessary and I still am working through the grief process. Again, thank you for posting this! I am sure your road was not easy...

  • I am trying again to VBAC...after 3. Thank you for the inspiration. I'm having to travel four hours to find someone to care for me, no one in my area will because of the "risk" of uterine rupture. Thank you very much for showing me it can be done...even after 3 sections all unnecessary!

  • Your little Aidan is just 4 days younger than my home waterbirth girl! Thank you for sharing your story.

  • what more can i say, well done and congratulations. you believed in yourself. it is something we take for granted being able to give birth and now you have been able to experience it. i am from Australia and it amazes me how the hospital system works in the USA, it seams to have so many faults, im glad i had my daughter the birthing centre at my local hospital. Congrats and Well Done :-)

  • Awesome!

  • I am a midwifery student and doula. What an inspiring documentary of your journey to homebirth and to having a VBA3C! Can I post it to my blog, Witnessing Birth? Many blessings!!

  • Sure, I would be honored.

  • @jamilarabie Have you gotten in touch with your local I-CAN (International Cesarean Awareness Network) group? Check out ican-online *dot* org. They have a lot of good information. Click on "Find a Local Support Group." If you can make it to a meeting in your area, you will meet other mamas who have had cesareans, many of them have also had a VBAC.

  • this is a amazing story, i have just found out i am pregnant with #4 i have had 3 c sections prior to this preg, the last c sect was the only one i can deem as nessacery... i am hoping to have a result as thrilling and empowering as your own.

  • wow, for some reason, your experience has really hit me. Im training to be a doula and watch these all the time and cry, but this has hit something deeper for me. You have amazing strength, im over weight and having a hard time facing it, i want to be as healthy as i can for when i get pregnant. From now on when i just want to blow the issue off im goin remember you and your amazing story. Im going to rock a home birth!! Thank you so much for the inspiration!

  • I just birthed our 6th child unassisted on 3/30. He was our biggest yet at 10#5oz, 23 inches with a 15" head. I just wanted to let you know that you/this video was a WONDERFUL inspiration for me because I had labored with my first 3 for MANY hours (the #2 and #3 homebirth transfers) and I always felt I could do this. And I DID! I am on cloud 9! UBA5C! Thank you for following your heart and helping to inspire women like me! You are truly a gift from God sent straight to me...

  • Wow!!! Congratulations to you!!! What a wonderful testament to strength and perseverence. Enjoy that sweet baby & the sweet victory of a HBAC!! :)

  • wow amazing hammondf. great job what a inspriation

  • I have this on my MySpace page, I am a childbirth educator, a birth doula and even worked extensively with the International Cesarean Awareness Network here in Denver for a while... but EVERY TIME I watch this I bawl. I sob for the mamas who were not empowered. I sob for the mamas who were. I am sob for those who will never understand.

  • Wow, as someone who has had two failed inductions which both led to c-sections (duh, I know now how stupid that sounds)...your video is so inspiring. It IS possible to have labored twice, and ended up with c-sections and STILL get a VBAC. Congratulations, I'm sure that VBAC experience is still a high point in your life. I'm so inspired by your persistence and strength, Thank you for sharing.

  • What a beautiful message you have to bring to this world. Your video brought me to tears and moves me to continue living my passion. Thank you for sharing your story.

  • wow... congrats to you! What is this song in the background? who sings it?

  • Why I am not sure why someone suggested I watch this? I became intrigued with the portion about your physical transformation through running. I am an avid runner and turn to it often when struggling with issues. I feel its a natural talent from God. I would love to do a triathlon, but am focusing on a half marathon first. Loved the song God bless.

  • That's amazing what you did! from the 3 births, to getting fit, and then trying again, succeeding in a successful home birth!

  • I am so very proud of you! What an amazing story.

  • Your son and my daughter are close in age! I had my daughter (my first child by an unexpected UC at home) on April 2,2007! Isn't homebirth awesome!

  • You make me proud to be a woman! I am glad you got your homebirth. There is nothing like it in the world!
