Guys how do you get the sound from the second tap harmonic? I slide to the 7th fret on the g-string then tap on the 14th fret of the g-string but when i slide onto the 9th fret and do the second tap on the 14th fret, i don't get the second sound off of that tap!!!

What am i doing wrong?

don't tap the 16th fret, like LewieBonnerMusic says. It will give you an easier, but different harmonic. You want the sound from an octave above your 9th fret. So you should tap 5 frets up from your 9th fret => 14th fret. So I think you're doing it right. Just keep trying!

In the very first part of the solo is the whammy bar pulled down first and then the G note picked or is the note picked first and then the whammy bar is pulled down?

@antdoguitar Push lightly on the back of the neck while holding the body and bending the note at the same time.. don't bend the neck all super far tho lol... Randy Rhodes does this in the intro to crazy train... you can clearly see him do it in the live video.

The fact you are asking what settings to put your amp on is enough for us to tell you to go practice and learn more before you attempt this. Not only do you need to learn technique, you also will need to develop your ear and learn about how to set up your amp. It's not his responsibility to teach you, this lesson is just for the solo.

For those tap harmonics, you hold seventh fret on the G string, tap the G string right above the fret wire at the 14th fret, then slide your fretting finger up to nine, and tap at the 14th fret again. Tap harmonics are usually at the octaves of notes, but you can do them almost anywhere with practice. Fairly high gain helps too.
