This is the same thing with tinyumbrella, why use another program if you already saved all your SHSH to tinyumbrella?

I updated my iphone 4 to 5.0.1 (preserved 159 BB), I did not like it because of the TETHERED JAILBREAK that's why I downgraded it back to 4.3.3 using tinyumbrella, I have my SHSH saved to tinyumbrella from 4.3.1 to 4.3.5.

i was able to dump the SHSH blobs and build the IPSW from my ipod touch 4g running 4.3.3.i'm trying to downgrade another device running 4.3.5,using the IPSW created i was able to restore it to 4.3.3,but when the message about "new device restarting etc" pops up,itunes detected my device as a device still in recovery mode again.did i do something wrong along the way?also,i couldnt get my device out of pwned DFU mode.help please!

@bzilliox cause in ios5 and on apple doesn't sign ssh files or something like that to were we can downgrade firmware in the future. So be sure to save it!!! Or NO possible way to downgrade for jailbreaks.

I tried using iFaith but an error appeared saying the firmware could not be recognized so I had to close the program, leaving my iPod stuck in Recovery Mode. Luckily I had TinyUmbrella, which let me exit Recovery Mode.

@22andrey22 If you upgrade to a newer software (when one is released) and you don't like it (for some reason) or you want a jailbreak but there is no jailbreak released for this software then you have to downgrade. You wouldn't be able to do that without those SHSH Blops because Apple wouldn't let you do that.

That's pretty much the only thing you need them for (Downgrading).

he dosent tell you how to get out of DFU mode , if your ipod wont turn back on just , redo what you do for the jailbreak process , dont rerun the jailbreak process just simple unplug your idevice , and hold the power for 3 and home and power for 10 as soon as the apple logo pops up just let go of the buttons and it should reboot fine..

say that you upgrade to a firmware because of restore (unless u used greenpois0n). ur itouch/iphone/ipad is upgraded to the newest firmware which might not be jailbreakable. if u save ur shsh blobs u can easily downgrade to ur previous firmware. dont ask me how to do it idk how and it really doesnt apply to me cuz i have a 2nd gen itouch and the max firmware u can go up to is 4.2.1 which i am on right now.

@kira1289 Tiny umbrella will ONLY backup SHSH files that Apple is currently signing (which is 4.3.3) and not for the specific firmware your iDevice is currently on (like iFaith)
