As incredible as all the aerials and other athletic stuff in this video is, my favorite moment is at 2:01-2:02, where Annie is leaning and Max spins from under her. So inventive! Awesome!
Studying kinetics - sounds not special but Annie makes it more than just the science of motion! It is unbelievable what the human body is capable of if you know how to do stuff efficiently. Speechless ...
actually i haven't seen that much of "lindy hop" but i've been to the rock'n'roll world-championships (if that's what they are/were called) in karlsruhe (2010) which was way less impressing than anything i've seen so far from lindy hop - and especially from max and annie!!!!
amazing dancing. Great track too but the fletcher henderson version i keep finding everywhere is a bit faster and not quite the same. is this one a rare version?
@boarkneeo This version is from 1945. Most of the versions you are finding are probably from the 30s. I believe you can find this version on an import label called Chronological Classics. A lot of their titles are hard to find or are out of print.

Magnifique! Saw this live and loved it, but didn't quite realize the cool trick they were doing starting at 1:09 where Annie leans back and Max catches her on his upper leg and steps around, catching her again with his calf (and then they repeat it). That is amazing. These guys have mad skills combined with panache, elegance and style. Absolutely dazzling to watch.
@freddiekarlbom I am not sure which part you are refering to (eventhough you were pretty clear on the timing). if it's the part where i lean on max, then he turns and catch me again, this move was inspired by a tango trick the argentinian ricky and soledad showed us, if not, i am not sure but Skye and Frida are definitely amongst the dancers that we admire a lot and we respect so there is definitely some inspiration coming from them!
@annieswing I was thinking about the quick turns (he goes, she goes) from side to side position as a nod to their routine from ULHS 2007 (Twenty Four Robber) where they at about 2:05 have similar (though she goes, he goes) quick turns from side by side charleston. Anyways, fantastic routine and execution.
@annieswing : I think its an improvement of a great champion to talk in such a respectable way about an impressive competitor like Frida Segerdahl. Respect.
Although I`m a great fan of Frida, i think what you have shown in the liberation finals was great and you are on the best way to be one of the best social dancers in the world .I`m impressed , congratulations.
Awesome! Triple Awesome! They made a spectacular perfomance! Not just a dance...but with an IDEA! That is not ofthen in competitions like that. I loooove it!
really cool!
