My husband is a relative of Joseph Smith. My husband is one of the most kind, doctors, men I've ever met, treats me like a queen and I am very lucky. I have seen the original journals of Joseph Smith and family members. Joseph Smith is a man of God, Prophet, and sealed his testimony with his life that God Lives and Jesus is the Christ. I am so grateful for Joseph Smith and I absolutely love this hymn. It reminds me of all the things that he had to endure in his lifetime to help bring the fullness of the gospel. What matters is the I have studied the Mormon church (or Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints as some perfer), I understand that much of what people accuse the church is due to misinformation, bias, and the unwillingness to look at the time period and the situation at hand.
For example, a practical reason for polygamy was because there was many women of the church that did not have a man to take care of them, thus more well to do men marrying them.

Like God told David, he had given him wives a plenty, so why did he take the one that he had not given him. What matters is the I have studied the Mormon church (or Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints as some perfer), I understand that much of what people accuse the church is due to misinformation, bias, and the unwillingness to look at the time period and the situation at hand.
For example, a practical reason for polygamy was because there was many women of the church that did not have a man to take care of them, thus more well to do men marrying them.

No one can take my testimony away of Joseph Smith. The more you study the principles of the gospel of jesus christ the more you know it is true. I am soon to be baptised and also my husband . The gospel has blessed me so far, that is why I know God is real.The more I have tried live a commandment, the more I personally see there are no coincidences. For once I am actually happy in my life. My marriage is so much better now too. It is good for me, so I feel to tell people it makes me happy.

Pause at 0:06. What I don't like is how people take D&C 135:3 out of context. They say that says Joseph Smith did more than Christ. It says the exact opposite. we'll ive learned, that the lds church doesnt hold the monopoly of truth, the lds cant say another church is wrong if u read and do wat is says in the bible correctly. But u cant say the lds is wrong becuz they follow the textbook also. When we learn to not judge, then we know wats right and wrong
