The thing is, comic market today is so is small that there is just not place for big ideas, it is just hard enough to keep old characters and universe going on so big ideas take secondary place, and since the industry never grows in number of readers, big ideas appear so very rarely, take a look at Vertigo Comics, they are just about big ideas but the majority of new books end up being canceled, so there you go,as long as there are so few readers big idea comics will remain a minority.

I enjoy the show a lot. In production quality, it's the best comics show on Youtube. And you three guys are great.

One bit of constructive criticism,tendered w/ good will & great respect:Please quit interrupting & talking over each other so much. It really detracts from the overall experience.Just my 2 cents.

As for the "Big Idea" discussion,I don't thing the ongoing monthly mainstream superhero books are necessarily the best place. Books w/out pics are good for that, though.

I know I'm probably NOT the first person to say this, but Pete looks a lot like Jason Bateman.

I think Warren Ellis does 'big ideas' well (the term is a bit too general anyway so I take it you mean specifically high-concept stuff) cos he imposes strict formal limitations upon himself: like the grid-panels of Fell, for example. It's easy to get pretentious with big ideas so they need to be handled with care and discipline, no matter what the format is.
