It was a damn good thought provocating lecture....I could not agree much about 'testing is commoditised',the same applies for development...Another statement by James I could not agree much was 'testing is now shifting towards users and developers'.If by chance you are related to google plus, you are absolutely right..LOL..All the bugs were raised by the user only, and developers doing nothing but fixing the end user's bug....I am sure your unit test coverage was >95% while releasing it

Having got to the end, I'll rephrase that bad testing is dead, replaced by various forms of cheaper bad testing (automated and/or crowdsourced/outsourced). Bad testing is what's commoditised.
