  • Marty is and will alway's be classic for me ! To whom made the recommendation ! Thanks !:)

  • Ricky Nelson's version is excellent as well.

  • nolarae WHAT HIS BEAUTIFUL VOICE,GOD GIVEN TALENT. HE COULD SING ANY TYPE OF SONG.IF ONE EVER DOUBTS THERE IS AN ALMIGHTY GOD,THINK OF THE DIFFERENT VOICES [SOME ARE WONDERFUL SINGERS]NOT ME,CAN'T CARRY A NOTE] WHO ELSE CAN MAKE A VOICE LIKE THIS,JUST THE LORD. THANKS FOR POSTING,SO THE REST CAN ENJOY.

  • @nolarae1929 Well said. The best voice in C & W .except for say Jim Reeves.Try to have a look at the DVD " Mart Robbins At Town Hall Party " ,recorded in 1959 in black & white. The sound & picture Quality aren't 100% but the material makes up for that.Especially the songs " Down Where The Trade Winds Blow " & " My Isle Of Broken Dreams " are magic but the rest are superb.

  • This is great! I didn't know Marty Robbins recorded this! By the way, Martha Tilton also had a huge hit with this song. Thank you for posting this!
