In both here and (But more) in The New Horton movie with Jim Carey, you know who the sour kangaroo reminded me of, Doc Hopper, Yes The Villain from The Muppet Movie, both want the main characters to do something that they don't want to do or believe, they try several things to get them, & eventually even hire people & a feared professional to kill the main characters if they refuse, you have to notice the similarities, in fact in both, the main characters in the end try to reason with them btna

I think there may have been some reservations in the 60's to giving the eagle a Russian name,so they renamed him Whizzer McQuoff for the TV cartoon.

Also-there's no "Dr.Hoovie" in the book or movie(where there's a Whoville mayor),but I love the character. When my kid was little he had a Sunday School teacher who was his spitting image.The kid embarassed the hell out of me when he told the teacher "My daddy says you look like the man in the movie with the elephant."
