blasty5150 ... where is the brown sound? This is watered down... Try 1983 in south America... KILLER! His playing is on the edge!!! This is predictable... NO FIRE! Today Ed is sober and playing EXCITING again! Ed on LWAN and Tokyo '88 is KILLER, but from 1991 - 1995 the booze was taking it's toll, it's a progressive disease. New album in 2011, and I can guarantee it will be GODLY!
@falquest i dont know what your taking about but evh was on fire through the 90's and yes his tone was brown as hell in the 80's but here he is still in top form. check out evh in 2004 for some drunk evh stuff
I second that on new material... Though there is some video of him in Lakeland Florida on the monsters of rock tour where he. Is just going off. You can see clips of it on the MTV rockumentary video. Its kind of a mute point nowdays though.
i think Ed uses a Harmonizer , or some effect to get that chorus-like tone.

This is pretty good... The Live Right Here / Now Vid was awful... I just watched him solo in 1981 and was beyond the beyond... Just Brilliant!

When this tour rolled into Toronto with Kim Mitchell, Vince Neil, and BTO on July 1st, it was stellar.......

This is so much better than the shit I had to sit through in '07. Hopefully the surgery helped him!!

God I love Eddies early 90's tone!
Is there chorus in the mix?
lisannhodges67 2 years ago
That sound is mostly Detuning with an Eventide. The new Pitchfactor is perfect for that!

WOW! I never thought Eddie used anything like that. Sounds like thats it!
Thanks!
