I'm looking for footage of George, Eric, and some other really great guitarists-and Ringo was on there too of a concert that was like on PBS or something. There were some incredible guitarists. I don't know if it was a George Harrison thing or a "guitarist" thing where someone put together a lot of great guitarists. I wish I had the name of the concert. Any ideas??
There's the ARMS concert that had Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page and Clapton in it. Not sure about Ringo and George however. The only other one I can think of is what lpvcrcd suggested, the princes trust concerts.
@lordhalo1605 check the tom petty, jeff lyne, steve winwood, dany harrison and prince version. prince's solo is way better than the original. clapton's fav guitar hero is prince...wonder why
@PageandPlant4Life eric said and still does, PRINCE. Prince did what he had to do. his personality. ur just jealous hes bigger than life. who cares about whos eric favourite anyway? everyone LOVED IT, and he got a standing ovation before he was finished. harrison LOVED IT and was so happy prince stole the show. now fuck off if u cannot see what every musician sees in prince.
Obviously not everyone loved it. And who cares what Dhani thinks, he's not George. He hasn't really done anything musically relevant enough to have an important opinion. Prince is a decent guitar player, but once again he isn't Claptons favorite. I could go on for days with guitarists he prefers over prince, but how bout we quit arguing on a good video.
@PageandPlant4Life who cares what u think? ur nobody. im sure ur the typical idiot kid that is gonna come up with those guitar virtuoso that play ANYTHING...haha, look, steve vai is number one prince fan, so now u can shut the fuck up.
you are an idiot. I am not about the guitar virtuoso thing. I love the blues and anything with feeling. I dislike Prince because of his arrogance and because he showed off at an event that was supposed to be about George Harrison.
@PageandPlant4Life if u love feeling beyond technique why the fuck u hate if hes making a show off or u call him asshole? that shouts ur insecurity. elvis was arrogant and that cocky attitude its cool, its rockn roll. george would be standing up clapping wherever he is. that night prince was inducted in the hall of fame so he had a chance to show everyone how good he is and there were sooo many people that didnt know he even played guitar...just read the comments. ur thing with p is personal.
Pattie, Layla and Wonderful Tonight. I my opinion, Eric you are the one of best guitarist of the world, but we and you know, your two amazing songs, based on kindness your friend Harisson, that you forgive fraud ... Pattie Boyd ...... It is life. George had feeling and was a gentleman. George have a nice dream and let the angels keep.
really awsome. i love that you included Dhani Harrison in there too. But I can't get over that irony! Clapton playing a song that George wrote about Patti, and then look how that turned out!
This song wasn't about Patti Boyd, and contrary to popular belief, neither was the song "Something". (George Harrison himself said he was thinking of Ray Charles when he wrote "Something"). This song was written one day, after George had read "I Ching", when he decided that he was going to open a book and write a song based on the first words he saw, those words were "Gently weeps". Clapton plays the guitar solo on the officially released studio recording as well.
George`s songs were every bit as good as John and Paul`s after 1966. Most of the songs on All Things Must Pass were written during his Beatle time but would never have been heard since he generally got 2 songs per album. He got his friends together and recorded everything and released them in 1970.
Perfect- Edit- It is very ghostly and errie THat is Eric Clapton Playing both young and old. Good job- imagine what the Beatles SUPER MEGA TOUR would be like if all were still alive-- it would have been the concert of all concerts!!!!!!!!

Great mix! I loved seeing the 3 beatles guys on this vid, + little Dhani playing with his dad. So wonderful, as I would dream it!! Great job!! (wish there was a way to incorporate John somehow).
When George was good, he was indeed magical. His problem was that all evaluations, in fact, all human reasoning, is based on answers to, "as compared to what questions."
As great as George could be, when compared to John Lennon and Paul McCartney... well, let's just say, without taking anything away from George's brilliance on this song, Something, Here Comes the Sun, and a host of others, that's tough competition. Really, really tough competition.

What has happened to all the clips from the Concert for George at the Albert Hall? Most seem to have ben deleted. Now that was a tribute concert and to such a great man!
I found an AMAZING version of this song. Just search 'James Durbin', its the first one, it should say While My Guitar Gently Weeps. But his voice could be compare to Robert Plant and Dio. Watch the whole thing, listen to the screams!!!!!

The last one I found got labeled private. It's gone from YouTube, That's sad, it was the best.

A very clever mix of video from a concert for George and the concert for bangladesh, also some Lennon footage near the end

What has happened to all the clips from the Concert for George at the Albert Hall? Most seem to have ben deleted. Now that was a tribute concert and to such a great man!

The video is not fake, it's absolutely real. The matter is that this is not live footage, it's a mash-up of performances. Read the video description!

I found an AMAZING version of this song. Just search 'James Durbin', its the first one, it should say While My Guitar Gently Weeps. But his voice could be compare to Robert Plant and Dio. Watch the whole thing, listen to the screams!!!!!
