  • bad ass truck

  • how did you install these in the reverse lights i thought that the circut board behind them prevented that

  • Please tell me where you got all of the lights at. Also, do you use an interior control box for all of the lights? Will you please message me.

  • what brand interior lights?

  • How much did all that cost you? About?

  • Very cool!

  • very nice install, looks great

  • quick question dude how much did this cost u in all?

  • that looks fantastic i wish that was my ute

  • nice job... is all that legal?

  • '

  • LOVE this!!

  • Loving it! Want these for my 09 ram!

  • Where did you get the flickering ones in the tail lights? I am wanting a pair for my 09 Ram. :D

  • How did you do the mounting for the rear LEDs? I have a similar setup and I'm looking at options for the rear window mounts.

  • Great setup!

  • dude what the fuck is going on in ther...looks like a rave..hahahaha

  • if ur a fire fighter why dont u have blue or red lights insted of yellow

  • how much does somthing like that cost

  • how much did all the strobes cost?

  • beautifully installed...nice truck man

  • These strobes are awesome!! Is it legal to have Amber lights on the front of your vehicle in NYS, as well as wig wag?

  • I have a couple of questions.

    1. How much was this setup?

    2. Was it easy to install?

    3. How is it all wired?

  • how did you hook up the strobes in the third brake light and what kind are they

  • Nice strobe work with the third break light.

  • nice what colors r the mini- phantoms? and how much did those 2 cost a piece?

  • how did you install the strobes? was it difficult?

  • hey i have a f-250 i use for recovery and i have a beacon and strobes in headlights and tail light and leds in the grll i want to run the spilt phantoms and mor lights but i wan out of my upfitter switches so i was wondering what you have all the 12 volt plugs an to thanks

  • mini phantoms are the thee most best inexpensive lights out there, you get the most bang for your buck

  • where can i get them?

  • What state is this in? Here in Washington, Tow trucks are allowed to have red lights in all direction. Only rule is the vehicle must not be in motion to have the lights activated.

  • cool lights(for being a chevy) :)

    5/5 stars

  • lol you can use that for parties

  • how hard was it to run the wiring on the sides of the 3rd brake light? im thinking about doing that with mine. thanks!

  • Very nice job. Nice truck too.

Im looking to install 4 strobes,2 front headlights and 2 in the rear tail lights.

I've got all my cables, strobes and the power supply. Do I just run a hot and ground to the power supply, then plug the cables and run to each strobe? Any info would be great!

  • $830 for all of the lights damn thts pretty good

where did u buy the lights?

  • you have a very nice camera for filming high speed flashing lights

  • ok im sure i know this isnt road legal but its nice. hmmmm do u know if under car neon lights are street legal?

  • They are street legal. The truck is decaled for thew towing company and so long as I can make plainly clear why they are on then I'm fine to use them. If I was just rolling down the street with them on a cop might have something to say but can't do much because there are no forward facing red or any blue lights. Neons are illegal because they are not a warning or DOT approved vison, marker or stop tail turn in any color.

  • @coaster70 Neons are not illegal. What are you smoking?

  • @aznspunkmaster

its legal you just cant have red blue or green(park ranger) strobes. underglo is only legal in certain states.

  • @aznspunkmaster - Don't comment on things you know nothing about.

  • @aznspunkmaster yeah.... amber lights are illegal but neon homo lights are fine

  • Very Clean Setup and yet very effective. Sadly, no amount of strobe lights would prevent a drunk driver from hitting you.

  • Did you remove the stock bulbs or did you drill a hole for the strobes?

  • Drilled the holes. All stock lights work.

  • how much would a setup like this run for?

  • About $830. Without paying someone to install them. I installed myself.

  • is amazing nice truck

  • thank you.

  • man thats awesome, who put all that in, and were did u get ur strobes from

  • Thank You. Strobes were from a local cop shop in raleigh nc. I did the install myself over a weekend.

  • cool car men,,,,,,,,,,,,,

  • Thanks

  • i love the set up looks like what i run on my REPO truck

  • not here in nc its not lol

  • ok u mean dont use them in front of the police

  • no, police generally won't bother you with amber's, though you need to check the laws in your area.

if you're driving around fast with the lights on trying to act like you're responding to an emergency, they DO NOT put up with that crap, so don't. i have lights on my trailblazer for storm chasing, a rear facing lightbar so idiots don't run into me during high precip but i don't run it while i'm moving.

just be careful and dont try and act like an emergency vehicle if you're not.

  • oh ok thanks

  • is it illegal to put led lights on a regular car

  • what exactly is the purpose for this?

  • I'm a supervisor at a towing company and sometimes have to go to a scene. I got tired of people cutting me off when i'm driving up the shoulder or just sitting behind me when i get to the scene. The lights are for safety and so people know I'm there officially.

  • So I guess then that all of these kits are sold to and installed in official/semi-official vehicles.

Geez, it's a tough room when you get a thumbs down for asking a simple question. Glad we're not talking about something important.

  • Anyone can buy an amber/yellow lighting kit. You can install them on any vehicle. Just when you are on the road the cops have to see some real purpose for them to be on. You can use them for any reason on private property. Some people have told me that the white strobe heads are illegal but no officer has ever said anything to me.

  • that truck would be nice too go storm chasing with

  • are those legal to put on a regular car?

  • why would you need those on a regular car?

  • because they look pretty. =]

  • Technically speaking in some if not most states they are legal as long as you do not flash them on roads. You can use them on private property as long as you're not impersonating a law enforcement officer.

  • strobe watts????

  • why dont you have any in front grill?

  • do you have any pics of the interior? Are there any visible cords? And do you have it all hooked up to a single master switch box where you can control the lights?

  • the strobes are they led

  • awesome set-up, were did you buy the lights from? I am a utility contractor and could use a set up like this. So I am wondering were you got them?

  • I bet police are weak when they see all the lights going. "omg there goes another wannabe"

Then to solve this issue, you rotate your wrist counter clock wise and the extend your middle finger. Issue solved.

  • Sweet man how much did that run you? How long did it take you to install the strobes?

  • could make it down the highway a little faster in that one. lol.

  • LOL. That reminded me of this guy who had a Mustang GT [that had a MAJORLY suped up engine] and put these lights on.

    Ha ha. Vroom.

Funnily enough, a police officer tried to pull him over [Squad cars here are un-touched Chevy Impalas] for impersonating a police officer I guess Well. They didn't catch him

    [Once again, vroom :D]

  • Actually, having lights like this doesnt constitute impersonating an officer. As an ex police officer, I can tell you that to constitute impersonating an officer you either have to represent yourself as an officer, or assume the duties of an officer. Just having lights isnt much more than a parts violation or illegal equipment citation. I mean, tow trucks have lights, ambulances, utility trucks, fire engines.. etc. You could be impersonating a tow truck for all they know. Lol

  • Yeah. I tried [key word: tried :) ] to make a reasonable Hypothesis. It could be a multitude of things, I just guessed.

    Thanks for your correction.

And thank you for serving as a police officer. Its a very thankless job, and an important one.

    [And I don't encourage Illegal activities. Even in a Mustang :) ]

  • looks awesome so much better than a big clumsy beacon

  • nice truck. what is it used for?

  • Im guessing you got the split phantom for the chevy tahoe since they dont make it for the silverado right? i have a gmc so it should work on mine then.

  • i was thinking the exact same thing and are in the same boat

  • The Phantom is the same. Just have to specify mounting brackets which are for the tahoe. Really easy to install.

  • Hey couple questions one where did u get them and two is there a bad glare in the truck?

  • Sweet setup... How did you get the fog lights out to mount the strobes. My Chief has the same truck you do but can't get the fogs out.

  • There are three studs that poke out from the reare of the light. Just have to push them out. Then it snaps back in.

  • cool truck. Cool lights!

  • the reason for the corner strobes are for the corner. no one can see those strobes in the sides because the fog lamps are only viewable from the front.

poor choice if you ask me.

but i do like the rear 3rd break light strobes.

  • The double hull of the headlights was a little tricky to 1) Judge exactly where the bulb would protrude. and 2) I dodn't have the concern of intersection clearing. The veh is for roadside work and some escort. So I took the easier route with the fogs since straight on is what I was concerned about. 3rd brake light worked out better than i thought it would. I was sure they would blow the incadecents for the bed lights but they are still working.

  • Do you have picks of where you mounted the fog strobes?

  • do you have photos of the interior controls?

  • I used to. I'll have to dig back and see if I still have them. I'll email and let ya know.

  • You wont be able to see the strobes in the hi and lo beams at night when the headlights are on

  • yeah u can...

  • There are no strobes in the headlights. Only the fog lights.

  • But ucant really use that car on the streets, right?

  • says who?

  • bcuz there amber lights. he cant go driving everywhere with them

  • Sure can. The clear strobes are a bit of a gray area in the law. I've had it on accidentscenes running the lights with cops all around and none of them have ever said anything to me. Also have done a few escorts as well.

  • Nice, can u hook me up?

  • did it fit nice in this chev or was it difficult?

  • Once I recieved the proper mounts for the LEDs it was very simple. Takes 10mins to install the fronts. The rears take some wire routing but its nothing major. All work (strobes and leds) took one day. Strobes were definately the most diffucult. But overall it was never so hard where I would wish somebodyelse was doing it.

  • I installed two mini phantoms led lights in the rear of my tow truck and two in the front and when i get to an accident scene and turn my lights on they stop cars when i face oncoming traffic.

  • absolutely awesome video! great light set up too. i have an 04 chevy ext cab that i just put a 37 inch arrow bar in the back window of and a pair of grille leds on the front grille. i also have a pair of strobe tubes in the cargo lights. i want to get a 6 outlet 90 watt strobe kit and put them in the front now, like two in the fogs, two in the low beams, and two in the highbeams. i'm not sure yet how that is going to work out, but hey great job on yours

  • Well what did you think it was? An action movie? Nobody made you watch it. Grow up.

  • where did u get the kit from

  • Looks good, what are the ambers for though?

  • Im a Shop Foreman for a towing company and the ambers are all I'm legal for.

  • lol i got one just like that.

  • strobes in the cargo lights, thats cool. check out my truck

  • NICE SET UP! you gave me way to many ideas!

  • another thing if ur still in nc id pay u to do the same to my truck

  • just wondering what type of power boxes u had and where u bought all ur lights great set up man i really like it

  • how did you put the strobes in the 3rd brake light im about to do mine

  • The Third Brake light was the easiest to do actually. Just removed the light cut the holes and made sure the strobes didn't touch the brake bulbs. Ran the wires behind the headliner and down the side panel and hooked;em into the box.

  • dude seriously, nice fuckin touch. i love the 3rd brakelight strobes! i have a whelen 8 head 150 watt box with 2 spots with nowhere to put more strobes.. thank you for the idea!

  • i forgot to mention you need a wigwag box from galls, get the 3 pattern one its the best! only about 40 bucks! post another video if you add it :)

  • What are the lights in the front window? And How Many? Do you have an pics of the set up inside>

  • It's a Star Signal "Split-Phantom". Total of 8 led heads.

  • truly one of the best setups ive seen... mad nice

  • What kind of lights r in the back window?

  • Mini Phantoms from Star signal.

  • How much for this?

  • this runs about $830 for all the lights and boxes.

  • Thanks but too expensive 800 dollas for some lights like those ohh luiz.I just bought some HID for 300 dollas image the shit.

  • Great. I need to get some for my Xterra but I have a factory tinted window I'm concerned about. It may affect the intensity. What do you think?

  • My back glass is tinted as well. It does affect them but it is still very visible.

  • FINALLY SOMEONE DID IT. I always wonder if someone would. THANKS!

  • You're welcome! It was pretty easy once you get the courage to say "I'm gonna make this 1inch hole in my brand new truck. Then I'm gonna make six more in the lights." Some advice: Skip the headlights if you can. The twin hull design is very intricate and the outer does not match the inner.

  • Very Cool!! Are there strobes in the third brake lens. Awesome!!

  • Yep and Thanks. The tubes are almost right against the incandecents for the bed lights. Luckily they havent poped the bed lights.

  • Why only amber/white?

  • I'm a Foreman for a towing company so I'm not legal for anything else.

  • nice set up man

  • Thank you!
