  • i love how this song is based on the part of the story when coheed takes poison to his 2 youngest children and the first video response is help stop child abuse

    IRONYYYY

  • my friend who was into hiphop introduced me to this band. this was back at 07. every time I listen to this, it reminds me of the friends I once had.

  • Man I've always loved Claudio's voice. So good. SO tasty.

  • Man I've always loved Claudio's voice. So good. SO tasty.

  • Love these guys so much I named my daughter Cambria-Josephine!!

  • Why have i only just heard of this band.... o_O Thats a proper FAIL on my part.

  • @UndeadDragonBorn you must be 12

  • The one that grabs at your ankles!

    So damn powerful.

  • Same. Also been listening since i was 10, also am now 17, no matter how much i listen to this song it still gives me chills

  • Inspired ever since.

  • I fuckin miss this that i could cry .

  • Better than sex

  • @DWarrior4 i rather havin while i am listening coheed and cambria

  • i keep seeing maria n mathew on the ground dead... its so sad

  • 266,138 views for coheed / 134 views for child abuse. xD been listening to this band since i was 8... im now 17 still not tired of them <3

  • Josh is officially back!

  • i had no idea they had a book that came with The Year of The Black Rainbow, and it was awesome

  • that is one of the coolest fucking guitar solo/song combinations i have ever heard. fuckmybutt this band needs to do shit like this again. coheed4lyfe yall

  • Coheed seems heavily influenced by Rush, am i right? i love both bands!

  • @theycalledmebob They actually weren't influenced by Rush. Many people think so though.

  • @VlexisXII ah ok now i know not to go around asking people if its true lol

  • @VlexisXII I don't know cuz claudio was wearing a rush band t-shirt in Charlotte when he went on stage for the sstb tour in april

  • @theycalledmebob Indeed they are. In fact, Claudio developed his voice based on Geddy Lee. If you check out their ablum In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3 they have a song called 2113 as sort of a tribute to Rush. They are both amazing progressive bands.

  • @canesrule96 basically the older the album, the more i like it. i do like good apollo though....i just hate black rainbow, it's just kinda boring to me

  • Never has a song infected me with such emotion and power and pure badass rock. This album, this band, and this song will always have a special place in my heart.

  • BBOAT

  • Hrm, it seems I have to go destroy 9 people now...

  • So yea, Coheed should sound like this again

  • The fence is getting old these days.

  • @Ribeyeangus yet the fence stands strong

  • Funny how a video response to this is child abuse, given that fact that the song is about a father murdering his children, great song :D

  • The Amory Wars is some sad shit :(

  • who else doesnt really like there new stuff, mostly black rainbow

  • @electricman531 Me. I can get into only a couple songs on their newer albums. I loooove SSTB and IKSOSE3, though. The others....not so much.

  • ...Coheed is just simply amazing. I love the sound they project. Takes me away, and yeah. I'll even admit, Claudio's voice just has to grow on you with time.

  • Why is everyone hating on Nickelback, CoCa, and Disturbed? I happen to like all three...

  • @badgerbadger16 All 3 represent what should not be.........

  • i had all the back catalogue for this band.. proper reminds me of the better times in my life. so much love for this album

  • coheed = Life but...i have to say i didnt see it comin when Todd robbed a pharmacy LOL!!...nope not at all

  • What?

  • @iwatchedraysnewvid lol didnt you hear dude? the base guy todd robbed a pharmacy and is now in jail :P

  • @genestarwind7 No i didn't thanks.

  • @genestarwind7 ride or die playa. gangstas gonna be gangsta.

  • @genestarwind7 Hahaha I saw them in Boston near where I live, and two days later he robbed the pharmacy a couple towns away hahaha.

  • I first started listening to Coheed a few years ago, and at first I didn't like his voice either. After a while it grows on you and they are by far my favorite band now. I can proudly say that I am one among the fence

  • @T13bleachfreakT13 I KNOW RIGHT!!!!! SAME HAPPENED TO ME!!!!!

  • @T13bleachfreakT13 Same here. Man, it's amazing how much I love this band now. Has to be my favorite

  • @yourmommification69 Hah, a Disturbed junkie. You'll find that there's a lot in the musical world outside of guttural roaring and mostly spoken lyrics. Oh, and I can't forget power chords either!

  • @Quaiokapi hahaha

  • @yourmommification69

Maria My STAAARa, Mathew Goodniiiiight-A, GET DOWN WIT DA SICKNESS,

You know, Motha fuckas, When youwillbe for-given!

  • @yourmommification69 Haha, not a bad troll.

  • @yourmommification69 hahaha you must be the guy who thinks disturbed is cool? hahahahha thanks for the laugh bro.

  • @yourmommification69 you know, I hate to sound like a hipster, but... you can suck Coheed's not mainstream balls.

  • @yourmommification69 Yeah cause a high vocal range isn't impressive at all, the guy from Disturbed has got nothing on Claudio, for one Claudio can hold a note so he wins hands down right there, done.

  • @yourmommification69 its called progressive for a reason...

its pretty music, uplifting and sometimes heart warming.

its not satanic like your drug addicted Disturbed and nickelback ect.

  • @yourmusicguru If you're gonna hate, hate right, Mr. Troll. Hate Nickelback for their lack of talent, and hate Disturbed because most of their songs sound the same.

  • There's a reaction bar now? WHOA.

  • great great band!

  • hmm been meaning to check these out for ages. A lot of people love em on a music review site I use, really don't like the vocals. Reminds me of Skylit Drive or something. Please don't murder me.

  • @br00talKidHxC I hated the vocals at first, listen a few times tho and they grow on you, there is a lot of range in Claudio's voice, it takes time to get used to.

  • disregard all previous comments, cuz it was a troll

  • dammit some faggot got on my youtube account again.

  • @crunchberryz

If your going to insult something please use proper English and try not to sound like an idiot

  • jk love this band

  • @crunchberryz lmao wait, I just read this one, nevermind then (:

  • I think i'd enjot the song a little more if the singer didn't sound like a chipmun that got got shotgunned in the sack!

  • @crunchberryz -dude wtf haha you're an idiot

  • @crunchberryz Lol... you're a sad sack, really. His actual tone of voice is really deep, but you're not a fan so you wouldn't know, just go die off somewhere

  • 5:35 and onwards make me cry because i can never experience the same beauty with my eyes as with my ears

  • 8 people were time consumed.

  • memories

  • what version is this? my album version is greatly different.

  • @Coaler73 You torrented the unmastered version like me didn't you fuck face?

  • @BulrogtheSorcerer SHHHHHHH! lol i also bought the cd but i lost it at some point so i guess that's why i haven't heard this.

  • @AlTheKiller1000 Don't you have a card game to get to, Al?

  • Comment removed

  • kinda seeing theese guys with soundgarden on the 5th, jealous?

  • @SmellyWeenis nah not really mate the neverender SSTB your was amazing enoughh

  • This is progressive rock.

  • god, such a beautiful masterpice this song is. heart beats and eargasms everytime, so much athestetic, so beautiful, manificent.

  • Time consumer, delirium trigger, and mother superior are the 3 best songs EVER ;)

  • @exsosist123 i feel like we just connected.

  • @exsosist123 ooo so close, false, actually ALL of their songs are their best, but i like your style! those are great songs!

  • @exsosist123 those are my favorites aswell but including wake up aswell :)

  • @exsosist123 What about Everything Evil?

  • The best feeling is when you're listening to Coheed, and you feel the emotions of what's going on in the actual lyrics.

This one always gets me. Along with No World For Tomorrow.

I cried when I saw them, they started with IKSSE:3, the guitar is so beautiful.

  • One more thing, all you sheep gtfo trying to talk like you know what the fuck music is, you probably grew up loving backstreet boys and Brittney spears.

  • This is progressive metal, progressive means progressive not what you think metal is now.

  • claudio usualy sings his darkest lyrics in the most upbeat songs... blood red summer, willing well II.. so on

  • @gmkilla27 that is what makes him so great and original :) he is God 8D come to know him as such *delirium trigger referance*

  • Progressive.....................METAL? Wtf hahaha, Coheed is one of my all-time favorite bands but they aren't metal, bro. The closest they get to it is probably The Hound of Blood and Rank, Welcome Home, or Gravemakers and Gunslingers. Those mostly qualify as Hard Rock anyways, lol.

  • @SpongyeWest iiiii somewhat agree, but prog metal is a complete turn away from normal "metal"... coheed is a matter a fact considered as ONE of their genres, progressive metal. Claudio, Mic, even Travis has owned up to that in interviews.

  • I hope Coheed and Cambria make as many albums as Rush and become as well known and loved/appreciated as Rush. I love Coheed way more than Rush, but every time I listen to either they remind me of eachother because they are both weird and amazingly awesome, lyrically, instrumentally, they both need to be in the rock and roll hall of fame says I.

  • I've been listening to these guys since they were calling themselves Shabütie. CoCa for life.

  • The intro to the album never fails to send chills down my spine.

  • I can't believe it's almost been a decade since this album... I feel old.

  • @loveisparanoid87 ...=( seriously....

  • @loveisparanoid87 you should feel more proud than you feel aged. This was a time when Coheed could have been VERY proud of the music they were writing..

  • @vegovega69 I would hope that doesn't suggest they shouldn't be anymore. The music is still driven by a story and that's what makes them so great.

  • SO EXCITED!! Gonna see Coheed and Cambria on the 6th in Portland. I need to listen to this first Album cause I've never heard anything from it, I loves everything else, though. =D

  • Listening to this song at night period.

    Best feeling ever.

  • Pain is only a pulse, if you just stop feeling it! <3

  • the song is actually about Claudio killing his daughter and his son, obviously not for real. but in the sense of the song its telling a story.

"Me and my star, Matthew good night

You know, by law, when you'll be forgiven

    Maria my star, Matthew goodnight

You know, my lord, when you'll be forgiven"

its talking about the death of his 2 kids :3

  • @therealguitarhero13 That's about right, though you mean Coheed instead of Claudio.

  • @therealguitarhero13 wow not even close ... he doesn't even have any kids and there also (maria and matthew are twins and there his cousin .. goin to see them tomorrow live in nj fucking word

  • @houismorpheus nonononnono, its telling A STORY. about and what not. i didnt say he had kids. its the story of the song. read the comics and all the jazz thats been released dude :3 but opinions will be opinions i spose

  • @therealguitarhero13 haha wow ok man... i didn't read the damn comics sorry .. anything else you want to say???

  • @houismorpheus Anything else? Hm, maybe to read the comics?

  • way off, dumbass. read the comics

  • @xmisterpurplex Nerdiest comment on youtube? I think so.

  • @houismorpheus i meant coheed killing his kids, claudio doesnt die because he is out with newo, read the fucking comic. its much better understood that way.

  • this song would fucking SUCK if it weren't for Dr Know's solo.

  • This song makes me feel good about the world even though we're in this shithole

  • @ecrona the songs about being an a bigger shithole than we are in now if that makes you feel better

  • @jitk1 Yeah, pretty much ten thousand times worse than our world is now.

  • has a very early post hardcore-esque feeling to it imo

  • coheed and cambria fans, we need you!, go to this site, and keep voting, you can vote as many times as you want until there is a cooldown, wehave to beat disturbed, cmon guys. We are defending champs MTV voting for the march madness, today is the last day!

  • In the comic Maria And mahew were his twin siblings who died...I LUV THE COMIC. read it if u wanna have a better understanding of the songs

  • Maria my star, Matthew goodnight<3

  • i love how there is 8 dislikes.... if you dont like the song why do look it up? morons...

  • @Nov653944 ... its called random searching. You seriously think nobody who watches a youtube video is listening to a song for the first time?

  • @Nov653944 They'd probably never heard it.

  • @Nov653944 No, you see they must have mistakenly hit the dislike button due to some sort of spasm and didn't realize it

  • they are so good. people dont realize how talented Coheed is.

  • this version sounds different to the version i have..

    it sounds better

  • @DomIzWin there are many different versions of most of their songs. i have two versions of delirium trigger, junesong provision, elf tower new mexico, and everything evil

  • @TheVal3ntine Sick:)

  • Scooped guitars are scooped. Looove this song though :D

  • @PunKarmus say whatnow?? every time i'm on the internet i hear something like "adjective plural nouns are repeated adjective" and i'm like WTF!?

  • @canthinkverywell Tis just a funny meaning tautology meme.

  • @WoundedIcon meaningless*

  • @WoundedIcon u lost me after "funny"

  • no way go for rams head! <3

    NOTHIN' BUT GOOD OL' SSTB!!!!

  • fuck yeahhhh just bought my ticket for 930 club this morning

  • This song whispers joy and sorrow into my heart. A rush of embryonic fluid embraces my lungs as my mind becomes one with the vibration. A sense of peace like no other song ever has given me... This is why I want the Keywork tattooed on my nutz!

  • amazing how such a happy song can be so depressing

  • Best Coheed song ever.

  • OMG I LOVE. i might be seeing them in seattle in may! claudio's voice .. orgasm. <3

  • Such an amazing song, if you know what it's about it will really play with your emotions every time you listen to it.

  • @TimeConsumer3 I know I sound like a fool, but can you explain to me what it is about?

  • @TimeConsumer3 explain....

  • @TimeConsumer3 so i deffiantely love how 33 people like this haha

  • @TheBlackrose57 hahaha wow I didn't even notice, that's awesome

  • @TimeConsumer3

Very true, it's about Coheed killing his children. And yet it sounds almost happy, in a twisted way.

  • @liveyoungdiefast91 Isnt it about him thinking about killing his kids, not the actual act?

  • @weezproductions well regardless he ends up killing them anyway so a bit of both i guess, but mostly thinking about it

  • @TimeConsumer3 So very true, my friend. I listened to this song every time I got in my car for an entire summer. Still can't get enough. Awesome song!

  • @TimeConsumer3 you mean it being about Coheed killing his children ...?

  • @PsycReaper Yes

  • @TimeConsumer3 what this song is about ( but this already play with my emotions)

  • neverender concert in kansas city :D

  • me and oozard are going to be kings of this world someday

and we will have many children with the many women of this world.

there is something about delusions that are truly beautiful though no?

  • Coheed and Cambria makes so much more sense after reading the "Armory Wars" Songs mean a lot more if you know what is happening/going on. Great song, thanks for posting!

  • pretty intense, might have to do that to my kids when i have em

get my wife to help me do it to haha

  • they actually help young boys go through puberty

  • I used to have this CD until it got ruined in a car accident.

  • @falcoperegrinus82 I had this cd from when I first saw these guys at a VFW in south jersey. But a few months later I got into a car wreck while it was in my cd player :( so I feel your pain. But I just bought it again so its all good :D lol

  • 7 Justin Bieber fans watched this video and missed the like button because they were too stunned by awesomeness

  • Metal? NOpe.

  • @coheed0211 They have some songs that could be considered Prog Metal, but there mostly rock.

  • Coheed and mushrooms are great, this album to boot, first discovered this band some years ago when I was high, also saw the rush-subdivisions vid earlier that night on tv which is weird.

  • Isn't this similar to a song from another album? If so, which?

  • @IamCh1215 no one song...they bring melodies back from this song all over place through there albums

  • Comment removed

  • When the guitar comes in after the intro the only noise I could possibly make is "ooooooh"

Only beaten by Delirium Trigger on this album.
