  • I thought it was a parody of a video of the person on the thumbnail...

  • Finally!!!!!! Thank you for posting this video.

  • Maxine looks tasty!! Yum!

  • God Bless Maxine and all the people responsible for giving her a second chance at a good life!

  • Farm sanctuary is the best place ever.

  • There was once a bull who came from some farm, he was just some kids pet or something. He made a bid for freedom after watching his companions slaughtered and dismembered. He didn't make it. The butchers called cops who drove out and shot him in cold blood. Not only that but they hauled him back and chopped him up too. Stupid sons of bitches. Bastards.

  • I am vegetarian. I am twelve and I help my brother who is nine and my sister who is eight to understand animals and go veggie!

  • 1:28... HAHAHA a black person saying no to rips... lol By the way disney should make a cartoon movie based on Maxine's escape from the slaughterhouse. I'll go watch it..

  • i love meat and I found the story interesting

  • I jjust fell in love with that sweetheart black woman

  • Too bad the people at Animal Care & Control don't care about their cats and dogs as much as they do for cows.

  • I run a group on Facebook called Suburban Vegetarians. We're based in New Jersey, USA, but anyone is welcome to join.

  • That cow doesnt belong to the sanctuary it belongs at the slaughter house to be our food!!! Screw the cow its just delicious meat to me

  • @terrillcase A cow doesn't belong in a slaughterhouse. Cows and all other animals belong in their natural habitat.

  • When I get the money, I am opening up a cow refuge to save cows from slaughter. It is my life goal.

  • i absolutly love and adore this story. :3

  • I could devote my life to that person or institution that stands for these poor animals....God bless them all...

  • A good story for a change......Beautiful...Thankyou.....i hear all the arguments...but all i can say is that this moves me more than meat does...so thats my thoughts.....Live Maxine....: ) x

  • I agree, am a hunter and don't really like to eat any animal that I did not hunt, I respect animals, am trying to eat only what I hunt.

  • @jossman25 i suggest ''Best Speech You Will Ever Hear - Gary Yourofsky'' and ''The Comparative Anatomy of Eating'' by Milton R. Mills, M.D.

  • I don't agree with the high demand of meat. I don't find anything wrong with eating it either as long as the animal is not tortured during killing and you are aware of the fact that it was once a living breathing animal. Life feeds on life. As much as we don't like to admit it and I know vegetarians are gonna wanna kill me for this but we are animals ourselves. We just like to categorize ourselves as perfect kind and loving humans. Just don't want to admit our animal natures...bon apetite

  • Wow how proud that you saved a cow, but the only reason people can be vegetarian is because of supermarkets, What would happen if we run out of food, especaily in northern climates, you would all starve. most people think you will never run out of food in this country.

    sign

    hunter, gatherer, environmentalist,

  • @justbran12 You miss the point entirely. We are against modern industrial factory farming where sentient creatures are made to live in horrible conditions. I wouldn't mind eating meat if it came from a local family farm where the animals are treated well, live in decent conditions, are not mutilated and beaten and are not kept in cages their entire lives. You are proposing extreme situations. Obviously if there was no other alternative but to kill to survive it would be a different story. cont..

  • @justbran12 but most people have an abundance of food in this country. We have lost all respect for the animals that have to die so that we can eat flesh. We would rather live in ignorance rather that acknowledge where our meat comes from. The Native Americans of the great plains would kill bison for their subsistence yet they respected the animal, did not let it suffer needlessly and made sure that none of its parts went to waist, every part of the animals was used for something.

  • the veteron of animals

  • Meat eaters obviously realize they're doing wrong. If they didn't, they wouldn't get so defensive over the subject.

  • Anybody notice how all the vegans and vegitarians say it's ok to have your own opinion while the meat eats can only critisise the "hippies".... Just thought I would that out....

  • Although I love to eat beef and will continue to eat it, I can't help but smile at this story. I believe that animals should live better lives, and should be killed as quickly and painlessly as possible for meat. As for this cow, I hope she enjoys her freedom, because she earned it.

  • SIMURON

  • lol@ the meat eaters making negative comments here. You get your way everyday with the slaughter of millions of innocent creatures. While on the rare occasions that the likes of Maxine make a break for freedom you want to piss on our parade. I'm loling at your sickness.....loooooll

  • Beautiful story.

  • I LOVE THIS WOMAN!! 3 month vegitarian here!! Go Girl!! ;)

  • Hey fags while u spend money on helping protect ur precious indian cow ppl r starvin in africa and other part of the world. Care for ur own kind first before u start humping fucking animals u indian retards

  • @SoldiumChloride Part of the reason that there is not enough food to send to Africa is because the majority of the grain grown in this country (wheat, corn etc.) goes to feed livestock. Growing animal flesh uses up so many resources (grain, water) and produces so much pollution that it really is not defensible from an ethical and environmental standpoint. If we really cared for starving humans, we would stop feeding tons of grain a year to cows, pigs and chickens and start sending it to Africa.

  • If everyone met their meat before like this great lady more people would feel differently about eating beef.

  • Cows are actually PRECIOUS pets... Our daughter would lay down w/her 1,000 lb cow and nap in the sun. When Athena would go to get herself up to graze, she was always sooo perfectly careful NOT to step on our daughter... SO AMAZING her concern and her care for our child. Our daughter grew up and moved away but Athena will always be special to her... It's our "farm animals" that made us stop eating meat YEARS AGO... They really are NO DIFFERENT from us. Just a different species of animal.

  • Damn that cow looks delicious!

  • humans are natural herbivores. they have no ability to catch an animal with their bare hands without weapons. the way humans eat animals is not like the way real carnivores do. on the day you catch your first animal in the wild is the day you can call yourself omnivore or carnivore.

  • @xSkinTicketx Humans are true omnivores, there is no question about that. I personally am a vegetarian but lets be honest, otherwise we become just like the rapid meat -eaters that hate to be told the truth of what happens at factory farms so they can continue to live their lives of blissful ignorance.

  • @jossman25 you can't claim something without a proof. Can you show me a source, please. just because society ''teaches'' as something, it does not have to be true. like i stated before, we have 0 carnivorous instincts. by that i mean catching, killing and eating animal with our bare hands. people who eat natural foods (only raw fruits and veggies, raw vegans) are doing it right. you can pick a veggie from the ground, but you are not able to do the real killing.

  • @jossman25 cholesterol is only found in animal products, but omnivores and carnivores will never get cholesterol in their blood, like every human who eats animas fats, because that food runs out of their digestive system very fast. Just because humans eat meat, that doesn’t make them omnivore. Humans have digestive system, appearance and instincts of a herbivore, but we eat meat and other animal products, cuz we are used to it.

  • Comment removed

  • When a meat eater tells me: "If animals aren't suppose to be eaten then god would have made them fast enough to run away!" I can now tell them he did :)

  • @paulkimlax Vegetarians are not hippies. That's called a stereotype. If you think there's nothing wrong with meat eating then why are you getting so defensive about it?

  • @cilcannonvryce I'd love to see you in the wild without you firearm.

  • @pigsrings is that like a challenge. on that note, trust me - I don't need a firearm for hand to hand combat. quit trolling.

we have different views on meat eating. so what. go be a vegan, and I will go be a meat eater. god bless.

  • good for maxine!

proud vegitarian i am! beautiful story! that made my day ya'll! :)

  • Amazing example of misguided human anthropomorphism. You all have ascribed human emotion to this animal. I do believe that you REALLY think this animal knew the situation she was in and made a conscious decision to 'run for her life'. It's heart wrenching for the ill-informed! If you care to be vegan... please do so. But spare us the sensationalism and respect the vast majority of our population who prefer to consume beef, pork, lamb, poultry, shellfish and seafood, and wild game!!!

  • This is beautiful. I am so glad to be vegan!

  • Surely if the cow was tagged to be slaughtered but escaped and was recaptured, it is STILL tagged to be slaughtered and there should be no two ways about that. The way I see it, these retarded hippies have committed theft for taking a cow that was not theirs.

  • beautiful...

  • GOOD COW

  • Vidoes like this make people think about the meat they eat. So does visiting a slaughter house. It's who we are...consumers. There would be less farming and killing of animals for food if we had to do it ourselves. Myself, I prefer Venison, Elk, or any other wild game over beef purchased in stores. There is no comparison as far as quality. Wild game over protein/corn fed and penned up animals. I gave eaten meat all my life but not as much as I used to. I'm slowly getting rid of it.

  • I wish cows escaped from slaughter more often.

  • It has to do with supply and demand. If we did not create a demand for meat, then there would be no supply, and animals would not be farmed for that purpose. The only reason animals are slaughtered, and meat, dairy, etc. is available at the store, is because consumers are creating a demand by consuming those products. Also, I'd rather not participate in the violence. By wearing leather, drinking milk, etc. I'm saying that it's morally acceptable to treat sentient beings like commodities.

  • Exactly, so if we are paying for beef, we are partly responsible for the slaughtering..like it or not

I heard Cows may cry when they are to be slaughtered. After this, the cow might be thinking, the very human that wanted to slaughter me feeds me and be nice to me...

But, I still find it very hard to give up eating meat. Personally, I think cows are different. They have more intellectual than other farm animals, like chickens

  • The way they are killed right now is slit to their throat and let them bleed to death, which I find very inhumane.

If they were to kill them, it should be quick and painless.

  • It has always been this way panterafist. The animals heart must be pumping in order to make the bleeding out process thorough.

In our western society the animal is rendered unconscious instantly with a bolt gun thus destroying brain tissue. The animal then has no knowledge or feeling of the slaughter process.

Muslims beleive that the animal has to be fully concious whilst the throat is cut.

They claim this is painless but personally I believe is very barbaric.

    We can live without meat.

    .

  • @TheUnsilenced Its not the slaughtering but the way in which the cows live and are killed. It has to do with wanting to spare money (that could otherwise be invested in reducing the suffering of the animals) to maximize profits.

  • I don't care about nonhuman animals more than people, nor do I care more about people than nonhuman animals. I care about all sentient beings. I am also passionate about human rights causes. All sentient, autonomous beings deserve freedom and life. Veganism isn't about caring for animals more than humans; it's about justice for everyone, human and nonhuman, and breaking these nonsensical hierarchies that cause so much indignity and suffering to so many.

  • We no longer create institutionalized mass violence towards tens of billions of sentient beings every year. Isn't that enough? Sure, we cannot completely eradicate injustice, but this is something so easily preventable. We should always avoid causing harm whenever it is possible.

  • Cows only produce milk when they are impregnated. So, no, once their milk dries up at the sanctuary, they are no longer milked.

  • I don't think veganism will solve all of the world's problems today, but I do think it will make our world more peaceful. Violence begets violence. By adopting a lifestyle that does not support violence in our eating, clothing, etc. we are closer to a more just world for humans as well. This violent mindset that "might makes right," and that power and greed is everything, has a lot to do with current world issues.

  • As for farmed animals, the ones already in existence will be cared for, but once everyone goes vegan, we will no longer breed animals to exploit them, so there will not be a surplus of farmed animals to care for in the long run. Also, as a plant-based diet uses far less resources than one including animal products, it is better for the environment and all its inhabitants, including people. It's a win-win for everyone.

  • There were those who said that the abolition of human slavery in the U.S. would never happen, and it did. It will take time, a lot of effort, and yes - it is a part of our economy, but that does not mean that animal exploitation will never end, nor does it even mean that the economy has to collapse as a result. Vegans require food, clothing, household products, etc. so there will still be a demand for those products. They just won't involve violence.

  • Humans are capable, both on an intellectual & biological level, to choose our diet. We know right from wrong, & can reason. We also will not die from malnutrition for eating plants instead of meat & other animal-derived sustenance. Comparing human predation to wildlife predation is like saying there is no difference between stealing a television for entertainment & stealing food to feed your family. It's also like saying adults shouldn't be held morally accountable since small children are not.

  • @NumBaONeHaTeRz - So basically you are saying that a) we should just kill because other animals do or b) that you kill your own food just enough to survive?

Factory farming is cruel, and meat is consuming out of greed and gluttony more often than not.

We, as the most intelligent creatures on the planet, have a responsibility to care for the weak, and to chose to rise above when we know that cruelty is wrong.

  • It's not so much about animals being alive as it is about sentience. Plants do not posses a brain or central nervous system, so they cannot have a perceptual awareness about themselves or their surroundings, or have any experiences. What we know from science now, is that animals (or most, anyway) are sentient, but plants are not. Sentience is where we draw the line. Also note that eating plants directly results in fewer plant deaths since farmed animals eat a considerable amount of plants.

  • I don't really think the argument goes up that eating meat is bad for your health. If you're talking about McDonald's meat it sure does. If it's not... then reasonable amounts probably won't do you much harm

  • True, there are plenty of healthy people who eat meat. The focus should really be that we can be healthy without meat, rather than that meat makes us unhealthy. Humans are omnivores, which means that we are equipped to digest both animal and plant protein. Since we have that choice, and animal products inherently involve exploitation and violence , we should opt for a lifestyle that does not unnecessarily harm sentient beings. Vegan food can be both healthy and great-tasting.

  • How would you feel about dairy products and eggs? They're present in most of our daily diet and very difficult to avoid

  • Dairy and eggs, whether from factory farms or smaller-scale farms, inherently involve exploitation and violence. Animals on any farm are property, and as such, have virtually no rights. They are viewed as commodities. They are forcibly bred, mothers are often separated from babies, and once they are no longer of economic value, they are killed. This is true of male chicks at hatcheries, male calves, and "spent" hens and cows. The truth is, we don't need dairy or eggs for proper health.

  • And although dairy & eggs are in a lot of foods, it doesn't make it impossible to avoid them. It's simply a matter of choosing alternatives. For example, in baking, I use non-dairy milks (such as soy, rice, or almond milks) instead of dairy, & egg replacers, like boiled ground flaxseed, mashed bananas, or products like Enger-G Egg Replacer. I still enjoy cakes, cookies, pies, etc. I just veganize recipes. There are also dairy-free ice creams, & even books on how to make homemade vegan ice cream.

  • I will definitely try to go vegetarian for at least a month, that's already a step in the right direction.

Dairy products and eggs have a smaller impact than meat and it's gotta be possible to find animal-friendly versions of them. Or at least more animal-friendly than meat could ever be

  • That's awesome! :) Yeah, if you ever need info or recipes, I can help you out in that department. For scrambled eggs, you can scramble tofu (extra firm) and add your favorite seasonings. Black salt (also known as Kala Namak), which can be purchased at Indian groceries or online, gives it an "eggy" taste. The internet is also a great place to find vegan recipes, as well as social networks where you can ask other vegans questions about veganism.

  • 3 days down the road, so far I'm doing great on a veggy diet. I lost 3 pounds which kinda surprised me coz I'm already at a decent weight (BMI of 21)

The variety of meals kinda surprised me, and I'll stick to it for as long as I can

  • That's great! Once you've done it for a while, it becomes second nature. I remember thinking before I went vegan that it would be really tough, but really, it isn't. It's just a matter of knowing how to replace certain things with vegan versions. I have also come to find that I have much more variety in my diet as a vegan than when I wasn't. And here, I thought I'd be deprived, but it has been just the opposite! :)

  • Why the fuck people eats cows stupid bastards.

  • hi, what the lady is saying between 1:56 and 1:59.

"I never ... that face. ... and it hurt."

can someone please write the missing parts. Thanks.

  • She's saying, "I never pictured that face...On that...And it hurt."

  • thanks! I tried very hard to hear it like "pictured" and I still can't... but I guess you are right.

  • Okay.... so let me get this straight. You think it's okay for us to kill cows since they would be bored otherwise?? They have no other uses?? Umm.... wow. Amazing that there are acutally people in this society that can say and believe that. Ask a cow if it would rather sit in a pasture all it's life or go to the slaughter house. Hmm.. I wonder what they'd say if they could talk? Again eating meat can cause clogged arteries which can cause death. So far I've beeen blessed with great health.

  • Ha - yeah, I know, cows are so bored of life, they make these escapes from the slaughterhouses why, now? Funny how human arrogance gets in the way of common sense. And any person with half a wit could see that rescued farmed animals on sanctuaries--away from an exploitive system that treats them like commodities--enjoy living.

  • Exactly - animals are bred and exploited for money. Once we stop exploiting and killing them, there will be no reason to bring any more domestic animals into existence.

  • It is not "hard" to get what we need in vegetable form. Also, B12 comes from bacteria. Before modern sanitation practices came into use, humans got adequate B12 from well water, streams, and soil. But the benefits of modern sanitation practices outweigh the benefit of acquiring B12 from these sources. Humans only need about 6mcg of B12 a day. One can easily obtain enough B12 from cereals, soy milk, nutritional yeast, vegan meat alternatives, etc. or by taking a weekly supplement.

  • People would find other means of work, as animal farming would be replaced with vegetable farming, and non-vegan businesses would be replaced with vegan businesses, or the practices replaced with vegan practices. Vegans eat, we wear clothing, etc. - we just use vegan alternatives. Also, humans have attributed these "purposes" or "uses" to nonhuman animals; they are not inherent. Just as we have done so with humans throughout our history. We create these nonsensical, oppressive labels.

  • You explained that in an excellent way. I sprinkle almonds as well as other varieties of nuts on salads, cereal etc. I have to add that eating a lot of meat contributes to high cholestrol in many people as well. It is not exactly a healthy food choice. In all the years of being a vegeterian I've never lacked protein and remain very healthy. :)

  • Almonds have 6 grams of protein per ounce; steak - 7 grams per ounce. Not a big difference. Humans don't need much protein; The RDA recommends we take in 0.36 grams of protein per pound that we weigh. It's easier than you think to get enough protein for the day with a varied diet. It all adds up. And how many people eat steak every day, & have it be the only part of their diet? Breads, pastas, beans, nuts, seeds - even vegetables, have protein. I get plenty of protein easily, & am not special.

  • I truly feel sorry for you.... being so ignorant an not being able to comprehend what people write. I said that almonds are one choice for a source of protein. There are many others. Eat all the steak you want. No one is stopping you. We live in America remember??? We ALL HAVE CHOICES. Now.... see if your small brain can comprehend that.

  • Yes, because celery and seeds are the only vegan foods in existence. Thanks for expressing your ignorance; it's a good laugh.

  • Num whatever..... PLEASE look up alternative food choices other than dead anmals that suffered as a protein source. There are TONS out there.... almonds are one of my favorite along with many others. Look up factory farming and then go and have a steak or some bacon. Get educated about what happens to anmals in this world before making ignorant statements. They al don't live a happy little life at "Old McDonalds Farm." They suffering in horrible factorys in tiny pens.

  • Even if they did live a "happy little life at 'Old McDonald's Farm'," it'd still be exploitation and violence, so it would still be wrong.

  • Yay we saved a million cows. We cut back on meat, and thousands of workers lost their jobs, shops, factories, stores, now in ruins. Economy falling even more.. but hey... we now have a million cows!! Wow we really made a difference. Yeah cows have have a life. A life spent supplying essential everyday items people around the world sell, buy, and consume. Without them the world would change for the worse.

And don't say im stupid fucker. You think your better than me because you eat lettuce.

  • Farmers who stop exploiting animals for money often go into organic vegetable farming. Sure, farmers will lose their jobs as consumers buy less and less animal products, but they will find other means of work. Vegans gotta eat, too, you know.

  • Hey NumBa whatever....

You obviously aren't an intelligent person. I do feel sorry for you. Read about factory farming in America. Protein comes from many sources. I have plenty of protein in my body. I get it from MANY other sources besides dead animals that were tortured and suffered terrible lives. How pathetic. Please read up before you comment again.

  • Actually, while humans are omnivores, our ancestors were primarily gatherers, finding ample sustenance by foraging for wild plants, and meat made up a much smaller amount of our diet. (Hunting didn't occur until much later in our evolution.) This whole "Caveman: The Mighty Hunter, eating pounds of red meat with bare hands" is Hollywood movie bullshit. It's an exaggeration. Read "An Unnatural Order".

  • I'm not denying that people hunted, but it wasn't until much later in our evolution, especially with hunting larger animals like bison. Our meat-eating has been greatly emphasized & exaggerated. For the majority of our evolution, we were primarily gatherers; plants made up around 80% of our diet. Again, you should read "An Unnatural Order". Humans are omnivores, which means we are not obligated to eat meat or other animal products. That's the point of omnivorism - to eat whatever is available.

  • Lions, Bears, Tigers, Wild Dogs, Crocodiles, Snakes, etc. all brutally KILL and eat other animals.

Do we need to educate them too?

Should we educate them to eat only heads of lettuce instead?

    This is nature.

    It's ugly ... but it's reality.

  • Ooh, yes! The nature so primitive and brutal, it has computers and YouTube! (And grocery markets filled with produce!)

    1. Humans are not carnivores, and don't need to hunt to survive.

    2. We are omnivores, & are highly intelligent; therefore, we don't need meat, and we have the ability to behave morally and rationally. Playgrounds can be "ugly," too; we don't use the behavior of children as a format for our own morality. We're supposed to know better. There's nothing wrong with compassion.

  • So, the contention of PETA is that a non-sentient creature making an escape that has been made thousands of time in seperate instances is more worthy of life than the hundred of pentential victoms of that animal's escape attempt.

Furthermore Hertherford cows, are an unatural creature genetically culled and engineered through selective breeding to create a decent meat bovine. domesticated animals can only exist as either pets, decoration, or food. cows are food.

  • You are a pathetic excuse for a human being. People can easily live (and live healthier) by eating fruits and vegetables and not meat. Eating meat contributes to many poor health issues. Look it up and get educated before you speak please.

  • Comment removed

  • Umm... "pussies?" I can tell you are educated. What a waste. Do me a favor and learn how to read and then maybe go to college and get educated not only in factory farming but something that may make you a better person since you obviously need help.

  • You say that i am not educated but you contradict yourself in your own comment. You retard.

And ok yeah, i need help because i beleve that the world shouldn't eat grass and nuts like lesser animals and that some animals have to be killed for their resources - humans are herbivores - humans are preditors

  • It's really a shame that you use the word "retard" so loosley. That certainly says a lot about you. I teach special education and take offense to how easily you use that term. What a shame. I pity you.

Oh and also... for your information, vegeterians do not eat grass. Again... read about it and get educated before making ignorant statements like that.

  • I wasnt using the word 'retard' loosely, it was used correctly.

And was referring to a lesser animal shown in my comment 'eat grass and nuts like lesser animals', how can that possibly be clearer?

You should have no pity for me, but i do for you. A 47 year old american woman who believes that killing animals for their resources is wrong and the whole world would be a great big happy place if everyone ate bits of leaves and seeds. Well it wouldnt, your pathetically stupid for thinking that.

  • I rest my case:

    You wrote:

"killing animals for their resources is wrong and the whole world would be a great big happy place if everyone ate bits of leaves and seeds"

If you look, you used the word "your" incorrectly. You should have written "you are." Hmm....

  • Also I am horrified how animals are treated in FACTORY FARMS here in America. They suffer horribly BEFORE they are killed. They live in dark, cramped cages and pens their whole lives just to make Mr. Perdue and McDonalds a bit more wealthy.

Please Google Factory Farming and become educated in this area before posting again.

  • Dont try and get the last post in by not replying to mine. It doesnt matter about how the animals are treat, its just meat. And what do you care about how they life their lifes, its not as though we need them for their superior intelligence is it.

And dont try and talk down to me, im not a brainless idiot. I know a lot about a lot of things.

  • A minor grammar mistake is not worthy of deeming somebody a retard. Perhaps you should be more educated?

  • Honey.... I didn't "deem" you or anyone else that. YOU are the one that used the word. Not me. Once again, please get the facts straight.

  • I was using that in context to my last comment where i submitted to you that you were a retard, any counter argument to that would have been to try deem me a retard. Do you not understand English?

  • You apparently haven't Googled "Factory Farming." Do us all a favor and do it then make another post after you have viewed it and gotten an education in this area.

  • What the hell! I want a pig, they are thousends of them because the are very nice to eat. Ohh, what happens if we are all fucking hippies, "Hi kids, you want to go to the zoo to see the pig!" In fact the world would be better if you was alowed to eat whales, and polar bears. Then they wouldnt be endangerd. Because we would ensure they would be loads of them. Im sorry, this is an ethical issue for me. I would rather ensure the survival of animals rather than leave them to die because we cant eat.

  • Hmm.. I've never heard of a vegeterian dying from not eating meat. Hmmm....

  • Well how do you think i got here in the first place? Think it through...

  • Budfish why don'y you do the world a favour and go DIE

  • great video. very moving. thanks for posting.

i know this ain't gonna be popular, but i have to say that people who eat meat are either STUPID or WICKED.

if they don't know what happens in a slaughterhouse, they're STUPID.

if they do know, and still eat meat, then they're WICKED.

There's no need to eat the flesh of any creature.

i might say that as a strict veggie for 25+ years, but it's still the fact of the matter.

    karma rules ok. ;-)

  • karma rules ok. ;-)

  • Makes me proud to be a vegetarian for sure.

She is such a beautiful creature, and this is an amazing, touching story. I cannot believe that more people don't feel such compassion to these wonderful beings.

Humans often think of themselves as higher up and better than the rest, when in fact, such views only make you lower.

  • the veggies are messed up too. Your messed up both ways if you eat produced food anyway. Im not a meat eater either. No one should eat anything that is living avoid the gmo foods soy and most acidic herds. Now im trying to detox my body of all the poison i was force feed

  • It's hard, a lot of food contains harmful things... even vegetables... people are slowly killing themselves. :(

  • We do know what goes on behind the scenes. Are you saying farmed animals are not killed for meat? Because that is what we are against. I don't care if an animal is sang to, massaged, & prayed for before they are slaughtered, they are still killed. So if you are implying that my concern is the welfare of farmed animals, I couldn't care less. It's the exploitation & violence I'm focused on, not the manner in which it is carried out.
