  • get t120s there much better and good to sctratch on

  • DJ Silk is amazing, I'm not putting the T.60's down, they're a great quality table, but Dj Silk has so much experience and talent he can manipulate most average decks and make them sound niiiiiiice

  • are these decks good for mixing on?

  • what vinyl is he scratching with

  • What's the scratch record that he uses? The first record in the description is a house record, the second record is the beat that he uses. Neither of the records in the description are scratch records.

    Thanks.

  • well im convinced

i was debating on these or the numark battle pak 4

    but its these i pick

  • well now im convinced

i dont know much about turntables but i wanted to get into them and start scratching

so i was looking at the cheapest one and didnt know wheteher to buy the Numark Battle Pak v.4

    or the Stanton T60s

    but now im convinced

    im goin wit the Stantons

if anyone can tell me why i shouldnt and go with the numarks please feel free to help me

if not i already have my mind set on these

  • what's the record that he scratches on? the one at his right hand :)

  • whats the name of the crossfader which is used in this mixer? are the faders good for scratching???

sorry for my bad englisch, iam from germany :)

  • The fader used is the standard fader that comes with the mixer and it is excellent for scratching. The Urei 1601 is a great scratching mixer and comes with replaceable crossfaders if you wish to upgrade/replace them.

  • sick scratching. very mint.

got the same setup and also a pair of c314s

    stanton 4 life :)

  • can u scratch on belt drive turntables?

  • Not really because you don't have the same torque compared to a direct drive.

  • anybody got these? watcha think about them? how are they for scratching?

  • Check the comments below!

  • how long have you been doing the whole scratching thing for ?

personaly i love the upfaders on the ureis .... great for scratching on !

  • DJ Silk has been scratching for a number of years.

  • on-point cutting and juggling, man. i've heard some good things about the t60's, as well as some bad things. well, there's only one bad thing and it seems to be the lack of torque, especially for scratching and juggling. how's the torque on this deck? is it any good for battle djing? thanx! btw, i used to own two 1200's (i copped them used) but the pitch controls were messed-up and the decks were pretty beat-up when i got them so im not buying used equip. anymore and i've got my eye on this deck

  • As you can see from the above video it is possible to scratch and juggle well on these decks. However if you have a bit more money and want to go for something beyond the beginner level that these decks are aimed at check out the Stanton T120. We use it in our store for customer listening posts and think it's got some of the strongest torque out there.

  • good job.scratch seal owns!

  • i got those

  • is the stanton dj lab 2 any good?

  • It definately is. A great set at a great price that's perfect for the beginner out there. This will get you going and makes a great start before you start adding in effects units etc to it.

  • very good scratching..but hes using a $500 mixer..

  • The Mixer he is actually using costs only $388.95 from the htfr(.)com website...

  • how much it cost in USD??

  • Approx $236.07 EACH. Please check the htfr website for up to the minute prices.

  • Hi what would you recommend between the stanton t60's and the tt 02 overall and why thanks

    RS!

  • Stanton, because of their build quality, torque response and reputation with the whole of their turntable range.

  • whats the difference between a straight tone arm and an s-shaped one??

  • The difference between the two tone arms is really just the actual shape of them. As the descriptions of them state, one is straight and one is 'S' shaped. The straight one is preferred by turntablists as its less likely to skip and jump while scratching though.

  • thats what i thought!

  • i have a t.60 and a t.80..... the difference between the two are pretty heavy if you take the motor strength into consideration....i can do stuff with the t.80 that i cant do with the other....throw in the sa.5 mixer and youve got a pretty cool setup at good price (i just cant @#^^%$#$ crab with the sa.5) is it me or the mixer????

  • so a good turntable for a beginner is the stanton t60?

also, what good mixers go with it?

  • i buy t.60, but a single two t.60's... and other mixer... The SINGLE T.60 Have all cable for connect The Two Turntable and the mixer? or not?

  • A single T60 will come with all cable connections needed.

  • ur insane man thats good stuff right there

  • Fantastic vid! i want to buy a Stanton Dj Lab pack 3 (with a T.80 turntable) its equal of this? for you its good turntable?

  • Thye DJ Lab 3 pack is a great package. The T.80's are better than the T.60's with more features such as 8 & 12% pitch, reverse play, and key control. The Urei mixer is however better than the M202 which is part of the DJ Lab 3 pack. Take a look here htfr(.)com/dj-packages/?minprice=169&maxprice=1469&manufacturer=stanton for Stanton packages with Urei mixers.

  • I had to sell my 1210s n ttm56 mixer and im looking for another set of cheepish decks for scratching so i think i might get a set of these, whats the cut in time like on the uri mixer?

  • The Urei 1601 range has full curve control & reverse on the crossfader, aswell as the channel faders, making this ideal for scratch DJs.

  • then what about the t90 usb ones ?

can you record the set you do directly too your apple or pc ?

  • You can record from the turntable that is connected by USB. If you were looking at recording your set you'd want a mixer with USB out, or an audio interface to run from the rec out or booth out on your mixer to enable you to record your mixes. The Behringher UCA 202 is very popular for this.

  • thanks man

guys at the local stores didn't know what too tell me

  • What do you think to stanton t80's?

  • If you can afford it, go for it over the T60, it's basically an upgraded version of the T60 providing you with a few extra features and is ideal for archiving vinyl to a computer or stand-alone cd recorder.

  • Ok thanks :)

  • If any, are their major differences between the t.80 and t.120 besides the price?

  • The is a difference between the two. The T.80 has a pitch range of 8 & 12% whereas the T.120 has a larger scale of 8, 25 & 50% with pitch bend buttons. You also have a stronger motor, meaning more torque on the T.120 and adjustable start and brake times too.

  • T80's have a better tonearm as well as an upgraded clutch but dont buy it unless you plan on mixing, it is passable as a scratch table but you will find that both tables are poorley assembled, try Gemini TTO2 199$ and the biggest motor in the industry

  • i own the t80's. they work great. they are pretty powerful direct drives for the price.

  • what records are those ur using...thx

  • Click the more info button on the top right of this page (about this video) and you will find links to the two records used.

  • Before I buy a set, in your honest opinion are these good enough to use at a live gig especially for a significant amount of scratching.

  • For the price they can't be beat. However if you are willing to spend more money then the STANTON STR 8150 - htfr(.)com/more-info/MR104570 is worth a look!

  • I just picked up a T60x yesterday (I already have a Shure cart I'm happy with). These are *GREAT* tables for the money. I used to own 1200s back in the day but these are just as good for a bedroom DJ. If all you do is make mixtapes and DJ as a hobby these are excellent. If you own a club, radio station, or DJ out everynight -- then invest in some 12s. Otherwise these are great. It seems like these track better than my 12s did when scratching, and my cart is pretty mediocre.

  • What's the difference between the T60 and T60x? As far as I can tell it's just that one comes with a cart and the other doesn't.

  • The T60x doesn't come with a cart. ALL turntables at HTFR come with a cart and stylus however so you can get going right away out of the box.

  • hey there. I just got these turntables. and i got them hooked up with my speakers and all. but for some reason it sounds muffled and echoey. any comments? but sometimes it would sound normal. i checked the connection and everything.

  • It could be that the turntables have not been grounded correctly, other than that ideally you need to try the turntables on another set of active speakers / amplifier and speakers or hi-fi, to see if the same happens, just so you can isolate whether it may be the turntables or the speakers you are using.

  • you wish you could flare, i can feel it

  • damn this iz off da mutha fuckin chain

  • I noticed that their are two Stanton T60's you can buy, one with a cartridge and one without a cartridge. So my question is do you need a cartridge with your turntable. What is a cartridge, and what does it do? Also, I noticed on Guitar Center's website that they sell a stand alone cartridge by Stanton for $15.00. So if a cartridge is needed and I buy the stand alone one, how would I install it.

Sorry I have so many questions.

  • At HTFR(.)com we only sell the T60 with a cartidge and stylus allowing you to play right out of the box. The cartridge is best described as the bit that holds the needle (aka stylus). You WILL need one of these to play records. We also sell a wide range of cartridges and styluii suiting all budgets and styles. Finally installing it is easy, view our Beginner DJ tutorial videos on our channel to show you how easy it is.

Any more questions, feel free to ask.

  • i finaly got my DJ Lab.2 pack

  • fuck me that guy is amazin

  • 5 stars nice and clean scratchin great vid

  • do you sell any flightcases for a Numark TT500 turntable?

  • Yes we do, although it will need a bit of modding, but the following will hold the numark:

    htfr(.)com/more-info/MR90174

  • homie got skillz

  • doesn't it ruin the records? Or the needle?

  • Over time wear and tear on needles and records will happen if you scratch or not. Scratching can increase this wear and tear but if you use the right needles, set up your turntable correctly and are gentle your records and needles should last for a very long time.

  • cool...

  • I have the Stanton 505 V3 cars on my Technics SL1200's and the darn things wabble and skip like crazy they are a far cry from the Shure M44-7's I used to rock. Do you have any recomendations? Do you have to set the counter weight high? Or possibly reverse the counter weight?

  • The shure m447's have a reputation for tracking but there is no reason the 505 shouldn't perform well. The shure is an extremely large cart so you need to make sure you didn't adjust the height to account for that and now have the height of the tone arm wrong. Secondly you need to make sure that you when setting up remove all anti skate from the tone arm and zero the tone arm properly, i.e find the level where the tone arm floats freely parallel to the turntable with the cartridge mounted.

  • Then simply apply the recommended weight for the cart. Normally this can be a fair range 2-5g for example, in this case you need to experiment within that range to find where is spot on. Stanton have a micro site dedicated to their impressive cartridge range which you will find some useful information regarding set-up which may also help:

    stantondj(.)com/v2/cartridge/index.php

  • i used stanton t60 but it was unreal to scratch for me

platter always moves up and down and needle always jumps of the record

    amazing video

  • whats kind of Cartridge is that???

  • It is the Stanton 500 v3 - htfr(.)com/more-info/MR193144

  • what kind of slip mats are you using?

  • The standard ones that come with the Stanton T60's

  • very very good

  • Which is better Numark TT1625 or Stanton T60?

  • Where is that store locate

  • You can find us online at htfr(.)com or you can visit our store in the heart of Birmingham City Centre. Directions on our website.

  • I thought Technic 1200's were the best around? Props to the DJ getting down. What I hate to see is someone new with money go and buy computerized equipment and do stuff like this right off the bat! A buddy of mind has the Technic CD 1200's and it is just not fair to the DJ's who practiced for hours learning this!

  • :O i was going to buy a pair of numark turntables but after this i think im gonna buy this ones...which ones are better the t.60 or the t.80???

  • The Stanton T 80 is the better of the two turntables, with more features such as: Key Control, Digital Output, + & - 8 & 12 % pitch and reverse play.

  • Yadadadada aye mad props to DJ Silk mayne...that was raw..yea i do a lil DJ-in on the side for my ppls parties n wat not..right now im only using the Stanton C.314 CD-J's...but im hoping to get sum Vinyl tables...but yea that was a great inspiration mayne..ima go n practice sum more right now! lol =]

~CHRiSTiAN aka MiLK DUD SPUD aka DJ Spudnik

  • end of his first set 3:00+ was good

  • HTFR aup ive just started mixing but im torn between the stanton t.60 and the numark tt1650. what would you recomend thanks

  • We'd recommend the Stanton T 60 overall, the overall build quality, and torque is second to none.

  • wow.... thanks... oh yeah... and where is this store?

  • You can find us online at htfr(.)com or you can visit our store in the heart of Birmingham City Centre. Directions on our website.

  • yo, wat mixer are you using... I was going to start out with numark turntables, but thanks to your demo, i'm rethinking and probably save up for the Stanton t60's... thanks man...

  • The mixer used is the Urei 1601 - you can find it on the htfr website or click the links in the 'About This Video' section on the top right of this page.

  • i have numark turntables and if u learn how to use them there great.

  • oh.... thats kewl.... wat kind of numarks?

  • Major props to DJ Silk! way to go man

  • wow...i have T60's and now i know what can be done. i just gotta get my ass to practicing. that was insane, and im definitly coppin those mims vinyls. peace.

  • Massive respect to this DJ.

My mate has T.60s and says they're impossible to scratch on. I might go over to his house and try it out just to show him up because i'm an asshole like that.

But good shit HTFR. I've recommended alot of people who've messaged me from the UK wanting to know where to buy gear to you guys.

  • can i buy 2 of these for 500 bucks ?

  • They cost roughly £243.01 each, so yes, you could buy two for $500, visit the htfr(.)com website for more details and don't forget to select the currency on the top right of the screen.

  • wat type of mixers are good for scratching?

  • You can't go wrong with the Urei 1601 as demonstrated in this video, it has a huge range of features at an incredable price. Check out htfr(.)com for more details!

  • i meant, what features does a mixer have to have for it to be good for scratching?

  • A good quality scratch mixer will include such features as a replaceable crossfader with full curve control and also a reverse switch (sometimes known as a hamster switch), and an uncluttered faceplate around the crossfader so your less likely to knock any buttons, switches or faders while using the crossfader.

  • ye i recomend the urei 1601E mixer to any one, got mine from HTFR in january for 250 quid BARGAIN, has every thing u need, FX loops, reverse switches, replaceble parts, and looks the balls :D goes great with my 1210s :D

  • I wanted to buy a Stanton T60 turntable. I am completley new to DJing, this would be my first turntable. So my question is do you use vinyl records with the T60? If so, do you use 7" or 12"? If not, what type of records would you use?

  • Yep, you use vinyl with the Stanton T60 turntable and can use 7" and 12" on it. With 7" you may need to buy a 45 adapter depending on the vinyl, this is the same for all turntables.

  • hi htfr i was wondering if these decks r gud for mixing hardcore would this decks be ssuitable to put with stanton t60s

  • This is one of out best, cheapest decks out there. If you can afford the Stanton Str8 150's then go for them, but the T60's will get you started in style.

  • Is he using the slip-mats that come with the t.60's?

  • The slipmats used are the ones that come with the T60.

  • where can i find ur stores

  • Out store is located in Birmingham City Centre, UK. Visit our website htfr (dot)com and visit out map page for more detailed directions.

  • anyone know how to do the drag on the stanton cdj

  • I was wondering if the Stanton DJ Lab 2 was any good. I've never used the turntables before and want to self learn. Is it difficult to teach myself how to use it?

  • It should be pretty easy. Why not check out the book - 'How to DJ [properly]' Which you can find on our website using MR code 85250

  • k so i bought it its amazing! i love it

but... the cross fader.. like u cant cut.. i hav no ida y and u seem to hav helped me befor i thought u might now.. cuz i bought it to scrath and u cant relly with no cuting its just not worth it so i got the dj.lab 2 so itcomes with the mixer it hink its the 201. or something so if u cud plzz ancer that wood be gerat..and allso what is the vinly u are playing to at 6:15

  • You will need to have a play about with the adjustable cross curve knob settings on the front of the mixer in the panel named X-Fader. This will allow you to have the cross fader either fade smoothly or cut off which is what you are after. Check out out Urei 1601 video which may be able to help you with a few other tips and tricks.

As for the vinyl, check the text to the right of this box (more info) where you'll find links to both records used.

  • wow u can help alot man but on my

m.201 it doesnt hav that so mabe u can help more?

  • The Stanton M.201 is a good entry level 2 channel mixer but is not ideal for scratching. In the video above we used the Urei 1601 which is more suitable for scratching.

  • ok so..

i got it wroking all fine id just wanna no how to get the wahh soaund u no ahh wen u unno djs allways doit.. if u can acner that il leve u alone >:P

  • I'm not sure what you mean exactly...

You could always buy the book 'How to DJ [properly]' on our website which will give you loads of tips and tricks.

  • hey i just bought a stanton set and i wanna hook it up and scratch through my labtop. Do you think could tell me of all the equipment i need to do this. also, if you dont mind, cuold you give me a walkthrough?

  • See below for the answer to your question. Then go and check out youtube[dot]com/htfr for a video on the Stanton Final Scratch 2 which will show you how it is used!

  • Can you connect these to da computer and can I also scratch songs from da computer???

  • You sure can with the right software and hardware. We would suggest using Stanton Final Scratch 2 with you can find on our website. The MR number is 148125 which will help you find the product quickly on our website.

  • Okay. Thanks for da help. I appreciate it.

  • how did u scratch on one deck and have the other deck playing a record on one mixer

  • Emaaa

Some people tell me don't buy Stanton, keep your money for any Technics tournables. I have not enough money for it. Is this good set for scratch, hommies parties and fun: Stanton T.60 + Stanton SA-3 scratch mixer? thanks & peace

  • Whilst Technics are great, a lot of people only buy them because of the name and their well deserved reputation. As you can see in the video the Stanton turntables offer great quality at a fantastic price. You can scratch and party your way through any DJ set with the Stanton T60's and the SA-3, and all for a fantastic price.

  • thnxs htfr

  • k so right now i hav a VCI-100 and want to move up and yes this is what i want i apriced it out i just need to oder it but is it hard to set up???? does it comee wit all the cords and eveything? plz replay to this thx Kev-

  • All leads come included and it's as easy to set up as plugging it in and connecting your turntables to your mixer.

  • ok thank yu 1 more thing tho

u dont need a pregram to run it right?

i cud just pulg it in to my amp for the music? and so what? and do they stell sell the dj.lab 2?

  • Nope, it all connects straight to your speakers, you don't need to run it through a PC at all.

  • if i buy the stantons t.60 but with a differnet package would i get the same needles

  • Yes, you will get the same cart and stylus as they are included with ALL T60's

  • hey im jst about 2 get my 1st decks fae htfr and im wondering if the STANTON T 60 / BEHRINGER VMX 200 are a gd set

  • We can certainly recommend them for a 1st set of decks!

  • do you need to buy a needle ? or does that follow in the price ?

  • It's all included.

  • can you connect these to a soundcard to use time coded vinyls?

  • Hey there,

Quick question coming straight from a beginner: Does the Stanton T-60 have an output jack which can be plugged into a computer to record sound?

If so, then this is 99.9% going to be my first turntable set, because I want to record scratching int o my music directly.

    Thanks in advance :)

  • Unfortunatly it does not.

  • well one this i wud like to know is are the needles he is using the same as the ones that would come with the turntables because scratch needles are expensive.

  • The needles that he is using are the same as what come with the Stanton T60, they are also shown close up in the video too.

  • Nice, looking forward to saving for a good turntable set to add a new element and hobby to my music.

    Thanks for the advice.

  • how much is one of that turntables?

  • You can find the Stanton T60 for sale on the HTFR website for £119 and we also offer a price match service too!

  • nice i use cdj's but i wanna get a feel of the turntables but does anyone know any good vinly store in queens ny

  • what battle record was silk using to scratch with, the ooooh sample was tight?

  • sweet!!! getting sum or yeah!!!

  • We used the Stanton slipmats that come with the turntable along with THUD RUMBLE SLIPMATS FROSTED PLATES - MR207264 - You can find them on our website, just type in the MR number to go straight to them. Although these were only used due to the preference of the DJ as we feel you could achieve the same results without them.

  • did he use the stanton slipats, or did he use after market??? thanks !!!

  • how did you get over the torque problems with these tt's????

  • No tricks were used in the making of this video and as you can see DJ Silk had no trouble with the torque of these turntables, which is why we feel these make a great entry level turntable.

  • cool

  • Wow thats a nice dj set :) But think: the DJs can use pc software too. :) Like I do...

  • I use Serato Scratch with my Stanton Str8-80s, check out my mixes at youtube-com/RA7

  • |: |: |: IT'S INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!!

  • hmmmmmm.....coool!!! i thot u couldnt do much wit those decks guess i was wromg thinking of getting a pair :)

    thanks for da demo!!!

  • mint \\\\\\

  • Fresssshhh!

  • What's the song called he juggles with??

  • The two records used are:

    THE UNDERDOG PROJECT - MR65879

    MIMS - MR223258

Both of which can be found on the htfr website.

  • Thx!
