I signed up for YouTube just for this song! As a high school English teacher, would it be possible to get the words to this? I think it would be fun to give the kids a treasure hunt assignment to figure out what all the terms mean before I teach them.

I'll work on getting the words! I've been meaning to do it for a while, now. The funny part is I don't know what most of the metaphors are. But I still think they're hilarious. I'll send an e-mail off to the writer and try and get the words.
Sorry I didn't see this! I (the guitar player) had the lyrics put up in the video details. I'm flattered you want to use the song for class! I hope all turns out, and I apologize for the delay!
I feel bad for cptsqweky, it is a known fact that people who specialize in an area can lose their sense of joy for it having it replaced with left-brain technical analysis. I don't know the word for it, but that is what happened.
I personally LOVE the song and applaud you both for taking the time to make others laugh.
My husband and I have had a great amount of chuckles from this song. Thanks for posting it. : D Is chuck the knick-name for the guitar player or a mutual friend? Oh and what is the words of the last stanza? Are you saying type 4 sentence?
"Love could be the linking verb that connects us like a type 4 sentence."
I'm glad it made you laugh! That's basically the point. And yes, I guess you could say that Chuck is a knick-name... her real name is Charlie C: She's the musical genius who wrote the song and she is also playing the guitar for it.
I'm an editing minor, myself. I get all of the jokes, they just seemed very forced to me, which makes them not very funny. It's like Christian Rock. It's not that the songs are inherently bad, but the lyrics always seem forced which grates on the ears and detracts from the quality of the song.
Two cute girls singing about grammar and one of them is named Chuck? Sign me up.

The whole point is that it IS ridiculous. xD But hey, I'm not forcing you to listen to it or like it.
sadexcuse4amango 3 years ago
if you met chuck, you would either laugh or change your address and move as for away for her as possible...
Tsarocksmysocks 2 years ago
She's the one playing the guitar, right? Then yes, I do know her. Not very well, but I know her, by sight and by the sound of her voice.
