My dad is the judge. It's nice to see people notice us. It's been done for years. First we have the parade then you sort of follow the town to the lions park then we have various foods,activities,and entertanment. it's was fun getting wet. it's hot but the frezzing water. i was there standing and watching.
This is Benson tradition. After the 4th of July parade, make your way down to the park and watch the various law enforcement and fire departments battle it out pushing an empty keg along a wire. It's like tug of war, except with water and alot of water pressure.
I remember this. I live in the Pomerene area for 3 years and remember this event! That was way back in the the mid 90's

Hey I was there! My brother in law is Benson fireman so he did the water fight. Way fun day ~ Kinda hot though lol
